He didn't respond . Hands in his pocket  .    .   .  Eyes glued to her , he just waited for her to explain herself .   .     . No matter how much his excited and shocked to find her .     .   or no matter how much he wants to just wrapped his hands around her wet  and fragile body .     .   .  He just stood there, his heart eagerly waiting for what reason hyeon drenched in rain is standing in front of him .

      Even though he knows better than to hope that she actually came to see him or to stop him from leaving .     .     .   His shredded heart couldn't help but hope .

   " .   .    .  I know you probably sick of hearing me talk about the land but i wanted to .    .   .  "Even hyeon cut her sentence short when she noticed the immediate change on jae's  face .  

     " .   .   .  To ask you to place back the hold " she finished her sentence in a small voice as jae just smirked turning his eyes to the right and   pushing his hair back .

      " .     .   .  Huh " joon sighed looking at his bosses disappointed face.

     " .    .    .  Is that really why you're here  " jae asked a small smile on his face turning his eyes back onto hyeon , covering his face with his hands.

         Hyeon stared back looking at his eyes something pulling her from saying yes ,   .    .     But seconds later she replied.

    "   yes.    .    "  

" .    .   .  You're the only one who can place it back on and if you can not do that can you just sign on the agenda for the shareholders meeting tomorrow" she added ,

   " .    .    .  Am not even asking you to be there , you can just sign the paperwork and it'll be fine " she said rushing her speech as she saw the security guards walking from across the room

   " .     .     .  Why would i do that " jae asked , not sure but to hyeon his voice sounding little bit angry.

    " .     .    .  Because the company "

" .    .    .   The company has nothing to do with me " jae interrupted her before she even started talking .

      " .    .     .  But you're still a shareholder "

" .     .   .  And most follow your way , so if you vote no for it most will vote no too" she added  , now aware that jae doesn't actually have an obligation to help her .  He'sHe's just a shareholder and will benefit with what is going on rather than voting no which will cut down his profit .

     "    why would i do that ?" He asked the question hyeon is just now asking her self , why did she even run here .    .    . Getting drenched by the cold rain .    Why would he even help her, they are not friends nor colleges .     .    .  Nor does he owe her a favour more like she owes him multiple favours.

     Hyeon just stared back , with nothing to answer him with.

  "     miss you need to leave " the security men said giving jae a small bow and looking at hyeon .

    " .       .     . It’s for security reasons "the security guy responds to joon when he tried to hold the security back when he grabbed onto hyeon's arm.

       She couldn't even say do it as a favour, .    .     .  She owes him a lot to even ask , but even asking him for one more favour feels weird  .   And embarrassing to even ask her to help .

      She already feels inferior standing in front of him , asking him for help will be the affirmation to how much incapable she is when  compared to him .     .      .  

     " .    .    .  Let's go" the men grabbed onto her arm and.

   " .     .    .  You said to ask if i need help" she screamed finally throwing away all her pride and fear.    .       .     Recalling what he has said to her almost a  week ago .

     " .     .     .   You said to ask ,

" .     .      .  Am asking for help " she kept her eyes directly on him     .     .    Jae didn't respond just stared back his sharp eyes glaring at her as the two men dragged her out .

     " .     .     .  Just sign the paper .    . That's all i'm asking you to do .    .       . "

Baam , the door closed before he could her finish her sentence  .

   " .   .   .  Let me go .    .    I'll go by myself " hyeon pulled her arms out from the guards.

    " .   .   .  That way " the security pointed to the street when hyeon glanced back  to see joon and jae walked back towards the glass door being led by a flight attendant .

    " .    .      .  Don't push me "hyeon glared at the security .

     " .    .    .  Huh "she sighed  feeling more hurt than she expected to be .    .     .   

   " that's why we never ask for help " the voice in her head screamed  .     .      .  Reminding hyeon once again why she's scared to ask for anybodies help  , .      .      .    It stings a little to extend your hand out and ask for help but get no hand that will lift you up .

      But this one stings more than usual.     .     .    It hurts more than usual .

    "  what did you expect"  she scolded herself  .    .    .   In a way trying to cheer her shocked self .

