“ .    .  . So why do you hate me ?” jae after what felt like an eternity, but actually was 10 minutes asked glancing at the girl next to him who, he hasn't even heard breath since the car started. Seung, keeping her eyes on the road, has saved all her words for hyeon who she's gonna see scream at later. You didn't had to be a rocket scientist to figure out why mrs kim and hyeon had forced these two people in the car , it was evident in the way seung looks at the general direction jae was at and how the later , at any cost, tried avoiding her.

   “    .  I don't hate you “ seung’s reply was quick . She had kept her eyes on the car crowded road as she replied . The tone in her voice filled with resentment , it was hard to belive the actual words she spoke.

  “ .   . I Just don't like you “ she added giving jae the right verb to explain the relationship between them . It was easy for jae to notice how much her tone and mannerism is alike hyeon. Her defensive answers .  .  her angry tone.   .  Her eyes that are not even for a single glance had turned his way .  .  Seung really had adapted hyeon’s behaviours.

  “ .   .   Nor will I ever do “ she added again affirming the decision she has made months ago . Jae completely taken aback by her comment could only stare at her as she stares at the road.

  “ .    Haha.   “ he smiled it off . Having had a list of people who truly , from the bottom of their heart hate him, jae is comfortable with people's distaste to him but this one was out of nowhere. As long as he remembers he has never done anything to seung .  .  He doesn't even know seung . The only thing he knows is how straightforward she was.

  “ .    .  That's called hate . “ jae correcting her as he turned left at the light gave her a small smile .

  “ .   . You can hate me if you want .  I don't mind “ he added for the first time in fifteen minutes they had been in the car getting seung's full attention as her eyes turned his way . The little smile and his sparkling eyes that waited for her baffled ones were good with living her more baffled at how he can say those words with a  smile on his face. What kind of person is ok with being hated.

   “ .   .  I have a list full of people who would wanna see me dead so .    You're not the only one “ jae added brushing his hair back and turning his eyes to the road . Seung still staring at jae had now the chance to see his amazing side view .

One

Two

Three .   . The minutes went by as he car turned to its silent mode. Seung busily trying to figure out what jae meant as jae thoughtlessly stares into the open road waiting for him once he joins the freeway.

  “ .   .   Huh “ seung sighed as she couldn't seem to figure anything out . She could imagine being the executive director of jk could lead to having many haters but why would jae have people who wish him death. May be he is a terrible boss like hyeon used to say .   .  May be he was the type that fired people because he didn't like the color of their cloth.  The richer they are the more rude they get so maybe even the whole office might hate him .   Seung went on thinking about jae and all his haters while her eyes stayed true to his face that she couldn't point anyflow from.

  “ .   .  for someone who hates me you're staring at me a bit too much “  jae , when seung's curious eyes staring at him started making him uncomfortable asked . Startled by his statement and the fact that he knew she was staring at him seung turned her eyes immediately to the road ahead .

  “  .   .  Why do you that many haters?” seung before she even made sure if she should be asking him a question that would start a conversation asked .

 “ .   .  I don't know.  let's see .   .

“  .    .   Why do you hate me?” jae folding his arms as he car came to a complete stop by the red light asked. Again he had caught the teenager off guard as she stared back at him with the same baffled look she had before.

  “ .    . I don't hate you .  “

“ .   .  oh right . Why do you not like me?  . ” jae corrected his question .

 “ .    .  Is it because of hyeon?” when seung failed to answer jae answered his one question . He had noticed since when her tone changed from being nonchalant towards him to just pure anger and hate . Seung didn't reply just turned her eyes to the window on her side.

    Could it be anything else but hyeon? Jae was left even more confused by her silence.

 “ .   .   You know , i love hyeon” jae not even sure if he had to say it or not confessed as he sent his eyes to the girl who cracked a small smile at his comment.

