Checking the time difference between New York and Seoul, I called my manager. Get ready to get scolded Jaejoong!

“Jaejoong-ah, did everything finish well?”

“Yes, hyung.”

“I’ve cancelled your concerts for the next two weeks. But you will have to perform them by this month, else we’ll have to pay extra to the venue.” Crap! Now what to do? “So come back soon.”

Tell it. Taking a deep breath “Hyung, about that…. I um you know, the kid needs to be looked after. So-”

“So what? You want to bring her here? Are you crazy?!” Ouch my ears

“Well, Hyun has made me a guardian. So-”

“WHAT THE HELL?” Bye, my left ear…

“Hyung just listen to me will you? Yes, I want to look after her. And no, I don’t want to bring her to Korea.”

“Don’t say it Kim Jaejoong, you’re not staying there. Not during your comeback.”

“Hyung, please.”

“No, get your back to Korea by next week else I’ll come there and drag you back home.”

And he cut the line.

Defeated I went downstairs to meet the other two.

“Reya are you crazy? You can’t resign the job?! Then how will you send money back home?!”

“Seriously Nate. That’s your problem?! I’ve given them more than they need for the past year. They can manage for one month. I’ll get a job here, don’t worry.”

“You’re crazy!”

“Stop repeating the same thing dude.” I entered the hall. I saw Reya walk towards the boy, “Nathan, I’m a network security engineer. America needs people like me nowadays. I’ll get a job. Don’t worry.” An engineer? I thought she just left high school!

I cleared my throat. Reya turned and smiled at me.

“So, about Heyri. I want to stay and help take care of here.”

Walking towards me, later standing right in front of me “Did you ask your manager?” Darn that strong stern voice of hers. She’ll make one powerful singer…

“Yeah.. So he kinda said no. But-”

“Of course he’ll tell no. It’s your comeback! You can’t just leave your job and come babysit a kid. No, don’t talk.” I immediately shut my mouth. “What about your fans? They waited for two years and now you cancel everything? Think!” When did she master the Korean language?

“You’re willing to give up your job for your friend’s child. Why can’t I do the same?” And that shut .

Turning to Nathan “And you call me crazy?! This guy is the living definition of crazy!” She corrected pointing at me.

“Yah! Is this how you act in front of elders?” I held her pointed finger