Hyeon brushed her hair back once again letting the rain attack her right on.

   " .    .   .  Why would i do that ? " his question ringing in her head .  Wondering why she even choose this moment to reach her hand out and ask for help .         .        .  

     " .     .    .    Jerk " she cursed an empty word , not at jae but for the moment more mad at herself for even trying to ask for help .    .     .   Angry at herself for feeling hurt .

  "    .     .    .  You stay with lay , " out of nowhere his sharp comment for that day started playing in her head .     .         

      " .     .     .  Jerk " she cursed out again.  Still mad at herself.  

     An over an hour drive , a quick hot shower  .  .  4 hour long of report organizing and 5 hours of sleep later hyeon woke up her mind still caught up about what happened last night at the airport .

 But it didn't last long as the stress of the shareholders meeting started busying her mind the whole day though.

".      .    .  Let's go " jessica sneaked her head past the door

  " .     .     .  This is gonna be awesome " hyeon smired as   brushed her hair back  picking the folder from her table and heading out of her office .

   " .     .     .  It will take us about 7 minutes “ the driver said to lay  .   .   . as lay shyly glanced at hyeon when she got in the elevator followed by jessica.    .    .not able to help her even a little bit lay has stayed most of the night up last night thinking of ways he could help hyeon. for the first time doubting whether it was best for her to even work for him as he had seen her face deteriorate away as she looks more stressed and pressured to handle way more than she can  .    . .with the C.E.O. and Jae gone, all work has been laid rather than him who has the title onto hyeon .

     “    .     .     .  You have  a meeting an hour after the shareholder one , with the brandnew director “ jessica glanced at lay .

   “    .     .  . are you coming “ lay asked looking up at hyeon.

“   .    .   .I have to go to the management meeting “ she said her voice out of energy not even looking up at Lay .

         About 10 minute of deadly silence later the limo pulled over into the hotel drive way.

“    .     .   . let’s get this over with “ hyeon jumped out.

  “    .     ..welcome sir the meeting is gonna be in the 3’rd floor”the man dressed in a sharp suit started leading them to the meeting room.  

     “     .    .      . just let it go in one ear and come out in the other” lay whispered to hyeon knowing how much she’s gonna be attacked for even placing the hold on to begin with.   .     .he could only confront her with words  .      .   .even his mad that he can't even do anything.     .        .it pains him to see her this defeated and not be able to do anything about it but offer empty words.

      “   .    .  .this way “ jessica pointed to the seat with the G.M sign on it once they walked into the meeting room .    without even glancing at hyeon lay just walked head and sat at the seat seat behind the G.M sign   as hyeon and jessica sat on the two seats behind him.

     “   .    .  .huh “ hyeon sighed placing her bag down on the floor and scanning the room as the men in custom tailored suit started walking in one by one

     “   .      .   .so these are the billionaires making all the profit “ she took in all their happy  faces.

   “   .     .  . ladies and gentlemen  if you could please take your seat “ the man sitting in the middle seat right in front said leaning into the microphone .

   “    .     .   .am sure you all have important things to do so let's get this going” he picked the agenda folder up    .    .   .not just hyeon but even lay could feel a number of eyes directed their way  .    . .specially heyon and jessica , they are new faces.

      “    .     .      . the main important issue we have is with the expansion plan which is lagging behind schedule “ the man said before the door opened and everybody turned their attention to lay's mom who just walked in  .   .    .sun glasses still on , not even giving a smile to any body  . . .she just walked across and sat at her seat.

   “    .     .   .wow” jessica gawked at the mom who from head to toe is dressed in an outfit that would coast both hyeon’s and jessica monthly payment combined  .  . that is even without adding all the jewelry she has on.

    even hyeon couldn't help but admire the chic lady    .    .    .no matter how much you hate the lady she has some great style and knows how to pull off an entrance.  but that didn’t last long for hyeon as her eyes caught thee management director walk behind the madam and sit behind her giving hyeona quick smile.

