Eunhyuk to the Rescue?~

I'm Emotionally Unstable and I Thank Super Junior For It

Aish. Weak chapter, I know. Mianhae~ I'm kind of on a block at the moment. ><"

Eunhyuk’s POV~

“Aish, Donghae. You look pathetic right now. Can you please get outta bed?”

“What’s the point?” Donghae mumbled under the blanket.

I sighed from my place on the floor. He’d spent the last two days crying nonstop and when he was sleeping, I could always hear Uki’s name coming from his mouth. He’s literally been in bed for the last two days and had not gotten up for anything. I’m beginning to wonder just how big his bladder is when he usually has the bladder of a three-year-old. O.o I sighed again when I heard his muffled crying once more.

“Aish, Donghae. C’mon. I bet you anything that when Uki comes back, we’ll be able to sit her down and make her talk about everything. We’ll work this out, you’ll see,” I said, trying my best to calm down my best friend so he wouldn’t do something as rash as killing himself like the idiotic Uki had. -__-

“We don’t even know where she is, Hyukie. She could’ve thrown herself off a bridge for all we know,” Donghae replied, sniffling quietly.

I coughed, trying to cover my reaction to his very true words. Yeah, well…No one’s exactly told Donghae what Uki had tried to do when she first left and I wasn’t gonna be the one to do it. O.O

“Donghae, I’m sure she’s fine. You know how crazy that girl is. She’s with Teukie right now, so—”

“WHAT?! THAT OLD MAN IS WITH HER RIGHT NOW?!” Donghae interrupted, shooting up and giving me a frantic look.

I shut my eyes, grimacing at my poor choice of words. .

“Donghae-ah, calm down, I’m sure—”

“Where are they now?! Are they at some hotel?! Is he taking advantage of her right now?! Is she letting him take advantage of her?! I AM GOING TO KILL HIM!”

“Yah! You have no right to kill him! You think Uki’ll let that happen?! Face it. She’s pissed off beyond belief right now, so I think it’d be best if you just didn’t do anything too rash. C’mon. I think we needa just step outside of the room and get you something to eat. Manager hyung would throw a fit if he saw how much weight you’ve lost,” I reasoned with him.

“I don’t wanna get outta bed,” he said with a pout, burying himself under the blankets again.

“Yah! Lee Donghae! You have two seconds to get outta bed before I kick you out!” I yelled, frustrated that not even I could get him outta bed. I’m usually always the one they send to remedy his depression and now he’s just being absolutely and totally uncooperative! ARGHHHHHH!

“I don’t want to. Siwon’s gonna kill me,” he mumbled.

“Aish. I promise I won’t let that bully hurt my poor fishie, arasso? Now get up. You need food in your system before you die.”

“I might as well. What’s the point of living if Uki hates my guts? I worked so hard to earn her forgiveness and trust last time around. I didn’t even do anything wrong this time. But she still hates me. I might as well die.”

“Aish, what is it with you two and—Did you just say you did nothing wrong?! Whatta you mean by that?! Aish, Donghae! This is not the time to be acting like a sulking five-year-old! TELL ME WHAT YOU’RE FREAKING TALKING ABOUT!” I yelled.

He remained silent, which completely brought me over the edge. I ripped the blanket off and literally dragged him outta bed and took him toward the door, kicking and screaming. I dragged him out into the hallway and threw him into the bathroom, shutting the door.

“If you’re not done in five minutes, I’m coming in there, arasso?!” I exclaimed.

I heard him sigh and a moment later, the sound of the sink turning on and him brushing his teeth filled my ears. I smiled, feeling very accomplished indeed, as I headed to the kitchen to see Alex turning some bacon over in a pan on the stove with the other guys sitting at the table.

“So they’re heading back today?” Heechul asked, sipping at his coffee.

Siwon nodded, chewing his cereal slowly. “Neh. Leeteuk called me today. Aish. That girl. When she gets home, I’m freaking killing her. Teukie said she’d tried a couple more times at the hotel and…” Siwon sighed, shaking his head and spooning more cereal into his mouth. “It just doesn’t make sense. Can you even love a person enough to kill yourself over them?”

“What doesn’t make sense to me is the fact that it was Uki who tried killing herself. She just…Doesn’t seem like that kinda person,” Alex said sadly.

Siwon nodded. “I agree.”

“We’re home,” someone called from the front door at the same time that Donghae came into the kitchen, nursing his black eye Siwon had so gladly given. Siwon glared at Donghae while Donghae made an effort not to look at everyone at the table.

Donghae quietly sat down at the table at the same time that Uki and Leeteuk walked into the kitchen. I chewed my lip slowly as the temperature of the atmosphere seemed to have dropped fifty million degrees, almost thickening enough to choke me. Everyone fell into a deathly quiet silence as Uki stood there for a moment, her expression emotionless, blinking at Donghae who was staring at her, looking as though he wanted to say something, anything. I didn’t know what to do. On the one hand, Donghae was practically my brother. On the other, Uki was practically my sister. Aish. -__- I stayed rooted to my spot by the counter as Uki simply stood there for another minute or so. As the seconds ticked by, feeling as though years were going by, Uki slowly and quietly made her way to the fridge. She opened the freezer, pulled out an icepack, and walked slowly back to Donghae. She set the icepack down gently on the table then looked at Donghae again with no emotion whatsoever in her eyes.

