In the city of Seoul, Lee Chaeyeon lived a life as the lethal and smart first-rank Assassin. She was also the most wanted assassin in the world as fellow first-rank Assassins from other clans would die to have her head for decor. With their undying attempts to get her to come to failure, they failed altogether. Chaeyeon had the ability to kill them before they could lay a single finger on her body.

After all, the Assassins of the Lee Clan weren't strong for nothing.

One day, Chaeyeon tries to steal a Piece of Eden from an auction as a task for their Sisterhood. She successfully took the mysterious artifact and was about to escape the auction when she was stopped by her nemesis Kwon Eunbi; a Templar who had been chasing her for years - even since they were low-tier members on their own Sisterhoods.

"Drop the piece of Eden, Lee." Eunbi drew her sword. "Don't make me summon my women."

Chaeyeon checked her peripherals, seeing five Templar soldiers behind her. However, she was smart enough to escape Eunbi and her guards, all thanks to her unlikely skills and Eunbi's high hubris.

"After her!" Eunbi snapped at her guards.

She saw Chaeyeon being chased by them. She threw her sword away, slapping the flush on her face.

Call her crazy but she couldn't help but feel hot seeing Chaeyeon's gaze.

Chaeyeon ran away, hiding the artifact in her knapsack before she climbed up buildings and decided to hide within the Bureau. But then, the Templars were catching up and decided to sacrifice the city in order to kill her. There were big explosions located in the east although fortunately, there were no residents being injured for their Sisterhood caught up and moved the innocents out in advance. 

Which is why, Chaeyeon had to avert her way towards the Bureau and help her fellow sisters in war.

During the explosions, Chaeyeon did her silent kills, destroying Templars and saving the innocent. She also kept her knapsack close to her body and met Eunbi again. 

She would've killed her right there. However, her admiration begged to differ. 

There was an eerie black explosion close to Chaeyeon's area, sending her flying towards the sky. With the enormous impact, Chaeyeon landed on the ground, all bloody and desynchronized. 

What a great way to die, she thought.

"Lee!" A taller assassin got to her.

"We have the same surname, silly." Chaeyeon managed to speak despite being bloody and halfly-paralyzed. "A simple Chaeyeon would've been fine, Kaeun-unnie."

"Hush. I'll get you help." Kaeun attempted to carry her to the Bureau.

"Don't, unnie. The Bureau will be in debris if we go there. We must not compromise the Sisterhood, remember?" Chaeyeon smiled, showing her teeth mixed with blood. "I got the artifact. You need to take it."

Kaeun didn't want to. She knew Chaeyeon was right about their Creed but it was wrong to leave her behind. Above the Creed was her subordinates and that always mattered to her.

"I'll be fine, unnie. Now go and take it." Chaeyeon pointed at her knapsack."

Kaeun cuts it off Chaeyeon's hold. She saw the insides and sighed. "I'll make sure Master Lee receives it. And I'm coming back for you!"

Chaeyeon nodded and Kaeun disappeared. She was relieved that she was off of the task's burden.

"I thought too soon…" Chaeyeon mumbled as Eunbi got into view.

Her five guards were behind her once again. Chaeyeon couldn't hold a chuckle. "Six strong Templars against one weak Assassin? You tipped the scale like it was a seesaw."

"Go and help our sisters." Eunbi demanded. "I'll take over from here."

The five obeyed their senior and disseminated. Chaeyeon was faced by the goddess of her dreams - more like the devil of her dreams.

"Let's get this over with." Chaeyeon grinned and closed her eyes.

"I thought you wouldn't ask." Eunbi chuckled as he stabbed her sword.

Chaeyeon gasped as she couldn't believe she was alive. Based on her perspective, she now resides in an old room, which happens to be one of the hidden places of Seoul, far from the sight of Assassins and Templars.

What shocked her most was that her nemesis got inside with a tray of food on hold.

"What are you doing here?!" Chaeyeon was completely shocked. 

"Asking how you got here would be better." Eunbi spoke and got closer. "Eat. Then we'll talk."

Chaeyeon thanked her for the meal and ate gracefully. Eunbi may be the strongest Templar in their clan but she was the weakest when looking at Chaeyeon. She loved how Chaeyeon munched like a cute hamster, how her white shirt hugged her toned build, and how her hair was down.

It had to end, though. Chaeyeon was done eating and Eunbi had to put the tray aside.

"How did I get here?" 

"That was a tedious process. I had to stab you in a mendable area of your body so the Sisterhood will be convinced of your death. I also had to carry you here myself, which was a hundred miles from the city proper." Eunbi began. "You had to rest here for six months. I used the Shroud to mend your paralysis."

"Why didn't you kill me?"

"Because you can't kill me." Eunbi raised and got closer to Chaeyeon. "Love is also a hindrance to that."

Chaeyeon blushed. Eunbi blushed as well but she maintained a strong stand to break their gaps and seal a kiss. Chaeyeon gulped but kissed back, reaching a hand to hold Eunbi's face. That went on for what seemed like forever but they broke for air.

They were total opposites but they never thought a specific emotion would make them meet in the middle and be the same.

"We should stay here for a while before returning to our Sisterhoods." Eunbi suggested. "We need to let the dispute cease before we appear like magic."

"I like that." Chaeyeon pulled Eunbi closer. "That way, I can make up the time for you."

Eunbi agreed. She could only grin before they shared another kiss.

Both of them returned to their Sisterhood but their lives became different. From the famous members that dominated their battlefields, they now fought in the shadows.

Chaeyeon's body changed drastically and it turned her into a better fighter. When her cold eyes opened, she was known to be the ghost of her own lethal and smart  first-rank Assassin. When the incompetent expose their edges, she is utterly brilliant with her ways of dealing them, gaining the same fifth-rank position as Kaeun and gaining numerous women in the Sisterhood that would greatly admire her. Within her heart and in another part of Seoul was Eunbi, residing as the 7th Master Templar of the country - also the Seneschal of their Sisterhood. She is the absolute queen of the night, cold blooded and ruthless. 

In troubled times, chance allowed them to meet, a zither and flute ensemble together. Since then, in life and death, they become secret rouges that go hand in hand.