“      .      .     . we are gonna be rushing the whole project since it's costing us more than the estimated amount that was signed up on “ the man started his speech again

   “     .    . it was supposed to be a 123 million dollar project but the new stats are showing it's gonna cost a total of 175 million dollars “  the man added pointing at the projector behind him which shows a bunch of numbers .

“     .     .    .we are already fast forwarding the hotel constriction by fastening the demolition”  the guy said  .  . .as jessica turned her eyes slowly to hyeon .

    “    .    .    .  i don’t think just doing that is gonna help with anything we need to look through the expansion plan as a whole again”  the man at the other end said  .  .getting an immediate attention from heyon as she leaned forward to see his face .

   “    .      .      .  i heard we are having a hard time even getting an environmental hazard license from the government , we had a huge public protest not less than a month ago now you want to fast forward  the demolition” he added throwing the apper on the table glaring at the man leading the meeting.

     “    .      .    .  look , we have already signed most often deals on this plan  .   .it's not something we can get out of now “ the man sitting next to the madam started replying.

“    .   . what we need is a short and less messy way to deal with the problem  .    .  .i don't want to see millions being wasted by not doing anything “ he added

  “     .     .  .the people have already been payed and already got a 4 day break  . . they should have been out by now “  he added as heyon sighed in taking a deep breath as his statement got cheers from across the table.

“      .    .    . and since when are we scared of the people “ lay’s mom started talking  .    .   . immediately getting everybody's attention.

“    .    .    .   they should be happy that we didn’t sue then for the damages they have caused” she added getting cheers again.

    “    .     .    .if fast forwarding the demolitions construction gona help do it why even bother to ask  .     .   .this is a for profit company “   

     “     .     .     . at most they are gonna be asking for more money which if we have to we'll throw their way “ she added smiling along the couple of men sitting next to her.    .    .feeling ashamed of what his mother is saying lay just picked the water bottle up and  gulped down  .   to try and calm himself down.

        “    .      .     . we’ll one of the issues we have is dealing with the press  .    . .we are trying to control as much as less of coverage as possible but it might still lead to be big if they protest again” the man leading the meeting asked  .   .

        “     .    .    . i don’t think that’s that big of a problem . it’s the government that we have to deal with “

“      .    .    .they are already looking through the whole purchase process and they have asked to be provided all the documentation regarding expansion plan”

      “       .     .     . we are still on a stand still regarding the purchase of the always ready cosmetics manufacturers   .     .      .they are looking for other buyers for a bigger offer “  what the man just said must have shocked the madam as she glared up at him  .

     “    .    .   .what , we are already offering thehem  21 million for it “ she threw the folder  .    .  .the expansion plan being her main project   .    .   .she has bargged and bragged about being able to buy the cosmetics company  .     .   .   she has had to do a lot of negotiations to even get the shareholders to agree to buy the company which is going down hill.      .   .but her pride is on  the lien and she won't stop at anything as the C.E.O. of the cosmetics company's wife has embarrassed he rits her turn now to buy it andembaress the lady back.

“    .    .   .I heard the C.E.O.’s wife has found some new buyers from china who are offering almost double what we are offering” one of the man added.

     “     .     .     . WE ARE  BUYING THAT COMPANY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER “ the madam screamed picking her wine glass up .nobody said anything  .      .    .nobody wants to be attacked personally by lay’s mom ,she has a sharp tongue.

    “     .     .    . I don’t think that's how it works mom” lay said smirking  .   .  .drawing all attention onto himself.

    “     .     .   . well offer double than “ she said

 “     .      .    . we can’t do that , that company is not even worth what we are offering in the first place” the man at the other corner replied getting a deadly glare from lay’s mom .  . but surprising hyeon he didn’t even seem to care.

    “    .   .    .  there's always a way to force them into selling “  the man sitting next to the madam added

“       .      .     .this is all getting out of hand and before our losses expand we need to assign a new team to lead this whole project “ the man added .

   “      .      .       . give it to the management team “ he added getting an immediate response from the meeting leader

   “  .     .    .  they  have their hands filled already they have the china deal and the new budget appropriation to deal with”

  “    .     .    . as you know jae is not here anymore  .     .  .” he added as the room went quiet

      “  .     .    .  we should have gotten his opinion first before getting into this mess” the man at the other end commented .