 “ .   .  If you love hyeon she wouldn't be this pregnant without a ring on her finger “ one of the things she had picked up living with hyeon her sharp comments, which added to her straightforwardness makes her really dangerous one to argue with.

  The only thing that stopped jae's body from being in shock was the fact that he was in the middle of a free way and couldn't drop his hands down from the steering wheel. Her statement was perfect in how she had packaged it to attack him right where it will hurt .  .  And jae needed a minute or two to even get his mind back.  

He was left speechless .   . His startled eye staring at the girl who had kept her on the view of the city they are driving past by.

 “    .   Wouldn't anybody who love her marry her by now so she won't feel embarrassed by having a baby out of wedlock” she added not giving jae any break to catch his breath.

 “ .    I

“ .    .  I  “ jae stutured and seung knowing she got him right where she wanted him turned around facing him.

 “ .    .  Or are you preparing for your second escape “ she added not knowing how much of a sensitive subject she is messing with but it was evident in the minutes to come how seriously jae takes this matter as he rushed and pulled the car over .

  “ .   .   Huh , “ seung gasped in holding her hands closer to her heart as it jumped a beat when the car out of nowhere got pulled over and her body swung back.

“ .    .  Huh  .  ”jae sighed a couple of times brushing his hair back . Seung saying those lines was shocking and what was more frightening was she might be saying the same exact words to hyeon reminding her of what jae had done so she could never forget.

  “   .    .  Your too young to understand but i left hyeon for her own good” jae as he calmed himself down started explaining.

 “ .   .  Oh so the fact that she was a living zombie for months was for her own good .  .  “ seung was the one that raised her voice as she with a  scary smile asked jae .    Her arms quickly folding as her body turned his way and waited eagerly  for his reply.

  “ .   .  Wh.   “ jae couldn't even think fast enough to reply . He was left baffled again at where all this anger and hate was coming from and why on earth it was directed at him . Even hyeon , who was the one he had broken, hadn't had this much anger firing at him as he begged for her forgiveness .

   “ .    .  Am sure your not gonna marry her for her own good to so you could make a run for it any time you want” seung added as the shocked jae just kept staring at her. Totally taken aback and left dismayed by her comments.

  “ .    .   Do you really think I would leave hyeon?”

“  .   .  Why wouldn't , you it's not like you're gonna lose anything by leaving her “ seung turning her sharp eyes to the road commented back leaving jae speechless.

Two

Three .  . Minutes went by as jae more than trying to answer her questions wonders about why she was this angry. He knew it had to be deeper than him leaving hyeon  .   . There is now way possible anybody could hate him this much for what he has done to hyeon.

  “ .   . Huh “ he just sighed as he started the car and joined the road .

      One hand on the steering wheel one hand on his head that is atting to hurt as he was starting to over analyze why the person next to him was this angry . Her tone was not something new as he had heard it before .  The look in her eyes weren't new as well as he has seen it before .   .    This kind of hate , this kind of anger comes from deep within and there was no one better than jae who knows that. Which why it didn't take much time till jae started collecting the tiny pieces of the puzzle he had

“ .    . If i marry hyeon we are gonna be  leaving the country , are you ok with that?” jae asked shocking seeing as even her body fidgeted when she heard his question .   .  As she slowly raised her eyes to jae she had found his serious looking ones staring back at her .    

  “ .    .  Onni is not insane enough to do that “ seung's red bloodshot eyes asked.

“ .   .  She was insane enough to fall for me and get pregnant” jae turning his annoying argument personality on commented back . He might have been far removed from his position as a executive director but his ability to rub people the wrong way to get what he wants or find out whatever he wants to know is as good as ever. It was one of the talents that made him a great boss.

   “ .   . It's not like she can run away with my child? “ jae asked giving the teenager angrily staring at him a small smile.

 “ .   .  I seriously don't like you “ seung wasn't able to hide her anger anymore .

 “ .    . i know that already “ jae knew if he annoyed her enough she will explode .  He had seen it from experience . So much of seung is just like hyeon and she has always been easy to tick off when he annoys her to much .

