After 4 years..

"Christine.. Christine!!" I felt someone shaking me and I heard Nara unnie shouting my name. I grabbed the nearest pillow and put it over my head. "Ahhhhh, just 5 more minutes, unnie! I didn't get to sleep last night because of my final speech for the  graduation.." I groaned. 

"The more reason why you should get up!! Do you know that YG family is here, right now?" I jerked up and panicked, "WHAT?! They are where? When? How?" She laughed and laughed harder. I threw a pillow at her and said, "Aish! You're joking around again, aren't you?" I glared at my manager and said, "You are so unfair!"

"I'm not, it's just a funny way of waking you up. Now, get your up and get ready because it's already 11 AM and your graduation ceremony will be in 4 hours. Remember, your parents, your sister, your brother, and YG will be there." I nodded and stood up. It's been four years for me. I've never stepped on korea for 4 years now. I have never seen YG family for 4 years and I miss them so much. Only my family knows where I am. The whole YG family thinks I'm in the states but they don't know that I'm here in Canada. 

I've been training while studying and now, I'm already graduating from McMaster University here in Canada. I took Medical Radiation Sciences since I found it really interesting and now I'm the one who's going to say a speech for our batch. Believe it or not, the people who used me back then were on the same university as me. They tried to be friends with me but I just ignored them. I have a new set of friends and those are my crazy friends. Kyle or Kylie, yes, he's gay and he's also studying the same field as me and of course Kayla, Kylie's twin. They are one crazy twins and they are the opposite. Kylie is a nerd who is so carefree. He doesn't care about anything in the world unless it's me or his twin. They are rich as well but they don't get along with their parents.. Which is sad because their parents go to different countries every year without them. They just send postcards, gifts and such.. 

On the other hand, Kayla is a much reserved person. She's quiet, but when she's mad.. You better run. She will definitely kick your . She's a tough one, nobody dares to go near her because everyone is scared of her. While me, I'm changed. I'm a happy go lucky person once again and I'm contented with life. If you're going to ask me about boys, well.. I never dated for the past 4 years. I cleared up my mind and yes, I love Seunghyun. I realized that it was just infatuation that I felt towards Jiyong. 

"CHRISTINE!!!" I heard screams from outside and I rushed. "Omo, Kylie! Kayla! You guys are early today." I hugged the both of them while they hugged me back. "Of course girl! We have to get ready together! Wait, isn't your family supposed to come here today?" I nodded and said, "Yeah, Hyun sik oppa will be the one to pick them up, don't worry. You'll be able to see my dear brother." My friend here, Kyle is having a major crush on my brother.. 

"Stop it! I don't want to develop this crush anymore. I give up! I mean, he's engaged!" I chuckled and shook my head. Yes, my brother is engaged with Dara unnie. They are getting married next year and I'm really happy for them. It's been 10 years for them and I'm proud for they are still hanging tight. "What about your sister? Chrisa? How's her babies and her y fiance?" 

"Well, they are still planning the wedding. I know that they will get married this December." They are still not married because according to my sister, she doesn't want to get married when I'm not there. That's a good thing but I feel bad because Seungri has been waiting for the time where my sister wil see her in the aisle. And their babies? They are big now, they are 4 years old now and I'm still attached with Lynn, my favourite niece. Although I don't show any favouritism, I really like her personality the best. 

"I'm so excited to see them again! When was the last time they went here?" 

"Last year, summer." It's been that long.. They visit me every year and they make sure that nobody knows where I am. Well, Seungri knows, as well as Dara but hopefully the others don't. "Soooo, let's get popping!" Kylie said and I giggled. We went to my room and as usual, when they go here. My room turns into a mess. "Have you found your perfect dress yet?" Kylie asked me.

I nodded and he clasped his hands. "Really? Show it to us!!" I chuckled and nodded. I walked to the walk in closet that Seunghyun has designed for me and I glanced at the framed photo on the coffee table inside my closet. It was a picture of me and Seunghyun smiling. "I'm going to see you soon.. Just wait until your birthday, Seunghyun. I hope you still feel the same way as me. I trust your words." 

