"Would you like to have lunch with me later?"

Tiffany looked up from her laptop, and placed down her the papers she was reviewing. With an skeptical eyes and an eyebrow raised, Tiffany pointed her sharpened pencil at Taeyeon threateningly. "What are you up to Kim?"

Taeyeon stood up from her seat in the corner of the room and walked over to stand in front of Tiffany's desk. With a small smile and hands in her pockets, Taeyeon merely answered, 

"I just wanted to have lunch with you. It'll be my good deed of the day."

"Oh. So I'm a charity case?" was the offended respond Taeyeon received from the obviously irritated Tiffany.

"No. That's not what I meant." came the calm reasoning.Taeyeon was still smiling, making Tiffany skeptical.

"Oh." Tiffany crossed her arms and leaned back on her chair. " You're smiling too. Very suspicious. I don't trust you Kim."

Taeyeon shrugged. "Don't trust me. I didn't expect you to trust me. But I'm merely asking for a friendly lunch together. Will you please go with me?"

Tiffany just kept staring at Taeyeon and vice-versa. After a minute, Tiffany finally broke the staring contest, putting her focus back on her work. "I'll think about it." She felt a bit warm inside. Taeyeon still has that effect on her.

"Great! Let's meet at 12:30pm in Addy's Steakwest."

"Why there? You don't even like American food."

" Siwon recommended I take you there on his behalf."

"So you're asking because of Siwon?" Tiffany was a bit disappointed to hear that statement from Taeyeon. A part of her really hoped Taeyeon asked because she wanted to, not because of someone else. "That's why you asked me to have lunch with you."

"Yeah. You got me. Siwon told me to take you on his behalf because he's been busy searching for Amber and dealing with cases that he hasn't been able to be there for you."

"Whatever Kim." Tiffany's tone was anything but happy. It was a tone of anger and annoyance. "If that's all then leave."

"Siwon seems like a great guy."

No response.

"And I think both of you make a good couple."

"Really now?" Tiffany stopped typing and closed her laptop with hard, that Taeyeon even thought she may have broken it.

"Yah Tiffany. Be careful!"

"You really think so huh?"

Taeyeon nodded her head and walked over to look out the office window that overlooked Seoul. "You will be better off with anyone that isn't me." She whispered to herself sadly. It was a painful truth for Kim Taeyeon.

"What did you say?"

Taeyeon turned back around to look at Tiffany. "Siwon wanted you to meet one of his friend later as well. I don't know who she is, but apparently, the friend can help you with your hospital."

"What are you- Never mind. This conversation is done. I'll see you later Kim. But I'm only going because you begged me. Don't get any funny ideas Kim." was the sharp answer Taeyeon received in contrast to the latter's happy response.

"Okay. Understood."

"So then it will be just the two of us? Or will Siwon be having lunch with us via Facetime?"

Taeyeon chuckled at that comment but upon seeing Tiffany's stoic expression, her laughter slowly died down. "You're serious?"

"Am I laughing?"

"Uh. No. Sorry. But uh no, that won't be happening. Don't worry." Taeyeon stiffened and straightened herself, not wanting to make Tiffany even angrier than she already is. 

"Good. Now can you leave me alone? WE both have work to do."

Taeyeon nodded her head and returned to her seat. Her phone then vibrated and a message showed on her notifications. With a sigh, Taeyeon quickly responded, 

To: Vegetable

It's done.

To: Kim Taeyeon

Wonderful! Thank you so much!!!

 

"It's for the best." Taeyeon thought to herself and put her phone away. "It'll be okay."

Jessica was undoubtedly concerned about Krystal's behavior and actions. It's been 2 days since Krystal's breakdown about Amber but the younger Jung acts like everything was okay. As if, her drunk confession about Amber never happened. 

"Unnie. You ok?" Krystal waved her hand back and forth in front of Jessica's face when she noticed the older Jung was literally staring holes into her existence. 

"What? Of course I am."

"Why are you staring at me so intently?" Krystal stood straight up again and continued to clean up the papers from the meeting that had just finished. Her workload seemed non-stop.

"Krystal. Are you really okay with Amber disappearance?"

"Yeah. why wouldn't I be?" 

"Two nights ago you-"

Krystal slammed the papers onto the table and glared at her sister. "DROP IT WILL YOU?!!! I SAID I AM FINE!!!" 

Jessica was just concerned. Why was Krystal being so ungrateful?!

"Yah! I'm just worried. You have been a workaholic ever since that day and you come home so late from work. You barely eat. You're like an...an..." Jessica was struggling to find the right words to not anger her sister even more or cause further misunderstanding.

"What?!"

"Empty shell." a voice interrupted from the doorway. It was Sooyoung. "Your sister is right Krystal. You can talk about it. It'll help you."

"Shut up Sooyoung-unnie. I don't need your input." was the rude answer. 

"Yah! Jung Soojung! Why are you talking to her like that?!" Jessica defended, only irking Krystal even more. 

"Why do you care?! It's not like you love or even care about Sooyoung-unnie anymore so don't yell at me!!!" 

Jessica closed her eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm down. But she quickly opened her eyes when she felt a soft clutch on her arm. Turnign to her right, she saw Sooyoung smiling at her and shaking her head. 

"It's okay." Sooyoung soothed Jessica, before turnign her attention to Krystal again. "It's just the 3 of us in this room. No one will be on this floor for the next few hours so tell us why you are shutting out your family and friends."

"You're not family or friend to me!"

Jessica was going to reprimand her sister again but Sooyoung quickly moved to stand in front of Jessica.

"You're right. I'm not. And neither are my sisters. So why were you so adamant of seeing her 2 nights ago and now you act like she's a monster?"

"..."

"I'm Amber's sister. Just as you are to Jessica. So I will defend her as much as I will if you speak of her in vain unfairly. But I won't take sides since I don't know what happened between you and Amber before she disappeared. And the other night, you mentioned that you had to give your answer to Amber. I am sure that is why are angry."

"F**k off!" Krystal tried to walk past her but Sooyoung was faster. With a grab of Krystals shoulders and small push, Krystal had no chance of escaping. 

"I will. But I don't want you hurting yourself and punishing yourself further. If Amber was here, I would have beaten some sense into her for leaving without a goodbye to you, but unfortunately, she isn't." Jessica heard a small crack in Sooyoung's voice when she mentioned Amber's absence. "However, I also know that she must have done so for a reason."