      “ .   Huh “ seung sighed brushing her hair back a couple of times .

   She was just too darn cute trying to calm herself down jae noted as he gave seung some break and stated quite focusing in driving . She not just looks annoyed but uncomfortable too as she moves around fixing her seating position .

    Teenagers . He smiled .

 Having never lived with anybody who was younger than him jae is now first hand seeing what those so called teenagers and all their hormones and rage is like .  . He tried hard to recall but he can only remember himself being a  dead quit and always alone in that big house for all those teen years. The only thing on his mind was getting to college as the double major and outsmart his younger brother . There was not even any other single thought in his mind at that point .  .  . Every Drop of energy he had was focused on revenge on the people that locked him up.

   May be if he had someone like hyeon or a family that gave a damn he might have been able to actually go through those hormones and express them well as every other teenager. No defence .    No shouting at parents .  .  No slamming doors.    .  He was a dead quit always doing what he was told type of

 No wonder he is not even a little bit normal . His whole upbringing is far removed from being normal which explain his so many problems he takes medicine for. He never had the luxury to even learn to mingle with strangers at school as he was home schooled , in the luxurious library he had to sit eight hours of his day in .

   “ .   . Do you wanna know the truth” jae brushing his hair back as he rested his left hand on the his window while the right loosely held the steering wheel asked .  .  Seung who had been enjoying the silence and the smooth drive since jae interested the open freeway waited for his words as she kept her eyes at the open road .

  “ .    . Hyeon would never leave you for me “ jae with a heartbreaking whisper of a voice spoke out and seung couldn't help as her head turned around and her startled eyes landed on the man next to her .

 His hair that was flying away forced by the cool breeze coming in from his opened window .  . . His sad eyes on the road giving seung a good view of his flawless face that looks way saddened by the words he spoke out , seung couldn't help but stare at him . It was like she was seeing the real aje for the first time as the nonchalant words he had whispered out give her a glimpse of the broken soul inside that had captured her hyeons heart.

    “ .   .  Even if i put a ring on her finger you two will always be number one “ jae added brushing his flying hair back and moving closer to the opened window . Seung wasn't sure where all her anger evade to as she just sat there thoughtlessly staring at jae who in just one sentence had captured her .

  “ .    .  Huh .  “ she had heard it a couple of times as jae sighed brushing his flying hair back . Her eyes that had once ina while glanced his way have caught him lost in his own thoughts .   Somehow he looked way more phitatic as he sat there dead silent. Not even the little smiles he was annoying her with were on his face as he focused all his attention on the road .

     Click - he pressed the green button on the screen and in a slow swing the roof started opening .   

The cool air now fully taking control of the mood in the car as both just sat back letting it attack their bodies . The road could not have been any more quite nor could the car be any more smooth and silent as it crushed the empty street . With closed eyes seung sat back letting the cold air sink out all tangled feelings buried in her heart .   .   . Somewhat the silence and the breeze more therapeutic in calming her down and even for minutes letting her forget all that had happened .

    Not her mother death or her dad abandonment or the fact that hyeon might be leaving them behind nor school or anything else occupied her mind .  Just sitting there breathing in the cold air . No stress . No thought.  at least for now.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they could just drive off for ever and never return back . If they could just breeze in and sit in silence never having no thought , nothing to worry sick about . Just to drive away far far away .

   She didn't even know when the exact moment was as the tears started rolling down her closed eyes .   .   The silence she had thought that would be comforting was piercing through her heart .  Shifting her whole body to the window seung brushed the tears off before jae gets a glimpse of them . Her face out the window getting attacked by the cold air was beyond red as she tries to crush of the tears as they roll down her eyes.  The cold air brushing against her warm skin and the dead silent night were enough to shake her worn out heart . Nothing did jae had to say or do .   The moment by it self . The scenery by itself was enough to erupt the sadness out of the girl that had out so much effort in hiding it ,

  “  ahh “  she took a deep breath as she opened her eyes when she felt the car slowing down and started hearing some car noises. Both her hands quickly brushing her face not to leave any trace of tears she made sure to sit up and face front as she put her hoddi on hiding her face completely for jae .

