Hello.

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything. Things have gotten so hectic for me and I even barely had the time to spend with my family. I really miss her and her penchant for recalling our silly childhood memories. I had just arrived from an overseas venture and I was quite excited, albeit tired, to get back home. I had just opened the door only to see her leaning against the threshold with those catlike eyes and that amused smirk.

That was when I had realized that she had been waiting for me. I stood outside, dazed by her sudden presence and she chuckled at my expression before she moved to pull me into a bear hug, one that had gone unchanged for decades since I had been born. God, I almost sobbed into her arms when I smelled the scent of home in her. It was so soothing and calming. I can’t explain much in words, but it really felt like I can finally rest after the long flight.