Sooyoung then turned to look at Jessica. "Talk to her. I'll be leaving now."

Jessica was still stunned of what had transpired between Sooyoung and Krystal that she merely nodded her head obediently. Krystal wasn't the only one affected by Amber's disappearance. It wasn't until Jessica heard the door close taht she was knocked back into reality. 

"Talk. I'm your sister and I love you. You can tell me anything and I won't judge you." Jessica walked over and hugged Krystal, who was now trembling.

"Unnie!!!" Krystal broke down crying in Jessica's arms while the latter gently rubbed her litler sisters' back and mumbled soothing words. "Unnie...Unnie,I- and Amber she-but then I-" 

 More crying ensued and Jessica knew it will take longer until Krystal is able to tell her anything without the sniffing and tears. But Jessica will wait and be there for her. That's what sisters do for each other. That's what family do for each other.

"Tiffany-shi!! Please don't-" 

Jiyeon's pleads were ignored and the woman can only look at the scene before her with a horrified expression when she witnesses Tiffany slap Taeyeon in front of everybody in the restaurant. 

Tiffany slapped Taeyeon's other cheek when the latter recuperated from the first slap. Tiffany was furious...no....she was beyond furious. She can't even describe the feelings she was feeling at that moment. It was more than anger...more than annoyance...more than shock. The Hwang heiress was breathing hard due to all the overwhelming emotions she was feeling. 

Taeyeon, on the other hand, merely chuckled as she raised her head high again to look at Tiffany. "Quite dramatic. Don't you think?"

"You have no right Kim! No right at all to do this!" 

Jiyeon ran to stand between the fuming Tiffany and silent Taeyeon. "Please. Don't act like this right here. Let's go somewhere else."

"No!" Tiffany glared at Jiyeon then Taeyeon. "I'm not a piece of meat you pass around Kim. First Siwon and now Ms. Park."

Jiyeon widened her eyes, quickly glanced at Taeyeon behind her and tried to calm Tiffany down. "Please Tiffany, I-"

"What did you call me?!"

"Sorry. I meant, Ms. Hwang. Listen. It is my fault. She didn't-"

"Stop Jiyeon-ah."

"Jiyeon-ah?" Tiffany can't believe it. She scoffed at how informal Taeyeon was talking to Jiyeon. "Wow. Both of you must be so close for such informality. What did she give you Kim for you to be on such close terms with Dr. Park?"

"She's a friend. I was merely doing her a favor."

"By tricking me into having a date with her? I don't even like her!" Tiffany looked right at Jiyeon as she uttered those words. " You must have lied about Siwon's involvement too. This was all your trickery huh Kim?!"

"Tiffany-"

"Shut up Kim!"

"Dr. Park will be a great addition to your partnership. Give her a chance. She-"

"Ms. Hwang." Jiyeon interrupted because it looked like Tiffany was going to kill Taeyeon at that moment. "Please let me explain first. It's true that I wanted to go on a date with you because I'm interested. I just wanted to know you better but I know you don't like me due to our rough start. So that's why Taeyeon helped."

"Don't be stubborn Tiffany. Just do this and I won't bother you ever again. I promise." Taeyeon calmly reasoned but Tiffany can care less.

"That's exactly what I want! And I'm leaving." Grabbing her purse, Tiffany sent another glare to Taeyeon, "I don't want to see your face ever again Kim." Tiffany angrily said to Taeyeon. But Taeyeon didn't say anything, letting Tiffany walk away.

Tiffany has had enough. She can't tolerate anymore of this pain and disappointment that she felt in her heart. Feelings that she didn't want to feel at all anymore when it comes to Kim Taeyeon.  

Staring at Tiffany's retreating figure until all of Tiffany disappeared from view, Taeyeon calmly grabbed her stuff, walked over to the cashier and paid. Jiyeon was flabbergasted by Taeyeon's behavior. It was as if nothing happened. 

"Let's go. I'll wait for you out here." Taeyeon instructed as soon as Jiyeon picked up the call she received from Taeyeon. Even when she entered Taeyeon's car, she was debating with herself if she should say something. 

Jiyeon took a glance at Taeyeon's side face as the mysterious woman drove. Upon first glance, Jiyeon thought Taeyeon was a normal, despite initial thoughts thats Taeyeon was a bit dark, as in gothic. Taeyeon didn't even spare Jiyeon a glance when they first met, let alone even a handshake. Taeyeon was odd but Jiyeon didn't get any bad vibes from her.  But when she got to know Taeyeon a bit more with their coincidental meetings, Jiyeon  came to see another side of Taeyeon. It was then that she also became acquainted with Sooyoung and Amber that she found out Taeyeon does not like anyone touching her unless she allows it.  She can be mysterious, and harsh with her blunt words and actions, but overall, Taeyeon is a good person. Taeyeon willingly helped Jiyeon and wanted nothing in return. Even this 'surprise date' with Tiffany happened because of Jiyeon. 

Jiyeon sighed and felt guilty. From what happened tonight, she knew that Tiffany and Taeyeon were more than just co-workers.

"Taeyeon, I-"

"No need to apologize." 

Jiyeon widened her eyes and shook her head at the finality of such statement. "It's my fault. Why didn't  you tell me that you and Tiffany-shi were-"

"Nothing." was the cold response from Taeyeon. "We are nothing."

"I may be stupid, but I'm not stupid when it comes to love. And I know that you love Tiff-"

"If you know, then keep it to yourself." Taeyeon intervened but this time in a firm, gentle tone. Taeyeon then released a sigh, one that she has kept in for a long time now. "I went through with this because I wanted to and you are not to blame. So please, just don't talk about her anymore."

Jiyeon respected Taeyeon's wish although she still had more to say. But it seems that Tiffany is a sensitive subject and for as long as Jiyeon has known Taeyeon, the latter has never pled with her with anything.

*That same night*

Entering the passcode for the house, Sooyoung entered the house with a warm smile to Hana and the rest of the family. Of course, there was still tension due to what had happened in the last days with Amber's absence but SooTae made sure to be on their good side.

"Where is your sister?"

"I'm not sure. I haven't seen her since this afternoon." Sooyoung honestly answered to Mr. Hwang. But being suspicious, he didn't believe her. 

"Is your sister planning on abandoning her responsibilities too? Remember, if not for Heechul, both of you would have been kicked out."