Make an exist at exit 22b - The gps that seung hadn't even noticed was on screamed . Jae following orders merged right and exited the freeway . On contrary to the road they were on this one was crowded not just by cras but by people. The city lights were as bright as ever , the slognes of restaurants and hotels bigger than ever too .   . People most with shopping bags walking this way that way had on great smiles as they come out and into the line of shops in each side . If it had been any other day seung might be gawking at the amazing city view but now it didn't even seem like it was fasing her as she just sat there staring mindlessly at it  wondering why so many people look this happy .

   Walk  

The sidewalk screamed after a couple of seconds the light in front turned red halting every car heading its way.  Thier car in front of the line gave seung staring out her window a great view of the people crossing the road .  Her eyes more than the 20 somethings smiling ear to ear arms filled with shopping bags were focused on the family at the end walking away with the dad and mom at the end while the two girls were walking hand in hand in the middle. Both little girls busy eating their ice cream were jumping up and down as the tight hold of their parents and forced them to follow quickly along . The mom and dad seem to be having their own funny conversation as the mom is non endlessly smiling .  .   . Not even one shopping bag or brand name on their cloth but they above than anybody who looked fancy that she had looked at on these streets  looked as happy as these four.

  She didn't even knew it as her head turned around her eyes following their every step .  .  . She had forgotten her effort to hide her eyes from jae as she followed the family to the end of the other side . Jae as her head turned to his side curisou by what she was staring at has followed where her eyes were staring at to find the family of four turning right at the curb. Seung as though she had realized he could see her face had instantly turned her head back to her window .

     A couple of minutes later jae pulled the car over into the small parking lot of what looked like a cafe .

 “ .   .  Do you want something, am getting something to drink“ jae opening his belt and looking for his wallet asked . The reply never came as the girl who had given him her back just sat there not even a simple “ no “or “ thank you” did she reply with . Jae didn't ask again either as he jumped out the car and headed to the entrance .   . The balcony filled with couples and friends enjoying their meals . Seung's eyes were on them until jaes back got in her view as he headed up the stairs to the entrance .

  From his shoes to his hair she got a great view of the man now everybody was staring at  and just like her had started down at him scanning everything he had on before he disappeared through the doors. She could see some of the girls from the balcony smiling with excitement as they saw jae walking in .

“   If only hyeon was here .” seung's furious eyes stayed at the girls who she cursed out . If her eyes could shoot lasers the girl who stood up and started walking down stairs would have been dead by now . Seung didn't had to think much to know where that girl was going as she finished the stairs down and headed in through the doors jae just walked into. Seung jumping up looked around her to see if anybody was seeing what she is seeing .  In seconds her sad eyes had turned furious as she just started smiling with bewilderment .

    It didn't take her seconds either as she jumped out the car slamming the door and headed up the stairs jae took . The automatic door was smooth as it opened sideways letting her i to the amazing cafe filled with people but her eyes having only one target didn't take along the rest of the people as they immediately found her target jae standing by counter and the girl shyly brushing her hair back standing next to him.

 Seung’s eyes more than on jae who was talking stayed on the girl shamelessly flirting with jae as she keeps brushing her hair back and tapping his shoulders .

“ .   . This “ seung cursed as she took a step but her steps were halted as the girl lenaed in and whispered i to jaes ears and jae started smiling . Seung again had to look around her tos ee if anybody was looking at these two just like her .  .   Furious totally furious she knew she could have walked and cursed them out but that won't do any good so she pulled her phone out and started recording . Not even did she wait till teh end as she got a good amount and left the cafe .  Slamming the door again as she got in