Last year, I called Seunghyun. It was the first time we talked after I left Korea and he was surprised. I was surprised that I called him. I thought I didn't have the guts to but I did. 

1 year ago.. November 4, 2017

I dialed Seunghyun's number and after a few rings, he picked it up and I heard his y deep voice. "Yoboseyo?" 

I couldn't answer for a while, I don't know why but there was something blocking my throat to speak. "Yoboseyo? Who's this?" He spoke the second time and I cleared my throat and said, "Seunghyun.."

There was silence enveloping us and it was awkward. "C-c-christine? Is this you?" I smiled because I was relieved that he still remembered my voice. "Mmm, yeah, it's me." I answered. Not really knowing what to tell him.

"Am I dreaming?" He asked and I couldn't help but to giggle. "Ani, you're not." I can speak korean now but I still have to work on my accent because I still have that filipino accent within me. 

"It really is you.." He said and I sighed. "Yes, it's really me, Seunghyun."

"How are you? I missed you.." He said and I couldn't help but blush. "I'm fine, I'm holding up. How about you? Are you doing fine?'

"Yes, I'm doing fine, I guess. How are your studies?" My smile didn't seem to fade at all. Just hearing his voice soothes me and it makes my heart flutter once again. "It's really hectic since it's my third year. It's also hard to juggle my schedule because I don't have a fixed schedule. It's very unpredictable, Seunghyun. I don't even know how I'm holding up." He chuckled and said, "You're Christine. You can do anything."

I sighed and said, "Not really.." 

"Hmm? What do you mean?" 

" I've been missing you so much, Seunghyun. I even regret stepping into here and I regret leaving you and make you wait for me.. It's been 3 years Seunghyun, aren't you tired? Didn't you find the girl of your dreams?"

He chuckled and I furrowed my eyebrows, "Christine.. When I told you I'd wait for you. I meant it, and no. Why would I find my dream girl when I've already found her? It's you, Christine. You're the girl of my dreams. I'll wait for another year and hopefully you'll come back to me and never leave my side." I smiled and I was happy because he still loves me.

"Thank you for waiting for me Seunghyun. I have to go now. Happy 30th Birthday, Seunghyun. Enjoy your day and I'll see you soon." I hung up before I could say anything more. 

"Christine! What the heck is taking you so long to come out of that damn closet of yours?!" I laughed and said, "Sorry! I got carried away. Hold on." I grabbed the dress and my other accessories and heels and got out of the closet. I laid it on my bed and Kylie and Kayla gasped in shock. "Damn girl! You will look so y wearing this! I'm so sure of it." 

"The y Christine Mendoza, aka the famous bomb shell of KPOP industry is going to graduate today!" Kylie exclaimed and Kayla nodded in agreement. "Aigoo, you two are making my head big."

"It's true though. I'm sure your boyfriend will be so proud of you once you surprise him for his birthday on November." I chuckled and shook my head. "He better like my surprise visit!" They chuckled and I sighed.

After a few minutes, I decided to shower and when I got out, I wore my robe and I started to dry my newly dyed dark brown hair with blonde highlights. I curled it and went to my bed while Kayla was showering and while Kylie was trying to figure out how he should style his hair. "Having troubles styling your hair?" He shook his head and said, "I have plans on my hair, just do whatever you're doing and shut up." I chuckled and rolled my eyes on him.

He never liked it when I bother him with his hair. He makes the most weirdest hairstyles in the whole wide world. He's like Jiyong, for example. Actually, his role model is Jiyong. Kylie has a lot of tattoos and I think he has 4 and counting. While I have two, my number one tattoo is on my left shoulder, it says "I swear we were infinite". Well to me, Seunghyun and I are infinite. Despite the troubles we had to come across, here he is waiting for me and I know that my love for him is infinite. My family resembles that tattoo as well, my love for them is infinite. My family  includes the YG family as well.. I had this tattoo last year, with the great persuasion of my great friend Kylie. Kayla on the other hand opposes it but she has one too. Her tattoo is just a small cross on her back.