"I'm aware of that."

When Tiffany came down the stairs, her mother asked her the same question. "Sweetie. Where is Taeyeon?" Mrs. Hwang was concerned about Taeyeon. She still doesn't approve of Taeyeon but the latter has definitely kept her promise about keeping Tiffany safe from harm. And Mrs. Hwang has noticed TaeSooBer's care and consideration toward everyone they know and care about.

"I don't know. I don't care." was the short, grave response. Mrs. Hwang wanted to ask a follow-up but then Mr. Jung's sudden presence next to her prevented her from doing so. 

"Why are you so happy?"

"My wife and I with Tyler Kwon's parents today. It seems like they really favor the idea of having Jessica as their daughter-in-law." He was so happy that she didn't notice Sooyoung walking away. But Mrs. Jung did. Just like Mrs. Hwang, Mrs. Jung has come to see Sooyoung in a different light. All the bad things that TaeSooBer claimed to have done to their daughters doesn't match with their subtle, most dedicated efforts to keep their daughters safe.

"Now dear, it was just a friendly lunch. Don't put too much hopes up. Jessica might not even agree to such union if it ever comes across." Mrs. Jung added with a gently smile. 

"Uncle. Jessica doesn't like Tyler." Tiffany joined in the conversation with a light chuckle. "Besides, Tyler seems to only care about money and business."

"Exactly. Good for Jessica's future." 

"And yours too. Just date Nick and your life will be settled." Mr. Hwang added with a happy smile. "He's is perfect for you Tiffany."

"I'm going to take a break from dating for now." Tiffany has no interest in Nick. He thinks more with his hormones then mind. She has more important things to worry about. "Don't bother with me."

"Why? Because of Kim Taeyeon?"

"No dad. Not because of that horrible person."

"Better not be."

Tiffany didn't respond and checked the time on her phone. It was already past 11pm and Taeyeon still hasn't returned. Tiffany hasn't seen or heard from Taeyeon since the fiasco in the afternoon. She didn't have a good feeling but the thoughts of Taeyeon spending the day with Jiyeon made Tiffany push those negative thoughts away.

"If she wants to be with Jiyeon then so be it. I don't care." Tiffany mumbled to herself and slammed her phone down by her side. 

"Honey. What's wrong?" Mrs. Hwang asked, noticing the angry action. Tiffany shook her head. "Just a bit stressed about work. That's all."

"Aigoo. My poor baby." Mrs. Hwang pulled Tiffany in for a hug. "It's okay. Everything will be okay." Mrs. Hwang then leaned closer to whisper in Tiffany's ear, "Taeyeon will be back soon."

Tiffany's eyes widened while her mom just winked her eyes at her daughter. "I'm your mother. I know what you want even when you're not talking."

"What are all of you talking about?" Krystal intervened, as she walked down the stairs with Jessica and toward her family wiht a bright smile. 

"Marriage and life. Anyhow, you look much better." Tiffany happily said. "Everything okay with you?"

Krystal nodded her head. "Yes. Jessica and Sooyoung unnie helped me out. I just had alot in my mind."

"Sooyoung? What did she do?"

"Dad. She just made me realize that I always have someone that is there by my side to help me. I just needed to see that for myself."

"Where's Giant?"

"Sooyoung? I saw her going into the kitchen." Hana answered. Jessica nodded and sat next to Tiffany. She gestured to the rest of the family with her right hand. "Did you tell them yet Krystal?"

"Tell us what?" All the elders said in unison and looked at Krystal expectantly. 

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for being so awful the last few days." Krystal stood up and bowed. Mrs.Jung and Mr. Jung stood up to hug their daughter with a bright smile. They were glad that Krystal's condition has improved. 

"It's okay. I forgive you even though I don't know why you are apologizing." Hana proudly says and hugs Krystal. Krystal and everyone else laughed at this and Sooyoung, who stayed in the kitchen, only smiled to herself. She was happy that everything was okay wiht them now. She felt like stranger and she didn't want to interrupt the family time, let alone listen to Jessica's marriage plans to Tyler Shi*Kwon.

Suddenly, Sooyoung received a call from Hyoyeon. 

"Hyoyeon. Where are you?" Sooyoung took the call outside so that she is alone. "Did you find Amber?"

"Sooyoung!!! You---now----Am---run---"

Sooyoung walked further out to get better phone connection. "Hyoyeon?! I cant understand you! What did you say?!"

"Don't go ---bomb---house!!! Amber is with-----need help!!!!" Hyoyeon's broken voice screamed and Sooyoung knew it was n

"What?!! Who needs help?!!!" Sooyoung was now standing right in front of the pool house. "Repeat what you said."

"Sooyoung!!!-"

The next words took all the energy and breath that Hyoyeon could muster to warn Sooyoung:

"THERE'S A BOMB IN THE POOL HOUSE!!! GET AWAY FROM THERE!!!"

*Few minutes before Sooyoung's phone call*

Tiffany's smile quickly transformed into a frown when she saw on who had called her on her phone screen. Tiffany ignored the call for the first time but Taeyeon called her again. 

"Answer it." Krystal was suddenly standing next to her. But Tiffany quickly ended the call without even answering for the second time.

"Why should I? She ignored me all day to be with that doctor quack." was the grim response.

"Okay. You're jealous. I understand." Krystal acknowledged with a thoughtful expression.

"I AM NOT!"

 "Ok. Let's say I believe you. But! It might be an emergency."

"Psh! As if." Tiffany rolled her eyes but then she remembered just how late it was. "You...think so?" 

Just then, Taeyeon called again. 

Krystal shrugged her shoulders again. "You will only know if you answer."

With a sigh and curiosity (and unexpressed concern), Tiffany finally answers the call. Krystal squeezed herself to hear the conversation, since Tiffany was too busy calming herself down. Before speaking, Tiffany prepared herself. She will not forgive or show even the slightest interest in what Taeyeon has to say.

"What do you want KIM?" Tiffany demanded agitatedly.

No response.

"Hello?"

Nothing.

Tiffany was annoyed now. "YAH!!" her yell got everyone's attention. Krystal even had to back off because the yell caused her to flinch back in pain and rub her ear. 

"Dang, I hope I don't lose my hearing." Krystal glared at Tiffany as she rubbed her innocent ears.

