I'm Emotionally Unstable and I Thank Super Junior For It

Almost didn't post this 'cause I was so pissed. -__-

Uki’s POV~

“Until then, I’m cold, I’m wet, I’m tired, and I’m pissed off, so I will be drying off in the bathroom if any of you need me,” I said, spinning on my heel and heading back down the hallway toward the bathroom.

I stopped in my tracks, though, when I suddenly saw Alex’s obviously pissed off form marching her way toward me, soaking wet as if someone had just took an entire bucket of water and completely drenched her. Her hands were balled into shaking fists at her sides while her brows were connected into a beyond angry scowl. The way she was grinding her teeth proved to make her set jaw prominent in an irate fashion, her blazing emerald eyes simply emphasizing the fact.

“A-Alex?” I stammered uncertainly.

You,” she spat, pointing to someone behind me. I turned to see her pointing at the guys, which one in particular, I wasn’t sure. “YOU GUYS LEFT ME ALONE OUT THERE IN THE RAIN TO CARRY IN ALL OF YOUR CRAP!”

“Heh, heh, sorry?” all the guys answered as a collective whole.

My face fell when I heard this and I turned to face them, no emotion whatsoever on my face. “You guys… Are the stupidest idiots I’ve ever met! Grahh!”

I continued marching down the hallway, grabbing Alex by the wrist and dragging her along with me so she wouldn’t be able to kill any of the guys while I wasn’t there. Despite all her protesting, I managed to pull her into the bathroom and shut and lock the door. She stomped her foot, frowning intensely, as she exclaimed, “Uki, let me go out there and kill them! Look at me! I got stuck carrying in all their crap as if I were some disgusting pack mule!”

“Alex, now isn’t the time for any of that. Remain more focused on Daesung at the moment, and then, after all this is over, I give you full permission to kill every single one of those idiots. Well… Maybe except for Donghae, for obvious reasons, but yeah, everybody else you can kill.”

She gave me a flat stare before saying, “You’d rather save my brother over your own brother?”

“Um, as much as I love Siwon and all, he’s not the one I kiss goodnight every night,” I responded, making my way over to the mirror to find a pale, gaunt girl staring back at me. Goddamn it, I hate how my cheeks become so pale when it’s cold outside.

“Eww, Uki!” Alex protested, whining like a child.

I laughed at how adorable she looked, puffing her cheeks out at me and pouting to an extreme, and simply winked slyly at her, saying, “You’re the one who brought it up. Aish, I’m freezing!”

“You can have Donghae’s clothes. He was the only smart one who packed extra clothing with him ‘cause of the rain, but he pissed me off, so I’m giving them all to you,” she said, and before I could protest about the fact that I don’t want Donghae to get sick from his wet clothing, she was already out the door.

I sighed as I went back to staring at my pale reflection. Hard to believe that this girl was able to scare anybody out there. I mean seriously? I looked like some fragile little girl that could probably be blown away by the wind at any given moment. Turning the faucet on, I waited for the water to turn warm, and the moment the temperature changed, I splashed some on my face in hopes of warming up my dead cheeks. Just as I shut the water off and grabbed a paper towel from the paper towel dispenser, the bathroom door opened again and Alex came walking back in with two bags in hand. Without saying a word, she reached into the bag and tossed me a pair of black Adidas soccer pants and a simple gray T-shirt. I smiled, catching them and realizing that they smelled like Donghae as I made my way into the stall to quickly change. I blinked for a moment when I finished changing and busted out laughing to myself, probably sounding like a crazy person to Alex.

“Uki…?” I heard Alex’s voice trail off in an uncertain question. “You okay in there…?”

“Y-yeah,” I managed in between in my peals of laughter. Unlocking the stall door, I came out and said, “I’m practically drowning in Donghae’s clothes!”

Upon seeing the sight of me literally drowning in Donghae’s clothing, Alex also busted out laughing, leaning against the wall for support while an arm held her probably aching stomach. My peals of laughter started up again and soon, we were both laughing like uncontrollable psychopaths. I’m pretty sure that anybody walking in the hallway is probably wondering what the we were doing in here, but I couldn’t help it! I mean, you can’t even imagine how absolutely ridiculous I look right now! Donghae’s shirts were always like dresses on me to begin with, but if I ever stole pajama bottoms from him, it was always basketball shorts, nothing else. And ya’ know, there was quite the difference in length when it came to my legs and his legs, meaning that probably a good five inches of the pants were still available. Oh man, I seriously looked ridiculous right now and despite the heaviness of the current situation awaiting me in the reality outside that bathroom door, I couldn’t help but to laugh. It was just so funny!

After a few more minutes of nonstop and slightly ridiculous laughter, Alex and I finally calmed down enough to point of there only being a stray giggle here and there. Refusing to sit on the disgusting bathroom floor, I took a comfortable seat on the diaper changing station, surprised for a moment that it didn’t break from all my weight exerted on it. Alex was sitting on the floor, back against the wall, while she stared at her hands in silence. Suddenly, she asked, “Why are we laughing? Daesung has the possibility of going to jail, and we’re sitting here laughing as if world peace had just been proclaimed.”