“Ice yourself. Your stylists are gonna throw a fit if they have to work with a black eye,” she told Donghae listlessly, sounding as though she were dead.

I continued chewing my lip. Uki was usually really good at hiding her emotions and putting up façades. Now on the other hand…She sounded as if she were seriously dead. ><” She was turning away when Donghae said, “Uki—”

“Siwon, do you mind if I stay with you at your apartment for the rest of my time here?” she interrupted quietly.

I looked to Siwon, who simply blinked for a few seconds before promptly saying, “Of course. Pack your things, and we can go today.”

“Arasso.”

“Uki, I—”

“You really shouldn’t talk so much. Your voice gives me a headache,” she interrupted, giving Donghae sucha cold look that I’m pretty sure the outback of Australia just suffered a cold front.

Donghae bit his lip and closed his eyes slowly, looking as though his heart were literally ripping in his chest. My poor Donghae. Uki was just about to walk away again when she turned and walked up to Donghae. He slowly raised his head to look at her. She took her earrings and necklace off, laying them gently on the table.

Turning on her heel, she said quietly, “Give those to her. I’m sure Jessica will love them just as much as I did.”

Donghae let out a broken whimper, clutching his chest and slowly crying once more. Aish. I turned and caught Uki’s arm, forcing her to turn and face me.

“I think we needa talk,” I told her.

She roughly jerked her arm outta my grasp. “Hyukie, I have nothing to say.”

“Yeah, you kinda do,” I insisted, grabbing her arm again.

“Don’t touch me!” she screamed, pushing me away from her. She was shaking in her anger again. “All you guys are all the same. Filthy, disgusting, cheating liars.

“Uki, you know that’s not true!” I shouted.

“Don’t tell me what’s true and what’s not!”

“If it were true, would Leeteuk have run out after you the moment you left and stopped you from killing yourself?!” I screamed.

Her eyes widened and the room fell into silence once more. Donghae stood slowly on trembling legs, his eyes wide.

“Wh-what did you just say, Eunhyuk?” he asked quietly.

I blinked slowly and ignored him, focusing on Uki, whose lower lip was trembling and eyes were slowly filling with tears.

“Uki, you know it’s not true,” I told her softly.

She sighed. “I—”

“Ring ding dong, ring ding dong, ring…”

“Yebeoseyo?” she answered quietly.

She changed her ringtone? O.O

“Neh. I’m fine,” she said, her voice sounding so foreign with its dead and emotionless tone. “Wae?…Aish, I said I’m fine…Yeah, I tried, but it’s not as if I’m dead…Oh please. It was probably only a hundred foot jump. I woulda lived. Well….Most likely.”

I swallowed. Hundred foot drop? Is this girl stupid or something?!

“Wait, what?! You’re kidding me!” she suddenly exclaimed, anger being the first emotion I’ve seen on her face in a long time. “James, you’re ing kidding me, right?!”

“Uki, what’s going on?!” Siwon exclaimed, but she impatiently waved him away.

Her brow creased in frustration as color slowly rose to her cheeks. “Aigoo! This guy’s a freaking sicko! Tell me what hospital this instant, and I’ll be there as soon as I can. Oh wait, ! Just realized my Escalade’s still in the shop. Um…Ugh. I’ll take a cab there, arasso? I’ll be there soon.”

She then hung up her phone and quickly headed toward the front door.

“Uki, wait!” Siwon yelled, jumping up and following after her.

“What the heck just happened?” Alex asked no one in particular.

“I’m…Not too sure,” I responded, running a hand through my hair.

Donghae sighed and stood, taking the earrings and necklace in one hand, while nursing his black eye using the icepack with his other hand.

“If you need me, I’ll be drowning in my sorrows in my room,” he mumbled, walking off to his room.

“I’m sick and tired of all the depression in the house,” Heechul stated, sipping his coffee again. “Get those two to kiss and make up already.”

“I highly doubt it’ll be that easy this time, hyung,” Alex said, still working on her food. “Uki sounded serious when she said she wasn’t taking him back this time around.”

“Yeah, but we haven’t heard his side of the story yet,” I said. “For some reason, I have this really strong feeling that there’s some stuff we don’t know about quite yet and that Donghae’s hiding some stuff from us.”

“And who’s gonna find that out, huh?” Leeteuk asked. “The only one who could ever get any information outta that kid against his will was Uki and if you haven’t noticed, they’re not exactly on speaking terms at the moment.”

“Yes, but before Uki came along, that person was me. Just give me some time. I think I can get him to talk. Eunhae’s not completely dead after all,” I replied with a sly smirk, heading off after Donghae to get the full story of what happened.

Lol. So compared to the last chapter, this one was pretty weak in my opinion. :3

Sorry. I just kinda fell into a serious block that I'm tryna get rid of. ><"