"Tiffany? Who is it?" Mr. Hwang asked, upon see the distraught in his daughter's face. 

"If you don't speak, I'm going to hang up Kim!" 

Just then, Tiffany heard a laughter from the other line. And it was not Taeyeon's laugh.

"Such a short temper for an heiress. Tsk-tsk." the unfamiliar voice stated from the other end.

"Who is this?! Why do you have Kim's phone?!!"

"Me? Kim? Who's Kim? I only know a Kim Taeyeon." it was a woman's voice. A very familiar voice to Tiffany. "You don't remember me?"

"Who is this?" Tiffany asked, looking at Jessica and Krystal with confusion. Jessica pointed to her phone and mouthed "Put on speaker!"

So Tiffany did just that. Now the phone call was on speaker. 

"You really don't remember me Tiffany Hwang Miyoung? I'm insulted. So is my Taeyeonie."

It can't be...

"SUNNY?!!!" 

"Smart girl." Sunny complimented with a chuckle. "I'm sure that you now have our conversation on speaker."

"What did you do to Taeyeon?"

"Oh her? Don't worry.  She's fine...for now." 

That doesn't sound good at all. "What have you done to her? Taeyeon!!!!!" Tiffany screamed, hoping to Taeyeon will answer. 

"Ouch you idiot heiress." Sunny grimaced at the yell and put the phone back against her ear. "Anyhow, Taeyeon should be the least of your concern."

"What-"

"Have a bomb-tastic night!!" Sunny evilly laughed and hung up. Tiffany was shaking a bit now and stared at everyone else in the room one by one. What is going on? 

Everyone wasn't sure what to think or do. 

But...if that was Sunny then....oh no...

"SOOYOUNG!!!!" Jessica called out for the taller girl and frantically ran toward the kitchen. Jessica came just in time to see an empty kitchen and then...

***BOOM!!!!!!!***

The pool house had exploded. And Sooyoung was nowhere in sight. 

Despite opposition from her parents, Jessica broke free from their hold and ran straight out to the ruins. She had to find Sooyoung. Sooyoung had to be okay...

"Ugh!!" Sooyoung pulled herself out from the pool and laid herself on the cement ground. Turning her head, she could see the pool house on fire and smoke. She was able to escape, unharmed for the most part, due to Amber's warning. Using the large wooden plank that was next to her side, Sooyoung pulled herself up. But she still struggled to stand up due to the aftershock of the explosion. She was too close.

"!!" Sooyoung exclaimed once she got her balance back. How the hell did this happened? They had been careful. Yoona must have planned this with her sisters. No wonder the connection was so horrible! 

"Is everyone alright?! Was anyone hurt?!!" Sooyoung heard Mr. Hwang yell from the opposite side. She then saw some of them near the destroyed pool house. There was so much smoke. What were they trying to do?

Sooyoung coughed as she weakly tried to walk over to the frantic family. 

"Jessica!! You can't go in there!!" Sooyoung heard Krystal's scream. Jessica? Where is going? Sooyoung put an arm against her forehead and used the other to clear some smoke so she can see better. 

"Let me go!! I have to find her!!!" Now that was Jessica' voice. Oh no! Did Jessica's mother get stuck in there? But Sooyoung was the only one out when the bomb exploded. 

"SOOYOUNG!!! SOOYOUNG!!!!" 

"Me?" Sooyoung thought to herself. Was Jessica, looking for her?

Now standing a few feet from the family, Mrs.Jung was the first to see Sooyoung. "Sooyoung? Yeobo! Isn't that Sooyoung?!!" She patted her husband so he can see where she was pointing to.

"Sooyoung!!" Tiffany confirmed it instead. "Jessica! Sooyoung is alive! Look over there!!!" Tiffany turned Jessica so the latter can see Sooyoung and belive it for herself. 

Jessica was still crying and swinging her arms about when Tiffany turned her in Sooyoung direction. Jessica stopped when she saw Sooyoung. Is it real?

"SOOYOUNG!!!" 

"Stay there!!!" Sooyoung ordered, preventing Jessica from making any more movements. A big rubble of debris was blocking them from being togehter since it was right in the middle.  "All of you, get away from there. Go back to the house. I'll meet all of you there."

"But-"

"Go Jessica!" Sooyoung ordered. Krystal and Tiffany pulled a reluctant Jessica away but successfully got the older Jung to follow them back to the house. As they made their way back, men in black suits ran into the backyard to do a search of any more potential dangers. It was Hyoyeon's men. Among them were Jonghyun, Siwon and Heechul. 

"Are you guys alright?"

"Yes." Mr. Hwang spoke on behalf of them. "But how did this happen? We have very tight security and this shouldn't have happened."

"I don't know too. From our supervision, everything seemed fine."

"Obviously not! We could have all died and-!"

"But you didn't." Sooyoung interrupted from the side. Sooyoung ignored Jessica and pushed her to the side slightly, disappointing the latter. "They were able to sneak in at one point and set the bomb."

"Is everyone alright?"

Everyone nodded to Sooyoung's question except for Jessica, who had a bigger concern. "Blood! Your head!" Jessica went to  Sooyoung and carefully examined Sooyoung's head to find the injury. Sooyoung grimaced when Jessica touched the side of her head. 

"Some rubble fell into the pool and came into contact with my head. It's nothing."

"But-"

"Sooyoung. Taeyeon-"

"What about Taeyeon?"

"Taeyeon is in danger. Before this, Sunny called me using Taeyeon's phone. It's not good."

"Fu*k!!!" Sooyoung angrily exclaimed. "Siwon. Were you able to track her?"

"No. We lost contact with her since the afternoon."

"What?!"

"That's not good. Tiffany. Do you know where Taeyeon was headed to after you saw her this afternoon?"

"I don't know. She might be with Jiyeon."

"No. The last contact we got with her was around 1:30pm. She had just dropped off Jiyeon home."

Tiffany felt like she just got er-punched. Taeyeon was gone for that long and she didnt even bother with it. Tiffany felt horrible.

"Today was her day."

"What are you talking about?! Day to go on vacation?!!" Mr. Hwang angrily retorted and pulled Sooyoung by her collar. "Another cowardly sister of yours huh?"

Sooyoung pulled his hands off her, took a few steps back and glared at him. "Watch what you say Mr. Hwang." She warned. "Taeyeon and Amber did nothing cowardly. Their time simply ran out."

