THOUGHTS ARE IN ITALICS :)
Jaejoong POV
There’s always something about watching a person sleep – the serenity over her tired, yet beautiful face, the little drool down the corner of her lips, just everything about her drives me over the moon and I just cannot comprehend how it is possible.
I heaved a deep breath and scooted closer, my fingers reaching to wipe the drool away. Freaking baby! I couldn’t help but snicker to myself and reached to give her a side hug, failing to notice that the door to our room had opened.
“Why are your clothes on the floor?” Little Miss. Detective is here.
“Heyri-ah, Good morning” I smiled, but immediately showed her my palm whilst covering Reya with the blanket, forcing Heyri to stop her dead on her tracks.
She should never know the state in which the two of us are in.
NEVER!
“Why are your clothes down?
“Honey, just go to your room. I’ll be there” I whispered, loud enough for her to hear, not wanting to wake Reya up.
“Can’t I wake eomma up?”
“No Heyri, eomma is tired. Now please be a good girl and go to your room”
“But-”
“Heyri!”
“What?!” Reya sprung to life, eyes partly opened, hair dishevelled, looking quite lost. The blanket threatened to fall and I held in on time.
Reya groaned holding the side of her head, her jet lag finally hitting her and I couldn’t help but shoot a glare towards our daughter who had her eyes fixated over Reya. Nevertheless, taking the chance, I reached to grab my denims that I fortunately had not thrown it too far, sneaked in under the blanket and quickly wore it.
“Why are you not wearing your nightie Ray?”
“Alright you little brat” I carried her up, “How many times have I told you to not call your mother with her name?!” I warned quite sternly as I closed the door behind us and headed to her room.
“Mian appa. It just comes. But why are you not in your-”
“Too many questions Heyri” I cut her off, “Now brush your teeth and I’ll ready your bath”
I washed the little one and selected a cute t-shirt and matching denim shorts for her. She was pouting, plastering a completely unimpressed glare at me the whole time I dressed her up. It was utterly cute and I couldn’t help but pinch her cheek very briefly.
“Watch some cartoon. I’ll ready your breakfast” I informed and walked out first.
Wanting to check up on my beautiful fiancée, I peeped inside, only to see the bed re-arranged and the shower .
Darn it! I wanted a re-run of last night in the morning! Heyri completely ruined it!
Urgh! Why on earth was I adamant to bring her home when I could have leisurely done it today?!
Idiot Jaejoong!
My shoulders slumped, mood turning sour and dragged myself towards the kitchen. It was then my phone which still was in my left pocket rang.
“Good morning noona” I greeted my eldest sister, “What can I owe the pleasure of you talking to me so early?”
“Has Reya come home or is she still in New York?”
“She arrived last night noona, why ask?”
“Was planning to have the dress fitting in the evening little one.”
My heart skipped beats. “Is it already time for that? I thought you were still deciding on the venue and all”
My sisters were very eager to plan out the wedding on their own. They were so excited about the engagement that they began checking for venues the next morning! Aigoo! Although it is a girt to have caring siblings, it’s sometimes a pain too! Sometimes I don’t have a say at certain things! And it’s MY FREAKING WEDDING!
Then again, they know my little fantasy wedding dream, and from what I heard, it was going to be something mimicking that.
“Did you forget that your wedding is in less than 6 months?”
The date, by the way, was decided by my mother, who has been grumbling since the day I turned 25 that I should get married.
“Arrasso, arrasso, I’ll let Reya know”
“That includes you too!” She reminded, “I’ll confirm the time and call you back”
“Arasseo noona, gumawo for everything”
I kept my iPhone on the kitchen island and the fire. I noticed Heyri creep behind me and couldn’t help but smile.
“Hold on there Heyri-ah, appa will whip something up for you”
But she didn’t acknowledge me. So I turned, only to see her stare at me with a rather troubled face. I immediately shut the fire and stepped to her.
“Heyri-ah, gwenchana?” I verified, concern automatically lacing in my voice as I knelt in front of her. Her eyes followed my actions, and now looked right into my eyes.
She took a step forward once I held onto her.
“Wae?” I asked, “What’s wrong Heyri?”
Her eyes began to water and I began to panic.
“Heyri-”
“Are you making a little baby?”
My mind flushed clean. All I could do was to blankly stare at the little child in front of me trying hard to not cry now.
“Heyri-ah-”
“Appa please tell no.” She pleaded, “Appa, there is no baby right? You removed Ray’s clothes to just cuddle right? Not to make a baby right?”
What the hell is she talking now?!
I straightened up and held her tightly. Looking right into her eyes I asked, “Who told you about this?”
“You know when you took Ray-”
“Eomma” I corrected, my grip on her tightening, “She is your eomma now Heyri, so please stop calling her like that”
She looked back. I gently wiped the falling tear from her cheek. “Arasseo appa” She nodded
“Good girl” I smiled, “So-”
“Then can I be the only one to call her eomma?”
“Heyri, why are you-”
“Appa tell me!” She cut me off, her voice getting stronger. “It’ll only be me right?”
“Heyri calm down”
“No! I don’t want a baby!”
“Heyri!”
