Warning #2

You Make Me A Good Man

(A week later)

It was Junhyung’s brother and mother’s death anniversary, meaning that Junhyung and Hyunseung were heading over to the cemetery. Since they had work in the afternoon, they would have breakfast outside – Hyunseung wanted escargot in the middle of the night for some unknown reason – before they went to Paradise to get flowers. Junhyung was really questioning Hyunseung’s craving for escargot, of all Western dishes. He highly doubted that Hyunseung even ate escargot before.

Groaning slightly, Junhyung stretched and cracked an eyelid open only to see that Hyunseung was already out of bed. He silently thanked the heavens that his pregnant boyfriend wasn’t straddling him yet again, because that’s how he’d woken up the past week. He never thought that he would be so exhausted from making love but Hyunseung had very clearly proven him wrong.

He turned to look at the clock, seeing that it was seven in the morning. “Seungie?” Junhyung called, sitting up and looking around the dark room. He noticed that the bathroom lights were on, so he figured that Hyunseung was either washing up or showering.

While waiting, Junhyung decided to read one of the pregnancy books. He was on his sixteenth now, if he remembered correctly. Blame the fact that Junhyung was a fast reader and that he didn’t have to read the parts regarding the first to twelfth weeks.

It took Hyunseung another ten minutes to exit the bathroom, freshly showered and… . It wasn’t that Junhyung minded, but it gave him a slightly bad feeling. He didn’t think he could go another round, after the five rounds they’d had the night before. Nonetheless, Junhyung just had to smile at his boyfriend because he could see the baby bump, completely exposed.

Hyunseung rolled his eyes when he saw Junhyung smiling like an idiot, and walked over to plop down on the bed, grabbing a fresh set of clothes on the way. “You can stop staring now, Junnie. This body is yours to see anytime you want,” Hyunseung pointed out. Junhyung snapped out of his trance, flinching just a little at the elder’s words. It was just another reminder that he would be leaving in less than five weeks.

“I’ll shower and be out in ten, and then we can go get you those escargots you wanted,” Junhyung promised, taking his clothes and towel and walking into the bathroom. Hyunseung grinned, nodding in agreement to that idea. His stomach growled just at the mention of escargots. Call him weird, but he’s actually always liked escargot, despite only having eaten it twice or thrice.

As promised, Junhyung stepped out of the bathroom in nine minutes, and he grabbed his car keys before heading down with Hyunseung. They were planning to eat at Chef’s Kiss, since it was a Western restaurant after all.

Hyunseung slid into the passenger seat of their newly bought seven-seater car, leaning back into the comfortable seat. He really liked this car a lot because of the leg space the backseat passengers would have. He knew that he’d made a right choice choosing this car, out of the three that he and Junhyung had been debating over.

At breakfast, Hyunseung and Junhyung talked to Kevin again, discussing what his pregnancy had been like. Just like before, baby Jaejin was in Kevin’s arms, sleeping peacefully. Hyunseung also managed to get Junhyung to eat half of his escargots, in exchange eating half of Junhyung’s garlic bread and wild mushroom soup.

The only thing of Junhyung’s that Hyunseung didn’t touch was his glass of water, because Hyunseung had orange juice and who would prefer water over orange juice? Kevin didn’t stay with them for too long, having to go back and man the cashier. It was the only way he could work and take care of Jaejin at the same time, really.

The couple ate for around forty-five minutes before leaving to go to Paradise and the cemetery.

-----------------------

“Hyunseung! Can I call you hyung?” Sungjong asked right as Hyunseung and Junhyung entered the shop. Hyunseung raised a brow questioningly, but still nodded anyway. Junhyung watched the two and noticed that Sungjong was probably trying to get closer to Hyunseung. The younger male had already wanted to be close to Hyunseung since a while ago, and now he had every reason to.

“Sungjong, my flowers?” Junhyung asked when he saw that Sungjong was gushing to Hyunseung about the present Myungsoo had given him for their anniversary. Sungjong looked at Junhyung and Hyunseung kicked his boyfriend’s shin, eliciting a pained exclamation from Junhyung. “Hey!”