"What do you mean?" Krystal stepped up and stared right into Sooyoung's eyes with fear. "Why would they run out of time?"

Sooyoung finally explained the meaning of her words. "We made a deal with them. In return for staying away from you and your family, they can have what they want except we get to choose when."

"And what is that?"

Sooyoung turned to look at Tiffany. "Amber's last day was 4 days ago." Krystal's breath hitched in shock. "Hyuna's condition was-" Sooyoung didn't want to say it but one look at Krystal's forlorn expression and she did. "-her condition was for Amber to have a death match."

"You-youre fu*king kidding me right?" Krystal released a weak chuckle at hearing that. "Death match? Why the hell would she want that? Tell me!!"

But Sooyoung couldn't answer because at that moment, there were some strange people that suddenly entered the premise and began to fight with their allies. 

"This isn't good! All of you must leave now!"

"Why?!" Krystal was refusing to leave. She has to know.

"Because only I can have her." A figure emerged from behind Krystal.

"Hyuna." Krystal turned around to look at the vicious woman she hates with all her soul. But Hyuna looked in very bad shape. Her lips were bleeding and she had multiple cuts on her body as proven by her torn attire. Her abdomen was bandaged. Not just that, but she literally had blood running down her arms as she walked forth, barely able to keep balance. 

"I see that Amber definitely did her part in making you suffer despite your dirty ways."

"Ah...but look at who is the one standing in the end-Me." Hyuna proudly proclaimed. "Your sister should have killed me when she had the chance."

"Liar!" Sooyoung took steps forward. "You would have died if she didn't spare you. Hyoyeon told me of what you did."

Hyuna released a crazy laughter. "Hyoyeon stayed away and just observed instead of helping. And in the last minute, she still couldn't save Amber. I was well aware of Hyoyeon presence and made sure she had her own fun. Now my lovely Amber is probably somewhere in the deep waters, rotting away. But no worries. I will follow her as soon as I kill that brat and her whole family."

"Go ahead and try." Jonghyun challenged, with Heechul and Siwon standing right next to him. 

"I'm touched that all of you want my attention but unfortunately, you will have to wait until later. My focus in on baby Jung there."

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU! WHERE IS AMBER?!!!"

"She is stupid indeed. I gave her the days she wanted and yet-" Hyuna turned to look at Krystal with disgust. "-you were still the last person she thought of as she took her last breath.  So what did I do? I shot her...right here." Hyuna pointed to her heart with her gun with a satisfied grin.

Krystal was beyond angry now. She tired to launch herself at Hyuna among her tears. "I'm going to kill you!!!" 

"I'm so scared!" Hyuna pretended to shake in fear and then laughed. "But I should be the least of your concerns. None of you must know but-" Hyuna pointed at a figure next to Sooyoung. "- her time is up too. Right now."

Sooyoung saw the tiny red dot on Mrs. Jung's chest and quickly pushed Mrs. Jung to the ground. 

"SOOYOUNG!!!!" 

Sooyoung had already fallen to the ground with a fresh, bullet wound on her upper shoulder. Jessica tried to go to Sooyoung but was blocked by another shot to the ground right next to her. Sooyoung was in pain and Jessica couldn't even do anything unless she risk the lives of her family.

But then someone fired shot toward Yoona. 

"Yoona you b*tch!!" It was Taecyeon who had arrived with back-up. He quickly scanned for Yoona's location once he saw Sooyoung get shot. Yoona smirked and fired a few shots back before quickly maneuvering herself down through the house. 

"Jessica. Grab Sooyoung. We need to leave now." Heechul instructed. Jessica helped Sooyoung stand up and tried her best to focus on getting the latter to safety. 

"Sooyoung. You better stay with me."

Sooyoung chuckled weakly. "You called me by my name. I'm-I'm in trouble huh?"

"You bet you are! You hid all of these from me."

Just then, a few shots fired around the group. Yoona was coming to claim her prize and she was not going to leave empty handed.

"Where do you think you are taking my Sooyoungie?" Yoona taunted, pointing a gun right at Jessica. "She's mine. Her time, is up!"

Jessica looked at Sooyoung, who's focus was on Yoona. " That's right. It is."

"Sooyoung!" 

Sooyoung forced a smile at Jessica and seperated herself from the heiress. "Today is my last day. That bomb was my warning."

"No." Jessica tried to reach for Sooyoung but failed to because of Hyuna. 

"If anyone tries to intervene, I will shoot. And I'm a damn good shooter." Hyuna threatened as she aimed right at Siwon.

"And if anyone one of you hurt anymore people-" Sooyoung quickly disarmed Hyuna and kicked the latter toward Yoona. Hyuna was too hurt from her wounds to properly defend herself. "-I will shoot myself." Sooyoung aimed the gun right at her heart. 

Yoona, who had immediatley took Jessica as hostage when Sooyoung attacked Hyuna, stared at Sooyoung challengingly. "You lie."

"Try me. You know I don't lie in these matters. And you know better than I do, that I kill myself, all your efforts up to this point, will be a waste of time. You want me, then you let Jessica go."  

Yoona smirked and then slapped Jessica. Sooyoung was just threatening her.

Sooyoung's eyes darkened as she pulled the trigger. Nothing happened but Yoona was definitely caught by surprise that Sooyoung really pulled the trigger on herself. Sooyoung took advantage of Yoona's loss of focus and quickly used her pocket knife to pierce Yoona's arm that was holding Jessica. 

"Fu*K!!!!" Yoona laughed as Jessica ran toward Sooyoung, who quickly pulled her into her arms. Sooyoung was so happy Jessica was safe. "You got me Choi! You did a good job!" Yoona eyes then darkened. "Fine. I will let Jessica go because you are far more valuable to me alive. But no more games. It's time we settled this!" Yoona yelled as she walked toward Sooyoung, ready to kill.

Sooyoung pushed Jessica to Tiffany and quickly met Yoona halfway. As soon as those two came close enought to eachother, they began to fight each other with passion. 

"LEAVE NOW!!!!" Sooyoung ordered as she dodged Yoona's attacks. 

Taecyeon pulled a stubborn Jessica away. But it was hard to escape wiht all these enemies attacking them from every side. And Hana was in danger at all times. 

Hana got seperated from her mom when one of the bad guy pulled Mrs. Hwang and proceeded to shoot her. 

