As planned, I performed the missed concerts one week after I came back to Korea. Once performing, the management decided to have a fan meeting for me to directly inform them about my intentions. Yes, they accepted my request but allowing me to be in America for three months and be back for JYJ’s comeback. Which means that I have three months to win Heyri’s heart.

Standing in front of the crowd of fans, I cleared my throat and began my talk

“As all of you know, my friend passed away two weeks ago.” Some fans yelled their condolences.

“Thank you for your sympathies.” Breathing hard I continued “A rumours say, I have been made a guardian for his only child Lee Heyri.”

SILENCE

“So, to honour my friend’s last wish I will be looking after Heyri with the other guardians.”

“Oppa, will you be leaving us for that kid?”

“Please, listen to me. Please.” I raised my hand motioning them to calm down. How am I to convince them?

Gradually they calmed down.

“I want to get closer to Heyri. She’s the only connection that I have to my childhood friend. I know you have waited for me, supporting me for so long. I know it’s unfair. * takes a deep breath* The other guardians are leaving their jobs to look after her. I can’t just let them sacrifice their lives while I do what I love here. It’s against my conscience. So please understand.”

NERVE WRECKING SILENCE

“Oppa. Don’t worry. We’re there for you.” One girl screamed. The others followed

That’s when I realised that I was holding my breath so long. Sighing in relief, I smiled.

“All thanks to my considerate agency, I will be leaving to America next month.”

The whole crowd sighed.

“Don’t worry, it’ll be only for three months. I’ll be back for JYJ’s comeback. So just hold on a little more. We’ll be back stronger than ever.” And I ended my speech

A roar of claps and whistles were heard. They started chanting my name and JYJ. Relief spread around my body. I’m happy that I have such understanding fans.

Bowing, I thanked them. “So who’s ready to take pictures with me?”

The security immediately flowed and controlled the crowd, letting two people to me at a time.

Later that day, CJes released a statement to the media, backing up my talk.
