Chapter Twenty-Two
Try Smiling.

[HAEWON’S POV]

I walked down the stairs the tears still falling from my eyes, I didn’t even realize that my bedroom door had opened and closed again, then I felt a hand on my arm and pull me back when we were on the steps. I turned around and looked, it was Daesung.

“I still love you.” He said looking at me. He hugged me and kept me there for a few minutes. We separated from the hug and he started to kiss me.
I returned the kiss and we stayed like that for about 5 minutes, I pulled away from him and smiled.
“Even though we can’t be together, doesn’t mean that I don’t love you, because I do.” he said to me, he wiped the tears away off of my face.
“Try smiling for me please” he said softly, before I know it, a smile came from my lips.

I went in for a another hug and tears came back down, but they were happy tears. I looked at him. “what if I talk to him Daesung” I said to him.

He shook his head. “don’t then he will know that you spoke to me” He said as he held my hand in his, he kissed it. “I love you Haewon, I really do…I just want what is best for you.” he said there was no smile on his face.
“You have to understand that, I will always love you no matter what. I will never give up on it, and who knows maybe Seung-Hyun will change his mind.” he continued to talk. “there is doubt in my mind that he will change his mind, but we can only hope for now.” Daesung explained to me.

I just looked at him and then looked away. I turned around.
“So you’re saying its over between us.” I softly said.

“yes it is over between us. But I still-” I cut him off as I turned back around

“Yeah I know, you still love me. But it’s not the same if I’m not with you!” I started to yell. He placed his index finger on my lips. “Shhhh! You will wake up your brother and then it will really be over” He said to me. “We will be together again one day. But that one day isn’t now” He said looking at me, he moved his finger away from my lips, I looked at him.

“But I don’t want to wait” I said to him.

“You are going to have to learn to wait” he said to me.

“I don’t want to learn how to wait. I want you now!” I yelled again.
Then I heard a voice coming from down stairs.

“Haewon? Where are you, come to bed now” it was Seung-Hyun.
Daesung looked at me, he took my hand and kissed it.

“I love you Haewon…I really do…You just have to wait.” He said and turned around. He walked back up the stairs and went in my room.
A few tears came down from my eyes.

“Haewon” I heard my brothers voice get closer.
I wiped the tears away and walked down stairs.
Seung-Hyun saw me.
“What were you doing up there?” My brother asked me.

“ I needed to get something from my room. But I didn’t want to disturb them.” I answered him.

“Well if you need clothes to sleep in, you can were one of my shirts” He said looking at me.
I nodded.

“Thanks brother”