"Mommy!!!!" 

"Mom!!!" Tiffany tried to go help but was held back by some of the enemies. Same for everyone else.

The enemy laughed and was about to pull the trigger. Mrs. Hwang closed her eyes but nothing happened. When she opened her eyes, the bad guy before her had fallen down, dead. Behind him, was none other than-

"TAEYEON!!" 

Taeyeon was heaving and had cuts and blood on her arms and legs but she managed to help Mrs.Hwang stand up. "Are you alright?"

Mrs Hwang nodded her head and hugged Hana tightly when the little girl ran to her. "Mommy!"

"It's alright honey. Mommy is right here."

"Taeyeon. Please help-."

Taeyeon didn't need to be told becuase she was already at Tiffany's side before Mrs.Hwang could finish her request. Kicking the man down, Taeyeon held on to Tiffany so that the heiress doesn't lose her balance.

"TAEYEON!!!" Tiffany quickly hugged Taeyeon, making the latter grimace in pain. "Oh my god. I'm sorry. Are you hurt?"

Taeyeon shook her head. "Don't worry about it. How about you?"

"You look like sh*t. Who did this to you?"

Just then, a motorcycle ram into the house through the backyard and as a result, TaeNy was seperated.

"We are not done yet Taengoo!" It was none other than Sunny who wasted no time and lauched herself right at Taeyeon. And because all of Taeyeon's weakness was there, Sunny tried to hurt whoever she can. 

Taeyeon fell flat to the ground when she blocked Mr.Hwang from being fatally stabbed by Sunny. Taeyeon's hand was bleeding profusely because she had to hold the knife between her hands and deliver a kick to Sunny's abdomen as Sunny did the same with her.

Taeyeon was panting but she wasn't going to give up. Spitting out the blood in and wrapping her hands with some cloth she ripped from her shirt, Taeyeon ran right at Sunny. 

As for Sooyoung and Yoona, Yoona had managed to deliver some more kicks to Sooyoung. Sooyoung use of her left arm was limited due to the gun shot injury.

Yoona laughed in mock misery when she managed to slice Sooyoung's left arm with a knife. Sooyoung had used it to block her attacks. "Pathetic. You're not even trying."

Sooyoung slowly stood up and wiped . She won't lose. She can't. So as Yoona launched toward her again, Sooyoung grabbed the broken blinds right next to her and used it as her weapon. She quickly disarmed Yoona of the knife and used the metal blinds to deliver some rather deep cuts to Yoona. In the end, Yoona had cuts on her face, and all over her body. 

"Ugh!" Yoona was angry at the turn of events. 

"You were saying?" Sooyoung provoked and slowly walked around Yoona, keeping her defense up. 

"It's not over Choi!!!"

Hyuna saw how Krystal was focused on defending her family from the enemies and and evil thought came to mind. With a sinister smirk, she grabbed the handgun from one of the dead police officers and aimed it right at Krystal. 

"Hm...should I just close my eyes and shoot? Or choose?" She thought to herself. 

She was about to pull the trigger but heard some weird noises. Like a car. 

It was a car! And it had just plunged right through the house walls, leaving a huge dent.

"How come I wasn't invited to the party?"

Krystal could barely make out the silhouettes of the person as the dust wasn't clear yet. Who was it now?

Hyuna backed away when she saw Hyoyeon exit the car. She will stand no chance against Hyoyeon in her condition. 

"Ah Hyuna. Just the person I wanted to see. Instead of picking fights with people who are obivously sane and not crazy like you, why don't you fight with me?" Hyoyeon challenged, cracking her knuckles. "Or better yet-" Hyoyeon opened the passenger door, '-with her."

Krystal's eyes widened. "Amber!!!"

Amber was injured but she seemed to be in a slightly better condition than Hyuna. But she was still in a critical condition due to the fact that she was loosing alot of blood...fast. 

Hyuna chuckled at the sight of Amber. "What a surprise Amber! You survived my onslaught."

Amber snickered. "You missed when you shot me." Amber held on to her blood left shoulder as she spoke. "But you must have been so delusional you thought you killed me when you pushed me into the Han River. But now that I am here, you will die in my hands today Hyuna. I gave you a chance to redeem yourself and you didn't want it. Now, reap what you sow."

"With what? You look like you're about to collapse right now. You're losing too much blood.Should have gone to a hospital instead of here." Hyuna managed to challenge, even though she knew that Amber's chance of succeeding was as good as hers.

Amber grimaced from the pain in her body as she chuckled. "I won't have to do much."

"Oh really."

Krystal was standing right in the middle of them. And she was about to go toward Amber now that her family is safe with Jonghyun. 

"Amber." Krystal called out affectionately but was harshly pulled back and held against Hyuna with a gun to her head. 

"Uh-uh." Hyuna warned when she saw Amber running toward her. Hyuna cackled and smelled Krystal's hair. "Smells so good. Dont worry Krystal. When I kill you, your death will be fast and clean.

"Let her go." Amber demanded, holding onto her bleeding abdomen. It was bleeding much more now. 

"Why? Krystal doesn't even love you.She told you that herself. And she hates you with her entire being. Why would you still want to save her life? And choose her over me!!!" Hyuna yelled the last part in anguish and hurt. "What does she have that I don't?!!"

"Sincerity." Amber quickly answered with no thoghts. "Compassion. Care. Consideration, Selflessness, Kindness, Honesty-"

"Honesty? She made a bet about you."

"That may be so. But she told me and apologized. And it will never compare to you tricking me to killing my sisters and father for my family secret!"

Krystal's eyes widened. "You did that to her?!"

Hyuna stayed focused. "That cave would have made us powerful and immortals! So what if lied to you and forged all those letters and documents to frame them? It was for us and our future!!"

"LIAR!!!" Amber yelled in anger and pain. "You lied to me! I trusted you Hyuna! I LOVED you!!!" Amber's voice lowered at the last sentence. "If I didn't find out from eavesdropping in your conversation with your sisters, I would have continued to be your puppet!! You never loved me!"

"I did!"

"No. You didn't! You loved the control you have over me and power. And I was stupid enough to let you do that. You manipulated me and I believed you despite what everyone said!" Amber took a deep breath. "But that ends today."

"..."

"Krystal knows what love is. And that is something you will never understand or know Hyuna." Amber continued. "And it doesn't matter if she doesn't love me.  I accept her decision. You know why? Because I'm a bad person too. I'm a liar and a killer. And that fact about me won't change no matter what. But that's the only thing you and I have in common Hyuna: We're killers and we lied to get to our goals."

"In the end, you're still choosing her over me?" 

"Yes. Whether this life, or next, or whatever comes after death, I will always choose her." Amber said as she look at Krystal the whole time, who in turn could not help but tear up. Krystal didn't know what to do because she was at a dead end. Amber was so somber and looked like she was going to collapse at any moment with the slightest touch. But here she was, in front of Krystal, still trying to protect her. 

"Stupid." Krystal choked on her tears. "Don't-don't try to be a hero."

"You never played fair Hyuna, from the start of our deal. Why do you think I sought you out first? Because I wanted to be with you? Wrong. I knew your evil intentions and I needed to ensure that in the end, even if don't live, you won't either. I made a promise to Krystal's family and to myself. I was not going to let another person I care about lose her family like I did. You want me right? Well b*tch. Here I am." 

"..."

Hyuna was stunned at Amber's declarations and then after a minutes, recomposed herself and smirked. She took steps back, her gun still poiting at Krystal's head from teh back. "You love her so much? Will you take a bullet for her? Will you die for her?"

"Krystal!!" Mr. Jung yelled, as he took his place next to Amber. "Let her go! Don't do this! What do you want? Money?! I will give you whatever you want, but please let my daughter live."

"Sure. If you die in her place Mr. Jung, you can save her. What about that?"

"No." Mrs. Jung held on tightly to her husband. "Please don't do this. Why are you being like this?"

"I have nothing to lose. So, who will take the fall?" Hyuna inquired as she focused her aim. "The parents? Or the shunned ex-lover?"

"Dont' do this. Please!" Mrs. Jung continued to beg. Hyuna ignored the plead.

"I'll count to three. So decide quick." But no one stepped forward, not even Amber.

"Don't listen to her! She will kill me either way!" Krystal yelled out, tears streaming from her eyes. "I'm so sorry mom and dad! And Amber, I'm sorry too!"

"Shut up Krystal. You won't die. Hyuna is a coward so she's choosing to hide behind you." Amber took a few steps forward as she spoke. 

"Oh yes she is Amber. I will kill her! And now, I will begin the countdown. Ready?"

....

"1-" 

It all happened so fast that Krystal couldn't even comprehend what happened. All she knows is that she was thrown to the side and felt no pain. 

"Krystal!! Honey!!" Her mom was holding on to her faster than she can say anything. If she didn't get shot then who-AMBER!!!

Amber was laying down a few inches away, bleeding profusely from her chest as Mr. Hwang stayed by her side to check her condition.

"Amber!" Krystal rushed over to Amber's side and held her in her arms. Amber was breathing quick and her eyes were barely opened. "Amber!! Dont' close your eyes!!" 

"It-it isn't over. Let me-let me go Krystal."

"Aw...I'm going to cry." Hyuna laughed at her own comment, walked over to Amber, and dragged her away from Krystal. Krystal quickly ran after her and pulled Amber's almost lifeless body back into her arms.

"You have a death wish?"

"I won't let you take her. She's mine." Krystal firmly declared between her tears, clutching on to Amber tightly. "I won't let you hurt her anymore."

"Is that so?" Hyuna aimed the gun at Krystal. "Then you want to join her?"

"At least I'll be with her.Unlike you."

That does it! 

Hyuna pulls the trigger and the shot is fired. Krystal waited for the pain but nothing happened. Did she die that quick? No...wait. Where's Amber? 

Amber had already fallen to the ground after gathering the last strength that she had to push Krystal to the side, quickly stood up, did a swift 360 degree turn, causing the incoming bullet to penetrate her upper back. But right when she was in position of facing Hyuna, she delivered, what would be, the final, fatal blow...

Hyuna could only gag and spit out mouthfuls of blood seconds after the knife entered . It was the knife that she had used to stab Amber with previously. Hyuna could do nothing more, as she then fell down dead on the cold floor. Her last image was of Amber falling a few feet away from her and Krystal coming to Amber's aid. Amber had managed to save Krystal for the last time.

"Go to hell...Hyuna." Was Amber's last words as she fell down after deliving that fatal blow to Hyuna. 

In the end, Hyuna still had no one. Not even Yoona or Sunny. Especially, not Amber by her side as she took her last breath.

Yoona and Sunny definitely saw what happened to Hyuna. And as a result, they marched right in that direction. But they were blocked at every step by Taeyeon and Sooyoung. 

"Krystal. Is Amber-"

"I don't know. " Krystal was panicking now. Tiffany crouched down next to Amber and felt her neck for any heartbeat. Fortunately, there was...but a very weak one. "what happened to her?"

"She got shot twice. Once on the chest, and another other on her upper back." Mr. Jung explained. "It's my fault. I wasn't fast enough."

"Its not your fault dad." Krystal looked to Tiffany in despair and petrification. "Do-do you think any of her vital organs got hurt? Will she be alright?"

"I'm not sure about that. However, she does have a weak heartbeart and the fact that she lost too much blood makes it worse. We have to get her to a hospital right now." Tiffany advised, looking at the people surrounding her and Amber.

"I can help you with that! But we are going to need reinforcements on the way there." Jonghyun explained carrying Amber in her arms. "Damn. She is so light! I thought she would be heavier. I'll be careful so don't worry."

"Okay Jonghyun. Let's go." Heechul instructed but Jessica and Tiffany refused to leave. 

"Jessica! Go!!! You have to be there with your sister and family!" Sooyoung said as she punched Yoona on her face, eyes on Yoona the entire time. "You'll be safe!!!"

"No! I'm not going to leave without you!!"

"Leave now!!!" Sooyoung yelled as she got pulled back by Yoona, who had used a chain to choke Sooyoung. Fortunately, Sooyoung freed herself and began to defend herself again. Yoona was momentarily distracted from Sooyoung when of the police officers fought with her. Making use of this, Sooyoung jogged over to Jessica and held her by the cheeks. 

"Listen Sica." Jessica teared up when she heard Sooyoung's endearment for her, causing her to shake her head to show express her unwillingness to heed Sooyoung's instructions. "Sica! You have to go! I made a promise to your family. Especially your dad that I will keep you safe. I'm going to protect you until my last breath. And right now, your family needs you. So go!" Sooyoung then gave Jessica a firm push toward Taecyeon.

