The song blasted through the dash as two figures sat juxtaposed to each other on the front seat. One was seated at the driver’s, a hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on the gear stick. The passenger riding shot gun was looking out to the scenery whilst humming to Cold Play’s Ink.  The passenger turned to face the driver as the chorus began to play.

She eyed the raven-haired who was concentrating on the road as she hummed along to the song.

She smiled as her eyes took in every detail of the gorgeous driver’s face.

Hand reached out to cover the driver’s hand on the gearshift. Her smile widened when the driver’s hand moved to clasp hers.

Fingers played with each other as they cruised through the countryside road. Silence enveloped them but neither felt discomfort at the serenity. The entwined fingers playing with each other became the only interaction between them.
