The ideals of love vary and sometimes – even if you are destined with one person – others tend to destine you to another.

This was the case of one frog and one hamster. They were watching their latest shoot for a variety show with one duck and one koala.

“Ah…you two are too close!” The hamster spat. “You could’ve maintained a wider distance!”

“Sorry, Yuri…but the director wanted us to actually turn into a human sandwich.” The koala shrugged.

“Seriously, Chaewon?” The frog asked. “God, I hated that shoot…”

“You hate the shoot or you hate whom you’ve been partnered with?”

“YENA!” 

Yena just quacked her way out of the scene as Chaewon chased her. Now, Yuri remained on her seat while crossing her arms. Minju seated next to her and hugged her. “Can you not be grumpy now?”

“Tell that to me when you’re a meter apart.”

Minju pouted as she hugged Yuri again. “It won’t happen again, okay?”

“You promise?” Yuri asked as she looked back to meet her face.

A peck was on Yuri’s lips and she became flushed. Minjoo just smiled. “That was my promise.”

“Aish…” Yuri almost cussed. “Why do you have to scale me up with your kisses?”

Minju puckered her lips for another kiss when Yuri stopped her and decided for hugs instead.

Another schedule comes another VLive and another celebration of a member’s birthday. Everyone was singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song as Minju had the cake in her hands.

She was giddy for this because today, Yuri celebrates her birthday.

“Happy birthday, Yul.” Minju placed the cake. “Now make a wish.”

Yuri shuts her eyes and all of the members waited. She blew her candles and everyone applauded.

“Let’s go.” Yena held her hand and pulled her to come with her.

“Where are we going?” Yuri asked.

“To get married.”

Everyone’s reactions were priceless. For Minju, she cooed and laughed with Chaeyeon but her inner self was flipping out like an angry Pepe meme.

The VLive was calm after that. Yena was by Minju’s side and would’ve maintained her smile when she saw Minju’s eyes.

Yena’s inner self cussed. How could she pull that stunt in front of Minju’s salad?

“Hey, unnie…” Minju whispered. “…I might gonna kick your after this live.”

“Please spare me…” Yena mouthed as they focused on the live.

The VLive ended successfully. Yuri had a wonderful live for her birthday, especially that she celebrated it with her members. Amid the happiness, one of them was silently feeling jealous. 

“Yul…” Minju got closer to her. “…we should talk.”

Yuri nodded and lets herself be pulled by Minju. They got outside their practice room and towards the veranda, a secluded spot in their company where nobody would notice them. That way, they can have a peaceful talk.

“What’s there to talk about, Min?” Yuri asked. “You look distressed. Is something wrong?”

Minju raked her fingers onto her scalp as Yuri inched closer to hug her. Minju’s heart became soft immediately that she hugged Yuri back.

“I can’t believe that duck just told you to get married with her.” Minju started. “And you just let her be.”

“Min, it was a live. I couldn’t just drive Yena-unnie away.” Yuri spoke as she eased Minju’s shoulders. “Don’t let it get to your head, okay?”

Minju also held Yuri’s shoulders and hugged her again. “I’m sorry if I nagged at you again.”

“Don’t we do that a lot?” Yuri looked up at her and they laughed. 

“We do…but our emotions can’t be helped.” Minju added. “We stick to the ideals without the public knowing that we’re supposed to be the true ideals.”

“I know…but can’t we be strong for each other?” Yuri asked as she tried to appeal to Minju. “Showbiz may be our field but we can sugarcoat it without affecting our relationship, right?”

“You’re right.” Minju nodded as she still hugged Yuri. “Besides, Yena and Chaewon had been our shields.”

“We heard you two.” They looked to see Chaewon and Yena. “And we’re obliged to being your shields.”

Minju and Yuri broke from each other and were blushing. Chaewon bursts laughing and Yena reacted. “Aish…you’re gonna lie in front of us now?”

“Also, we came here because Eunbi called us to gather for our practices,” said Chaewon.

Minju and Yuri just nodded and followed Chaewon and Yena back to the practice room.

It was a vacant day for IZ*ONE and most of the members went to do whatever they wanted to do. Minju and Yuri considered this day as a good choice for them to have a date.

They were sitting on the grass by the Han River and talked about the good moments they had – from the time they ate snacks most of the members prepared for Chaewon’s graduation to an old memory of them taking each other’s pictures when they were in the U.S.A.

“Speaking of which…” Minju showed her digital camera. “…let me take a video of you.”

Yuri agreed and went closer by the riverside. Minju told her to turn around and look at the camera when it was her cue. 

“Yuri-ya~” Minju called.

Yuri turned around but the wind messed up her hair. She asked to do it again and delete the footage. Minju was obliged to do so but there was no way she’d delete Yuri’s video.

Even if she looked like a dork, Minju thoughg she was just the most beautiful girl ever.

“Yuri-ya~” Minju called again.

Yuri looked again and delivered a good pose. Minju couldn’t help but wow.

“Let’s do it again, Min.” Yuri spoke and got closer.
“Your time’s up, Yul. Let me have my turn.”

Yuri whined again but Minju shrugged her off and ran like a raging frog. Yuri laughed because of the antic yet she took a video of Minju this time.

“Happy New York~” Minju spoke as she raised her arms.

“This isn’t New York, Min.” Yuri chuckled. “Aigoo~ you’re looking pretty again.”

Yuri finished shooting the video and checked it out. She gasped on seeing her weird videos and planned to delete them.

“Oh no~” Minju stopped her. “You’re not deleting those.”

Yuri pouted and wanted to get the camera but Minju had a longer arm. Also, she made Yuri freeze by holding her close. 

“Kiss me first then I’ll let you delete it.” Minju spoke as she puckered her lips.

“No.” Yuri was flushed and walked away. 

Minju got her turn to whine while she told Yuri to wait.

Amid their showbiz life portraying them to different ideals, it doesn’t stop them to be strong and always remember that their the true ideals for each other.