“We’re talking, Junnie. Don’t be rude,” Hyunseung chided. Junhyung gaped openly at his boyfriend, wondering where the attitude came from. Sungjong laughed, but told Hyunseung to wait for a moment while he went to the back. Sungyeol emerged with him not long after, and the elder went around preparing Junhyung’s bouquet while Hyunseung and Sungjong continued talking.

When Sungyeol handed Junhyung the bouquet and Junhyung paid, Hyunseung and Sungjong were still going on about the beautiful couple earrings that Myungsoo had gotten. While Junhyung was glad that Sungjong got along perfectly fine with Hyunseung, he didn’t have that much time to wait for the two to finish talking. They still had work in a few hours.

Sungyeol nudged Junhyung slightly. “What’s gotten you so grumpy?”

“I’m not grumpy; I just think that we need to leave soon,” Junhyung replied.

“Then why don’t you just tell him?”

Junhyung shot Sungyeol a look. “He’s so happy talking to Sungjong though. I’d feel bad.”

Sungyeol laughed and shook his head. “You’re such a er for him,” he teased, earning a scowl from Junhyung. Then, suddenly, Sungyeol stopped laughing and looked at Junhyung sombrely. “You’re still going to do it, aren’t you?”

Junhyung nodded with a sigh. “I might as well let him enjoy life while I’m still here. I’m good just seeing him happy. It isn’t like I can see him for much longer, can I?”

“Too bad that’s the best plan,” he answered. “Sungjong, Junhyung needs to go already! Stop talking and get your to the back!”

He was met with a flying black rose thrown by none other than Hyunseung. “We’re talking!”

Sungjong shook his head and looked at Junhyung. “I think you should go. Don’t you have work later, hyung?” he asked. As if just remembering that they had things to do, Hyunseung smacked his forehead and hurried over to Junhyung.

“We’ll be going now then! See you guys… next time?”

Sungjong and Sungyeol nodded, waving to the couple as they left. Then, turning to Sungjong, Sungyeol said, “I think I won’t be able to handle him. It’s all up to you guys.”

In the car, Hyunseung apologised to Junhyung for taking so long. Junhyung waved it off, starting the car and driving to the cemetery. For some reason, Hyunseung looked pretty excited. Junhyung didn’t really know why his boyfriend was so in love with visiting his brother and mother, like really. It was kind of weird, in a somewhat good way though.

Halfway through the drive, which was a pretty short one actually, Hyunseung clasped his hand over his mouth and hurriedly hit Junhyung on the arm. “What?” Junhyung asked, stopping the car when he looked over at Hyunseung. Almost immediately, the door was flung open and Hyunseung threw up on the road.

After a while, Hyunseung grabbed some tissues and wiped his mouth. “I feel horrible.”

“Do you think you’ll throw up again?” Junhyung asked. Hyunseung thought about it and nodded, grimacing at the disgusting taste of vomit that lingered in his mouth. Junhyung fumbled around for a plastic bag, handing it over to Hyunseung. He decided that if his boyfriend were to throw up just once more, they were heading to the hospital immediately.

“You can just start the car, Junnie. I’ll tell you if I feel sick again,” Hyunseung said, attempting to smile reassuringly at Junhyung and failing miserably. Junhyung sighed and nodded, telling Hyunseung to close his door so that he could continue driving.

Not even ten minutes later, Hyunseung was throwing up into the bag and Junhyung made a detour to the nearest hospital he knew of.

----------------------

Junhyung toyed with his phone, having just called Heechul and telling him that Hyunseung was sick. The stand-in manager wasn’t too pleased with having to find two people to take Hyunseung and Junhyung’s shifts, but he told Junhyung to take care of Hyunseung before hanging up. Heechul was still good at heart, despite his strange temperament.

Hearing footsteps approach him, Junhyung looked up and immediately glared at the man. “What the hell do you want?” he demanded, standing up and looking around. He hadn’t seen Jaehyuk since he’d warned him, nearly a month ago. Jaehyuk smiled innocently at his son.

“Why do you greet me that way all the time?”

“Because you damn well deserve it. Let’s talk outside,” Junhyung ordered, not wanting anyone to witness him talking to Jaehyuk. The man nodded and followed Junhyung to the car park. When they were in a corner, Junhyung turned to his father and crossed his arms. “Were you the one who knocked into my car three weeks ago?”

“Oh no, that was someone else. Jaewon sent him, too. He told me to remind you that you have less than five weeks to leave. I’m assuming you received his other reminder?” Jaehyuk asked with a smirk, glancing towards the hospital. Junhyung frowned in confusion before realisation dawned on him.

“That bastard poisoned my boyfriend?” he questioned incredulously. “I never said that I wouldn’t leave him! Like you said, I have five weeks! Why on earth would he feel a need to remind me?”

Jaehyuk shrugged. “No idea. I’m just a messenger, really. He might give you more reminders, I don’t really know. That’s all I came for. Bye then,” he said, walking away with a wave of his hand. As Jaehyuk left, Junhyung glowered at his back and clenched his fists tightly. This was really getting out of hand.

Wait, he poisoned the orange juice didn’t he? !

Junhyung couldn’t believe that he’d been so dumb, but how did Jaewon even expect them not to share their drinks? He probably wouldn’t mind poisoning me too, Junhyung added as an afterthought. He pulled his phone out while walking back into the hospital, dialling someone’s number.

“Yeoboseyo?”

“Hara, do you know what your brother’s been up to recently?”

“No…? Why?”

Junhyung debated over whether or not to tell Hara the truth. She trusted Jaewon inexplicably and Junhyung, no matter how much he hated Jaewon, didn’t want to ruin that. He’d already caused Hara enough hurt; he wasn’t going to hurt her further by telling her the truth.

“Can you tell him to meet me? I have something to talk to him about.”

“I don’t know… I don’t think he’d want to see you.”

“Can you give me his number then?” Junhyung tried.

“Has he been bothering you?” she questioned.

“No, no. BoA just wants to speak to him and since I indirectly know him, she told me to get his number,” he lied. He didn’t like lying, that was for sure, but what could he do? Tell her that her stepbrother threatened him to leave Hyunseung? Jaewon was the only family Hara had – her stepparents had passed away in a car accident.

“Oh ok then. I’ll text you later. How’s Hyunseung oppa doing?”

“He got food poisoning all of a sudden, so we aren’t working today. Oh, the doctor’s out. I’ll see you next time, Hara,” he said. Hara told him to take care before she hung up, and Junhyung heard the small sigh she heaved. Shaking his thoughts off, Junhyung walked over to the doctor and listened to his diagnosis of what happened to Hyunseung; it was indeed food poisoning.

“Luckily you got him here early, or he could’ve dehydrated and miscarried as a result,” the doctor told him, smiling approvingly. Junhyung thanked the man profusely, asking if he could go in to see Hyunseung yet. When told that he could, he immediately headed to the room that Hyunseung had been admitted to, just for the night.

Taking a seat beside the bed and holding the elder’s hand, Junhyung placed a kiss on Hyunseung’s temple. He didn’t want to wake his boyfriend up. His brother and mother’s death anniversary visit would have to be postponed, then. Hyunseung was his priority right now.

Junhyung felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he fished it out, instantly sending a text to the number Hara had just sent him.

‘We need to talk asap.’

Pressing send, Junhyung rested his head near Hyunseung’s belly and drifted off to sleep.

I think I didn't focus enough on Jun's feelings here but... this chapter was rushed. And it's still late. I only started on it yesterday ._. I was busy with work TT No time to type but it's my fault for being such a lazyass. I could've gotten it up last night :/

Ok, anyone find that it's really hard to think of chapter titles? I seriously have no idea how to name my chapters anymore D:

Well, anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and it's pretty likely that the next update will (again) be late. Who knows?

Please look forward to the next chapter, upvote/comment/subscribe! Annyeong~! ^^
