“So what’s the deal? What did you find out?” Chanyeol questioned, taking one of the only seats in the King’s office. The once large looking room felt small with so many people congregated in it. zit made Misun feel almost claustrophobic.

To give herself more breathing room she moved off to one of the windows that stared out into the gardens. Looking out unto the beautiful scenery she wondered if there were any windows in the Court that didn’t look out into the gardens. From all the ones she’d seen she could not recall any other view. Not that this was a bad thing; she just wondered if there was anything else to see. She’d definitely have to make time to explore the grounds when she had a free moment. If that ever happened.

Misun could hear the squeak of the large chair as Zelo took a seat. She heard him shuffle a few papers for whatever reason, and she heard an awkward cough from somewhere to the right. It sounded like it came from the area she had seen Lay and Tao upon entering.

She didn’t turn around though; she was too worried about the emotions that would cross her expression upon hearing whatever news they had found. Whether it was going to be good or bad, she knew she wasn’t completely in control of herself; at least not right now. So to save herself any embarrassment or explaining, she faithfully stared at the swirling patch of tulips below.

“Apparently,” Zelo began, “the others ran into the witch that originally helped EXO get into Faye Country.”

“Celine?” Chanyeol interrupted, surprised.

The King shrugged. “That sounds about right. Anyway, Kris said that when they ran across her she mentioned having heard through the grapevine that Infinite is holed up in the troll lands. She said they’ve been reported with not only a human male, but also a female.”

“Female?” Misun snapped her head toward him. Zelo nodded, but was held back from saying more when Chanyeol again interjected, “And she just happened to willingly give out this kind of information?”

Tao scoffed, “Not without a couple fist sized diamonds Mr. big bucks Youngjae carries around with him.” “You never know when you’ll need a couple fist sized diamonds,” Daehyun defended.  “Apparently,” the dark eyed wolf mumbled.

“Who is the female?” Misun questioned, now completely invested.

Zelo leaned back in his chair so he could see everyone, including the wide-eyed blonde. “We don’t know. The others are heading to the Troll Lands as we speak. They are going to try and find Infinites hideout, if the witch’s info turns out to be true. If it is then they’ll try and find out about the possible female with the vampires; if she is friend or foe.”

Misun nodded, more to herself than anything, and leaned her back against the warm glass. Her mind was starting to tune out the chatter of the others; focusing more on her own thoughts.

They we were working so hard. All of them. The ones here, training her, and the ones away, searching. The trackers even had a lead.

She felt almost sorry to them. She felt like she wasn’t doing enough.

Yes, Misun was preparing faithfully, but she felt it wasn’t enough. She wasn’t fast enough. She wasn’t strong enough. She wasn’t learning quickly enough.

She wasn’t good enough, and she knew that. She also knew that she wasn’t going to become complacent with herself. She would try harder, much harder. She would push herself to her breaking point if she had to. She would do whatever it would take to make it easier on the others, and keep her faith in them so that when they found her father she would be ready. They would mostly likely only have one shot at saving him, and she wouldn’t fail. She couldn’t.

“Misun? Misun?”

The female blinked and zoned back into the present to find everyone in the room staring at her. She hurriedly pushed herself away from the window and stood extra straight. “Y-yes?”

Tao, who somehow managed to stand before her without her noticing, raised an eyebrow. “Are you ready for your lesson?”

She blinked again. “Is it that time already? We’re done here?”

“We are,” Zelo piped in, already standing from his seat, “You two go ahead and train. I have a meeting with Yongguk and the rest of the battalion heads. Daehyun will be taking the others on a short tour of the capitol.”

“Wait, you mean it’ll just be me and Tao today?”

The one in question gave his famous scoff drawing her attention. “Is that a problem?” His piercing eyes made her immediately shake her head.

“O-of course not.”

“Ready?” Tao asked. He twirled a large wooden stick back and forth between his hands; his sharp eyes never leaving Misun’s. The girl herself, raised both of her hands in an open palm way; her right foot sliding farther back then her left, and her knees bent just slightly.

“Ready,” she confirmed. The male’s eyes narrowed even more. “Strike,” he yelled before flying forward.

He twirled the stick behind his back then spun his body around and threw his arm out. The stick, aimed for Misun’s head barely missed as she leaned back and stepped away. Tao turned, prepared for a second swing, but the girl was faster. She ducked low and with quick movements got into his striking zone. She threw her open palm up and knocked him under the jaw. He gasped and stumbled back, and she quickly moved away before he could gather his baring’s.

“Gooth,” he lisped rubbing his jaw, “You mathe me bith my tongue.”

Misun didn’t acknowledge his words; instead taking advantage of his momentary distractedness she glided behind him and spun a harsh kick at his back. Again, the wolf stumbled. This time falling roughly on his knees.