  “ .    .     .     . if he had closed the deal we wouldn’t be here” he added .

“   .    .     . let's get back to the agenda please  .     .   .”

“    .     .    .  here’s the report from the construction company “ he pointed to the big screen. they said they are ready to start with in two weeks  .     .     .

“    .    .   . the faster we get this construction off the ground the faster i think our stocks will be back up “  he added

    “     .     .     . according to the management team the 4 day hold has caused us about 3 and a half million  .     .  .  and we have cut the deadline by 2 weeks short.”

    “     .    .  .why not make it a week and just add like 5000 more for each “ the man sitting next to the madam said as hyeon almost choked up on the water she was drinking to keep herself calm

      “    .     .    .that would mean we have to sign new deal  .    .  .” the meeting leader replied.

“     .     .   .let’s do that then , they are already gonna move out anyway  . . this people will do it even for a 100o more” another one added .

“    .     .   . we could have just added the 3 million to them and cut short the deadline by 3 weeks “   another one replied  .     .   .hyeon looked around the room as more and more started agreeing to cut the deadline by another week.  

   “      .      .   .huh “ she sighed dropping her head down not even able to look at these people any more  .     .   .jessica started tapping her back gently to comfort her    .    .    .as even lay glanced back at the two women sitting behind him to see how well hyeon was handling  the even way crazier new idea.

         “     .    .    .  if we can get the construction going by with in 2 weeks or so we can use that to cover for the cosmetics company purchase and force buy that one out “  the man sitting next to the madad added getting a big smile from lay's mom.

           “   .     .      .the city council is not gonna agree “

“     .     .    . don’t worry about the city council   .     .     .they have ate enough to keep their mouth shut ‘ the madam replied  making everybody smile .    .confirming hyeon’s intuition that the council men were in fact paid off to agree to the expansion plan.

   “    .     .     . so everybody on board with drafting new deal  .    .   .” the man started looking around the table  .   . . .hyeon matching his eyes started looking around the table  . . .as every one except the man sitting by the other end seemed on board with it.

      “    .     .      I’m gonna go  .  . . .” hyeon whispered to jessica

“   .    .   .am getting a headache i’ll take a nap “ she added  leaning down and picking her bag up  .   .  .but the bag immediately landed back on the floor as it fell from hyeon’s hand   .    .   .her eyes glaring at the men who just walked in.

 “    .     .    . to get the new deal we need   .   .  .  .” even the man lendingtree meeting couldn’t help but pause his talking as he saw the men walk in  .   . .everybody's turned their eyes towards the door  .     .    .

    “     .      .oh “ some gasped while others pointed and sighed as jae walked through , not even glancing at any of them  .     . . .he opened his jacket and sat down at the executive director seat as joon sat on the seat right behind jae.   .     . all eyes still glued to them  .      .  .startled , some shocked  .   .some even terrified that the so called devilish closer they have heard of sitting in front of them.

   “      .    . .WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING HERE “ the madam screamed after about a minute long silence .    .     .as usual jae didn’t reply just picked the agenda meeting folder in front of him and started glancing through the pages not even reading anything.

     “     .      .   .Aren’t you suppose to be in the U.S or dead by now “  she added.  .   .no reply jae just threw the folder back on the table and looked up his eyes focusing on the furious mada sitting right in front of him

   “     .     .     . his the executive director and a shareholder” joon responded giving the madam a quick smile  

       “   .     .   . go on “ joon said to the meeting leader  .    .as the man wasted a couple of second organizing his thought before he started his topic again.

        Even lay couldn’t believe what is going on as his eyes didn’t even leave jae since the moment he walked in  .       .    .      “ is this a jock “ he thought to himself   .     .   .last time he checked jae is suppose to be in the U.S. by now.      .     . and  didn’t he also say he doesn’t wanna deal with anything related to the company any more  .   .     .  confused by what's going on lay just went on staring at jae , who didn’t even look