"No! I want to stay with you Sooyoung. I don't want to go."

Sooyoung quickly wiped her tears before uttering the next words with a broken heart, "You dont' need me remember? You hate me so don't you forget that! Hate me! You understand!!! I'm a horrible person and have done nothing but hurt you. You will forget me. What I'm doing now means nothing!! Now leave!!!!"  Sooyoung ordered before using the chains to wrap around Yoona's leg to pull her back. Yoona was trying to attack Jessica and the others but Sooyoung was preventing every attempt.

"Let's go Jessica! Now!!" Taecyeon just carried Jessica away despite the latter's protest. He had to do his part and fulfill his promise to SooTaeBer.

Meanwhile....

"Tiffany! You have to go!" 

"Taeyeon! You need my help! And i'm not leaving here without you!!"

Taeyeon managed to dodge a hit and roundhouse kick Sunny's face, giving her a bit of time. Taeyeon quickly held Tiffany by her shoulders and looked into her eyes, "I need you to go with them. Please help Amber. I need you make sure that she is fine. Do it for Krystal too. Please go!!!"

"But-"

"Fany-ah." Taeyeon lovingly and gently called Tiffany by her nickname, after dodging another one of Sunny's attacks directed toward Tiffany. "Listen. I don't have much time. And Amber, won't either if you're not with her to help her. Please, help my sister."

"How can I just leave you? You're hurt because of me and-"

"Remember you hate me okay? I'm a horrible, filthy woman. And I hate you. You're annoying, bratty, whiny, impulsive, stupid and stubborn. You're everything that I hate. It has always been that way. Understand?!!"

"You're lying to me!!" Tiffany cried harder. "You're just lying to me again. Why do you keep lying when I know that you love-"

"Shut up!!! I won't break my vow to your parents. I will protect you and I intend to do just that. Don't misunderstand. Now leave!!!!!!" Taeyeon saw Sunny charging toward them from her peripheral and quickly pushed a crying Tiffany into Siwon. "Take care of her Siwon." 

Siwon nodded his head and pulled Tiffany away.

Sunny held Tayeon's right arm behind her back and shoved her to the ground. Taeyeon coughed out a bit of blood and spared one last look at Tiffany. Tiffany was still being stubborn to leave with Siwon.

"GO!!!" Taeyeon yelled with all her might as she was blocking a horde of attacks from Sunny. Siwon ushered Tiffany once again and pulled her harder this time, to which Tiffany finally relented. Tiffany only relented, because she saw a glimpse of Taeyeon's glistening eyes as the latter pushed Tiffany away.

And just as Sunny was about to chase after Tiffany, Taeyeon quickly pulled Sunny into a chokehold and threw her to the side.

Taeyeon wiped the blood tears that was blocking her eyesight with her sleeves. "It's not over until one of us is dead. So until then," Taeyeon maneuvered herself to the defensive again, "I will keep my promise."

"They will be fine. They're stronger than they look." Donghae spoke as soon as everyone arrived in the van. "I got here as soon as I could. Yoona and her sisters had this attack meticulously planned. I nearly made it here in one piece."

"Happy that you are safe. Please hurry." Krystal requested as she stayed by Amber's side in the trunk. Tiffany right beside Amber as well to monitor her condition. Jonghyun, Taecyeon, Siwon adn Heechul took seats on the edge to defend, in case they're attacked.

Donghae started the engine and prepared to go. But before he did, he warned everyone of the journey. "Be aware that this ride will not be smooth. No doubt, Yoona and her sisters have planned to kill us at every point. Hyoyeon and her people will help us but we must do our part. Tiffany, there's a few medical supplies back there with you. Utilize those until we get to hospital. And all of you, listen to whatever I say. Understood?!!"

Everyone nodded in acknowledgement. Even Jessica and Tiffany had to stay focused on themselves and their family. As Tiffany took out the medical supplies, she saw that there were 2 bags of blood in a cooler and a few IV needles and tubes in a sanitary bag. All new and ready to use. Tiffany expertly put all the items together and Amber was soon on the blood IV.

"Oppa, these blood-"

"Ah. Those are from Sooyoung and Taeyeon. They had it drawn when Amber disappeared." Donghae explained as he reversed to exit. "They prepared for the worse and hoped for the best if Amber was ever found. That was why they asked Hyoyeon to track Amber down. Amber has the same tracking monitor on the bracelet she always wears."

Everyone was shocked.

"So Hyoyeon-"

"Those girls." Jessica stopped when she heard her mom's voice. "This is just like that time when our daughters were in the hospital honey. Remember?" Mrs. Jung inquired sadly and with admiration when she spoke to her husband. 

"What are you talking about?" Tiffany was curious, and so was Krystal now.

Mr.Jung sighed and shook his head. "It-it's nothing."

"You can do better than that Uncle." Heechul lectured before doing the deed of telling JeTiKrys. "Listen, when the three of you were shot and hospitalized, Taeyeon, Sooyoung and Amber, without hesitation, willingly donated their blood to save your lives."

"Wh-what?" Krystal whispered to herself with a quiver in her voice as she looked down at Amber. She has never felt so horrible and ashamed of herself. And she wasn't the only one who would be feeling like that.

"You lied to us?!" Jessica was angry now. "All of you told us they abandoned us and didn't care !!!"

"We did it with the best interests."

Tiffany scoffed at her dad's reply and felt so mad with her family, aside from Hana. She couldn't believe it, neither could Jessica nor Krystal. "They saved our lives and we don't deserve to know that?!!!"

"Fu*k!!! I don't want to interrupt but hold on everyone! Here we go!!!" Donghae accelerated the gas to break through the middle of two enemy cars that was parked in front. Enemies out, ready to shoot at will. Donghae was merciless and ran those people over as well as crashed right through the two cars. 

"That was only a sneak peek of what is in store for us!"

Just then, an explosion was heard. Everyone turned their attention to the back and sure enough, they see smoke. The mansion had just exploded. Everyone momentarily forgot about the tension that had transpired awhile ago.

"Don't worry. Sooyoung and Taeyeon will be fine." Donghae assured, hoping that he was right. But even those words can't help relieve the fear within Jessica and Tiffany's heart. More than ever, they just want TaeSoo to come back to them alive.