I sighed and pulled my knees up to my chest, resting my chin on my drawn-up knees after wrapping my arms around them. I stiffened slightly when I felt the baby station shift under my weight, but relaxed when everything settled again. “I don’t know. I’m just… I’m tryna cope with the fact that… I might lose this.”

“Uki, you seriously can’t believe that. I mean, c’mon! This is your area of expertise! This is what you’ve been studying all your life to become!” Alex said, straightening up and staring at me with shock plainly written all over her face.

“I know, I know. But I’m scared. What if I do lose this, Alex? What happens then? Daesung is probably gonna go to jail, Big Bang is gonna be terminated, their reputation will forever be tarnished, and it’s gonna be all my fault. I don’t what that to happen, Alex…”

“Uki, you’re crazy. Seriously, you are. You are not going to lose this. I already know you’re not.”

I sighed again and straightened my legs out so they were hanging over the edge of my makeshift seat. Leaning back against the part of the station that was mounted to the wall, I shut my eyes and said, “As brave as I may have sounded out there… I’m still nervous. I mean, compared to that guy… I’m still a rookie. He’s probably been doing this for over twenty, thirty years now, and me? I haven’t even handled my first real case yet! Everything is just so…Ugh right now!”

“Uki, no matter what happens out there, you’re not to blame for any of this. Daesung made a mistake, and you’re only here to try and guide him through it. No one’s expecting you to pull any miracles.”

A slight smile curved my lips as I looked up at her, my slight smile morphing into a full one. “Funny. That’s the same exact thing Jiyong said to me on our way here.”

A knock on the bathroom door interrupted whatever Alex was about to say, and soon after the knock, I heard Siwon’s voice say, “Um, girls? The parents and the taxi driver are here, and they’re looking pretty irritated at being pulled from bed at this late at night, so, um, I suggest you get out here quick.”

Alex and I exchanged a quick nod before I jumped down from my perched position on the diaper changing station and turned to fold the seat shut. After Alex had gathered all our clothes and such back into the bags, we made our way over to the door and opened it to find Siwon standing there. He cocked a brow at my clothing choice, causing me to giggle again. Realizing that I was stepping all over Donghae’s pants and probably ruining them, I bent down and hastily rolled the pants up so they were sitting right at my ankles. Making my way back over to the office I was at before with Alex and Siwon closely following behind me, I found all the guys squeezing in against the wall for a seat. Aigoo. I’ve always wondered why groups had to travel in packs all the time. It seriously confused me. I mean, they’re not, like, glued at the hip or anything, right?

“Hey! You stole my clothes!” I heard Donghae exclaim. He came up to me, pouting at me and rapidly blinking his puppy dog eyes.

I laughed slightly and said, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did you want them back? I can go change into my own if you want…”

He sighed and shook his head at me. “Ani. You wear them. I don’t want you catching a cold or anything.”

I smiled brightly at him as I threw my arms around his neck and said, “You know, I haven’t had a chance to tell you this lately, but I love you, Donghae. Like… A lot.”

His smile was still perfectly capable of making my heart do somersaults and stomach to twist into complicated knots, despite the amount of time we’ve been together now. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer, saying, “I’ve missed hearing you say that, Uki.”

The moment his lips landed on mine, I heard shouts and protests coming from the boys behind us, shouting things like “Ew! Get a room!” or “Awwwwwwww dang, get it, hyung!” or “No! There will be no ‘getting a room’ or ‘getting it’ while I’m standing here!” I bet you, you could figure out who that last one was, eh? ;D

I broke the kiss and looked behind him to see all the boys covering their eyes like children while still shouting protests at us, causing me to laugh and lay my head on Donghae’s chest in embarrassment. I felt the vibrations of Donghae’s laugh run through my body as his arms tightened around me. Leaning down so he was right beside my ear, he whispered, “You and I will have our time later on. For right now, though, focus on Daesung, ara? Go in there and win. He needs you more than I do at the moment.”

I pulled back to stare up into his smiling face, which caused me to give him a dazzling smile of my own. Leaning up for another kiss, I murmured against his lips, “I really love you, Donghae.”

“I know,” he murmured in response.

“My eyes! My poor innocent eyes!” I heard one of the boys exclaim, causing me to finally break away from Donghae and laugh at them.

“Alright, alright, we’ll stop! Sheesh, you guys are such children!” I said with a laugh.

“Why don’t you try sitting here witnessing a hardcore make out session between one of your hyungs and a girl you consider your little sister?!” I heard GD exclaim, causing me roll my eyes at him.

“Or witnessing a hardcore make out session between one of your hyungs and your actual little sister?!” Siwon threw in, pouting slightly at me.

“Aigoo! It was, like, three simple kisses! That is not some ‘hardcore make out session’,” I retorted.

Donghae wrapped an arm around my stomach, pulling me back so I wasn’t looking at any of them and said, “Ignore them. Remember what I told you. Daesung needs you most right now, so focus only on him. I have no doubt in my mind that you can do this, Uki.”

“Well, that makes one of us,” I murmured quietly, dropping my gaze to the floor.

He gently lifted my chin and forced me to look at him as he leaned his face closer to mine so our noses were touching and said, “Listen to me, Uki.  You. Can. Do. This. If you couldn’t, Hyun Seok-sshi wouldn’t have asked you to come down here. If you couldn’t, that lawyer wouldn’t be terrified of you right now. If you couldn’t, Daesung wouldn’t trust his future in your hands. Every single person in this hallway has faith in you, but you need faith in yourself, ara? The people are coming down the hallway right now. Show them what happens when they mess with Uki Seohae Choi.”

I couldn’t help but smile at this, and, after leaning in for another chaste peck on the lips, I finally turned around and sure enough, there was that idiot lawyer—although that term could be used very loosely—and three other people I’m assuming to be the parents and the taxi driver following him. When they were finally standing in front of me, the lawyer stepped forward and said, “I’d like you to meet—”

“Annyeonghaseyo, Uki Seohae Choi imnida,” I interrupted him.

I know it was probably rude of me, but I couldn’t help it.

His voice irritated me.

The “lawyer” whose name I didn’t bother ever learning sighed in a slow, angry manner, before saying, “If you’ll please, I’d like to get out of here before the sun rises.”

“Like I said, it’s your fault for starting with me,” I replied coldly, shooting him an equally cold look. Turning my attention back to the three people standing uncertainly behind him, I said in a much kinder voice, “If you’d please follow me, I’ll try to make this as quick and painless as possible.”

“You’re defending him, aren’t you?” the woman asked quietly, gaze directed to the floor.

“Defending whom?” I asked, although I already had a pretty good idea of whom she was speaking of.

“The person that killed my son,” she spat in a disgusted tone, and I could already feel the Big Bang boys tensing behind me.

I sighed and said, “Ma’am, that’s not any assumption you can be making without any concrete evidence or proof presented to either myself or your…lawyer, and I’d greatly appreciate it if you didn’t speak so rashly about Daesung without having all the facts gathered beforehand.”

“What facts do I need? He was diving drunk and killed my son! My only son!” the woman exclaimed, snapping her gaze to look at me with angry tears welled in her eyes. One of the men, the one I’m assuming to be her husband, placed his hands at her shoulders in an attempt to mollify her, but she simply continued screaming at me. “And now you’re sitting here defending that monster?! What does that make you?! Are you a monster just like him?!”

Don’t,” I hissed between my teeth, taking a step forward so I was right in her face, “talk. About. Daesung. That. Way.” She faltered for a moment, which was definitely more than enough time for me to make up my mind: I hated this woman.

“You speak to me as though—”

“Ma’am, the longer you speak out here in this hallway, the longer you are keeping everyone waiting here, and quite frankly, I turn into an even bigger when I lose my sleep, so unless you plan on having me completely hate you, I suggest you get into that room and sit yourself down so we can begin this meeting. And I suggest you keep your mouth shut for the rest of the night, because truth be told, you’re pissing me off and have already made yourself an enemy out of me, which I assure you is not a good thing this late at night. Now. Are we going to continue this meeting in a civilized manner, or are you going to make me turn into a y lawyer, because I assure you, I don’t have a problem doing either.”

If it weren’t for the fact that I was so utterly pissed off at this idiotic woman who thought she was so high and mighty, I probably would have laughed at the slightly comical expression of her jaw nearly on the floor and her eyes almost bugging out of her sockets. The lawyer sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, as he said, “I told you she was quite a…handful. And you didn’t believe me ‘cause you thought teenagers were oh-so ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’.”

“This is no teenager. This is Lucifer’s reincarnation!” the woman exclaimed.

I smiled brightly at this, mocking flattery, as I gushed, “Aww, thank you! You’re too kind! Now seriously. Get in the room. I wanna go home and get to sleep.”

The woman ground her teeth and marched past me, muttering under her breath about ungrateful little children and how mothers these days weren’t doing their jobs correctly in raising their kids. Hearing her insult my mother—although it wasn’t a direct insult, my mother was also a mother raising children, was she not?—I almost decked her right then and there, but upon seeing his, Donghae quickly entwined his hand with mine, giving it a reassuring squeeze. Sighing heavily, I squeezed his hand back and made my way toward the glass door.

“Uki,” a voice said suddenly. I turned to search for whoever had spoken and realized instantly that it was Alex wearing quite the fitting smirk. “You’re not scared anymore?”

I looked around at all the different faces staring at me and scoffed, rolling my eyes at her. “ being scared. This lady pissed me off and I’m gonna rip this case to shreds.”

So, I actually had this chapter finished since yesterday, but I never had a chance to reread or edit anything since I was just SO busy. But now it's up, after a whole lotta arguing with myself.

Yes, I argued with myself about whether or not I should have updated this thing. 'Cause quite frankly? I was pretty ing pissed off today.

However, I won't go into detail about it on here 'cause then I'll just be going through this whoooooooole long spiel again. If you wanna read about what happened, click here~

Mind you, the language is just a bit rough(x

Any who. I promise you that the verdict of Daesung's future--well, his future in this story. ;D--shall be revealed in the next chapter(x

And oh my gosh, I've missed writing Uhae scenes! I almost forgot how cute they are together! ^-^
