Jeonghan was tossing and turning around in bed. He couldn’t sleep.

If you were still here, you’d sing a song for him until he falls asleep. But that’s the case… You were no longer here. And the cause of his restlessness was your absence.

After being used to having you around all the time, your sudden disappearance brought changes to him.

Now he questions everything. ‘Why’d you leave in the first place?’ ‘Are you coming back?’ ‘Do you think of me still?’ ‘Do you still love me?’

But no matter how hard he asks, he himself knows the answer.

‘Because I have to’.  ‘No, I’m not.’ ‘Not anymore.’ ‘I no longer do.’

Jeonghan wishes he could have done something. He wishes he could go back in time and stop you from leaving, then he wouldn’t be miserable; but that would be selfish of him, especially when you’re no longer happy being with him.

He’s not that heartless.

He just has to face the truth and hopefully moves on. Even if it means losing his smile, himself for as long as he possibly could and return to the person he once was, or thought he was.
