Leeteuk’s POV~

I like how they totally didn’t realize that I had gotten up and left the moment Uki announced that she had forgiven Donghae. Why in the world would she forgive that piece of scum who had hurt her twice now? Was he the one who had saved her from jumping off that damned bridge?! Was he the one who had comforted her when she kept sobbing over and over again that her heart was literally ripping into pieces?! Was he the one who had held her when she was younger and scared away all the “monsters” that were lurking in the dark?! Does none of that matter?! I’d been here for that girl since the very beginning through everything and she still chooses that slimy fish over me!

An angry grunt escaped my lips, as the image of her kissing Donghae on the cheek kept replaying over and over in my mind like some broken filmstrip that kept plaguing my poisoned thoughts. I felt as though I were seriously on the verge of breaking down into frustrated tears. I’d been trying so hard to win Uki over and I seriously thought I was gonna have a real chance since Donghae effed up twice, and here she is, breaking my heart all over again! She’s like a plague that I can’t and don’t wanna get rid of. Not even realizing what was happening until the lamp left my hands, I watched as the mock-gold lamp flew right into the wall opposite me, leaving quite the nice gaping hole. I stared numbly at it, deciding that that pretty much wrapped up the image of my heart in a nutshell.

There was a slight knock on my door, followed by a timid, “Teukie? Is everything alright in there?”

I bit my lip, falling back onto my bed.

Oh great, not her again.

I think I’ll seriously die if I have to see her face again, sitting there, taunting and teasing me, constantly reminding me of what I can’t have.

“Go away,” I spat, instantly feeling guilt nipping at my insides.

It’s not her fault.

It’s not her fault that I’ve fallen completely and totally in love with her.

She can’t help that.

“…I’m sorry, Teukie.” There was a slight pause and a quiet, “About everything,” before I heard her soft footsteps decrescendo as she walked farther and farther away from my room.

I sighed, shutting my eyes and covering them with the heels of my palms. I hate this. The fact that she had sucha hold over me. She was a little girl! I’m freaking 27 years old for goodness’ sake, almost about to turn 28, and I’m infatuated with a girl that’s barely 19?! Is that even legal?!

“UGH!”

I swiftly sat up, chewing on my lower lip as I fell into deep thought. Maybe that was all. Maybe it was just some silly little infatuation. I mean she is Uki after all. I’ve yet to meet one guy who hasn’t had a crush on her at least once. Even guys from other entertainment companies have liked her at one point in their life! Maybe…Maybe my “crush” for her was just lasting a little longer than everyone else’s was. I groaned. It didn’t matter how many times I repeated that thought in my head, it didn’t make the churning and restless feeling I felt in the pit of my stomach go away. I stood, walking toward my door and was instantly greeted with the happy sounds of everyone still teasing Alex and Kyuhyun the moment I threw it open. I made my way back down the hall, toward the kitchen, and nearly tripped at the sight of Uki sitting in Donghae’s lap, his arms wrapped tightly around her tummy with his chin resting casually on her shoulder as if it had any right to be there.

I felt myself unconsciously grinding my teeth, my fists clenching and unclenching, as she kept that smile on her face the entire time, laughing every now and then when Kyuhyun would drop hints about his and Alex’s upcoming date.

“C’mon, Kyuuuuu. Just tell me a teensy little hint?” Alex asked with a pretty impressive pout.

“Aish, fine,” Kyuhyun responded, an evil smirk playing on his lips. “It involves water.”

“Water?! Wtff is that supposed to mean?!” Alex exclaimed, stamping her foot impatiently when all he did was chuckle in response.

“Whew! I thought you were actually gonna tell her everything!” Uki suddenly exclaimed, laughing slightly when Alex’s eyes bugged.

“YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS?!” Alex practically screamed at her.

“Mhm,” Uki responded with a smug smirk. “C’mon now, I’m Uki. I came up with the idea!”

“YAH! TELL ME THIS INSTANT BEFORE I STRANGLE YOU, UKI SEOHAE CHOI!”

“Don’t threaten me,” Uki said with a smirk, “I hold the power of where this little shindig takes place.”

Alex turned to Kyuhyun, who shrugged, nodding as if to validate her words as truth as he said, “She’s right, ya’ know. She’s kinda in control of the place. However, the things that happen during the date are solely up to me.”

“NOTHING BETTER BE HAPPENING AT ALL OR ELSE THERE WILL BE ONE LESS CHO IN THE WORLD, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!” Donghae immediately exclaimed.

Uki laughed, turning and giving him a look. “Aish, let them be, will you? Besides. Now you know exactly how Siwon feels.”

“Yeah, doesn’t feel too good, does it now?” Siwon asked with a smug look.

Donghae grumbled under his breath. Uki laughed, kissing the tip of his nose as he said, “You’re cute when you get protective, do you know that?”

He gave her a lopsided grin, looking as though he were on the same level of a toddler. “Glad you think so!”

“Aish, enough of this! I WANT TO KNOW WHERE THIS FREAKING DATE IS TAKING PLACE!” Alex interjected.

Kyuhyun laughed, kissing her forehead as he said, “Relax. You’ll find it in due time. I just gotta work out some kinks first and we’ll be well on our way.”

“Speaking of well on our way, I think it’s time we all be well on our way to bed. A lot has happened tonight and I have a feeling Jessica’s gonna snitch to Soo Man,” Siwon said, for once being the reasonable thinker of the group in my absence.

“Eh. Let her. That wants to start a war, I say bring it ‘cause I’ll blow her clear outta this solar system,” Uki responded with a nonchalant shrug and an indifferent expression on her face.

Goodness, how can one little girl freaking drive me this insane?!

 “Uki, I think we still have some stuff to talk over?” Donghae asked hesitantly, giving her that puppy dog glance of his.

…

She smiled gently and nodded, standing up and reaching a hand out for him as well. “I think I agree wholeheartedly, Aiden Lee. Siwon, you’re gonna spend the night here, right?”

“Do you want me to?” Siwon asked with a slight laugh.

She nodded, a smile on her face. “It would make me feel a lot better knowing that you’re safe here.”

“Arasso. I suppose I’ll be taking your old room?”

“If you wanna sleep on the couch! I’m sleeping in there!” she responded with a laugh.

Donghae pouted at her, causing her to scoff and roll her eyes. “Aish, this guy. I just forgave you and you expect me to immediately sleep in the same room with you again?! Bapo.”

He sighed and nodded. “Fair enough. Now c’mon. I wanna have that talk before I go to sleep~”

“Arasso, I’ll—”

“Wait,” I interrupted, grabbing her arm and turning her to face me before she could walk outta the kitchen with Donghae.

Her brows raised in surprise as she said, “Yes?”

“Come out drinking with me tonight,” I found myself saying.

WTFF WAS I SAYING?! WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE?!

“Whaa?” Uki asked, laughing slightly, sounding as if she were unsure of this being a joke or not. Hell, I didn’t even know if I was being serious or not!

“I said come out drinking with me,” I repeated, feeling as if I were about to melt under the intense gazes coming from both Donghae and Siwon.

“Teukie, are you feeling okay?” she asked, chuckling to herself as she placed the back of her hand on my forehead. “Holy crap, you’re burning up!”

Yeah, you’re touching me! Of course I’m burning up! =.=

“Uh, it was hot in my room earlier. I need some fresh air, so come out with me, pleeeeeeeeease?” I begged, pouting at her.

She rolled her eyes. “Aish. What’re you, five? And I promised myself—and Siwon—that I wouldn’t drink for the rest of my stay here. I’m sorry, but I don’t feel like getting totally and completely wasted tonight. I need some sleep is all.”

“But—”

“Hyung, she said she’s tired,” Donghae cut in all of a sudden, now pulling on Uki’s arm with a possessive look in his eyes.

Uki, being the oblivious little girl, said, “Maybe tomorrow night, arasso? Just you and me. It’s been awhile since we’ve had Teukie-Uki bonding time.”

I smiled, feeling slightly victorious over Donghae, as I nodded and said, “Arasso. Tomorrow then. Oh, and Kyuhyun? I suggest you run before Donghae kills you.”

Donghae turned and his eyes widened at the sight of Kyuhyun and Alex’s hardcore make-out session with the cabinets “hiding them” from view. Heechul and Eunhyuk immediately began wolf-whistling, whooping and hollering as Donghae tore after Kyuhyun who was now running away with Alex laughing uncontrollably.

“How’d you even see us?!” Alex exclaimed at me, still laughing at the sight of Donghae now strangling Kyuhyun on the living room floor.

“I’m Leader Leeteuk! I know all!” I responded with a light smile on my face.

Everyone began laughing again, as Uki and Alex both ran to the living room to clear out the fight. I turned them all out, leaning against the doorframe, crossing my arms loosely over my chest. I felt so…Victorious right now. As if I could do anything, no matter how crazy the feat.

I couldn’t wait ‘till tomorrow night.

I let her slip outta my fingers once, but I won’t let that happen again~

Ugh. Homework's been PILING up lately and I've been going INSANE trying to find time to write.

Oh, and next week is finals week, which means that I'll probably be REEEEEEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYYYYY slow in updating, so no rushing, arasso?!(:
