It took less than a week for the whole team to be familiar with the woman at the center. Mrs park has made sure their doors were open anytime and the office was open to any of them as well. Mrs park, after a quick discussion with the women has, was offered Hyeon and the team free lunch anytime they wanted. It was the least they could do for the work they are receiving for free. Mrs parks cooking wasn't something nobody would say no to and it has become a small habit to drop by there and eat with the woman.

Hyeon, who has been trying to get every detail of the case, has even dropped by Mrs. Park's house once or twice. Her other work taking her full day she had to use late nights. Jessica who accompanied her for one of those nights didn't seem to mind that her friend was working crazy hours. This was very important.

" here are some snacks" Mrs park brought the cut of pear and pineapple and placed it on the table Jessica and Hyeon had filled with papers and files from the day the center started.

" we’re eating too much" Jessica complained

" Have you seen yourself in the mirror? You're all skin and bones '' she got a good slap on her back for what she just said.

" At least you look fine, she is " Mrs. Park cut her words short as she caught Hyeon's scary eyes glance up her way. Hiding behind her glasses her ever so focused eyes returned to her paper when Mrs park didn’t finish her sentence.

" She works too much," Jessica, placing her laptop down, started eating. She has a rule about eating after 9 p.m. but this was just fruits and she never says no to fruits.

" I see " Mrs park pulled up her glasses and put them on. She needs to find the original contract with the city that Hyeon has asked for. Now wasn’t the time to go back and forth about Hyeon's work ethic which, even Mrs park who ave known her for only a couple of weeks, don’t approve off.

"your house is so beautiful" Jessica who spent an hour the first time they visited talking about how clean, organized, and nicely decorated Mrs park house was, is still not over it.

" the lady who used to run the shelter used to live here. She gave it to me when she passed away. This is the first thing I ever owned " Mrs park who never actually opens up about who she is gave them a small glimpse and both Hyeon and Jessica’s attention turned her way.

" I used to live in the shelter"

" She saved my life" Mrs park added turning towards one of the photos next to the TV set.

" what happened " before Jessica finished her question she got a good stamp from Hyeon as a warning

" haha" Mrs park who knew what just happened under rather table couldn't help but smile

" that's a very long story"

" We have time, " Jessica, almost sounding giddy was quick to respond. She had made sure to pull her legs towards herself.

" I need a drink for that " Mrs. Park placed her baby pink cardigan that matched her PJs down on the table headed to her fridge.

" Ohh yes" Jessica was the only one who voiced it out but even Hyeon was excited to drink. In a minute the table filled with paper would be forgotten as Hyeon lay on the floor right next to Mrs park who was sitting against the big couch Jessica was sleeping on. " a few months later I heard he got married "

" nooo" Jessica whispered out in shock

" yes. They had a huge wedding and moved into a new house"

" I was a mess "

" I could have jumped off a bridge considering the state I was in" Mrs park had caught the little discomforted move Hyeon just made

"Every day was just like living in hell," she added as both she and Jessica glanced at Hyeon who slowly started standing up from the floor she was laying on. She sat upright next to Mrs park

" so I decided I am just gonna end my life"

" I mean hell couldn’t be any worse, I thought" Mrs park turned to Jessica who was immensely engrossed in the story.

" I took some pills and just laid in bed"

" the next morning I woke up in a hospital bed coughed to the bed"

" huh" Mrs park paused as she brought her glass up and took multiple sips

" I was told I was pregnant "

Everybody in the room needed a second to process as even Mrs park paused her story to think about the day she clearly remembers.

" as much as I wanted to die I knew I had to live for that child"

" They kept me in the hospital for months until I gave birth "

" The baby died before I ever set eyes on him" The small tears that rolled down Mrs park’s cheeks were tough to look at as Jessica turned her tear-filled eyes to the ceiling.

" I didn't even need a birth certificate when they buried it”

“ I didn't have anywhere to go so they sent me to different shelters which I didn’t go to”

" and that's when she found me on the street and took me in"

" I would have died if not for her" Mrs. Park leaning closer pulled the blanket towards Hyeon. She looked cold.

" I never thought I would ever be happy again"

" Time does wonders" Mrs park startled by Hyeon's hand that brushed her tears away leaned closer.

" Are you okay" Mrs park asked? She knew she triggered something in Hyeon but she wasn't sure what. Jessica who had forgotten about her friends vulnerability quickly sat up

" am fine. It’s just sad" Hyeon gave both a quick smile

"There is some beauty in that sadness," Mrs. Park's gentle and maternal hands landed on Hyeon's back.

" did you ever confront him? Jessica asked bringing Mrs park back to her story

" no. at first I was angry at him “

“I wanted to kill him. like stabs him a hundred times . .” Mrs park and Jessica exchanged a small smile. It was easy to tell Jessica would be into that.

“but then time lets you forgive and move on"

" he was married and had children. I wanted him to live a happy life " Mrs parks pure heart was too much for Jessica

" I would have killed him" Jessica’s words forced all into a big laughter

" You've never been in love, have you?" Mrs. Park asked, turning her eyes Jessica's way. Her hands didn't leave Hyeon’s back.

" no, and thank God I haven't cut it doesn't not sound like fun " Jessica took a big sip of her bear

" well I pray you will one day"

" Why are you praying that for me"

" can you pray that I become a millionaire or marry somebody who's a millionaire and live a lavish life" Jessica was forcing big smiles on the two who sat and started watching her strut across the living room

" I want a fancy lifestyle, go to fancy events and wear fancy diamonds and just be adored"

" ooh child" Mrs. Kim had to take a sip just to let herself from saying anything to blow Jessica’s bubbles

" is it the man or his money who's gonna adore and take care of you like that "

" both " Jessica had to laugh at her response.

" Who's gonna make the money if he is busy adoring you and spending all that money?"

" I didn't know. It’s just a dream let me fantasize " Jessica was quick to stop Mrs parks questions

" what about you?" She turned her question into Hyeon's way. Jessica’s smiles were quick to disperse as she slowly started walking back to the couch.

" Do you also want a rich man who buys you things, takes you to events, and adores you all day?" Mocking Jessicas way of talking Mrs park asked

" I don't want anything" Hyeon keeping her eyes to the carpet replied. Jessica had to turn around and just take a sip of her drink before she spilled the facts.

" who is it? Mrs park asked. It was so easy to read Hyeon.

" is it recent?" She asked turning her eyes from Hyeon to Jessica who raising her hand protested that she's not gonna say anything

" he's nobody" Hyeon picked her glass up she needed to drink herself to sleep tonight.

" so there's a he" Mrs park seemed a bit excited.

“ who is he?” Mrs park whispered to Jessica who came and sat back down on the couch.

“you don’t wanna know” Jessica whispered back but it wasn’t much of a whisper as even Hyeon have made out what was said.

“ come on. I just shared my story “ MRS park turning to Hyeon protested. The quieter it was being kept the more curious she was becoming. She has to know the man who was able to get Hyeon's affection. The type of men Hyeon would like has been a topic of conversation at teh shelter one too many times and Mrs park was now beyond curious to find out.

“ aren’t we being vulnerable together” Mrs park hit the right nerve as hyphen let out a big sigh and brushed her hair back.

“He was a millionaire” Jessica hiding behind her glass spoke out . . .eventhough she was scared of Hyeon the shocked face she got out of Mrs park was worth it.

“ I mean he is still a millionaire or probably a billionaire by now ” Jessica added as she noted Hyeon's scary eyes focused on her

“ sorry” Jessica whispered taking a sip of her drink.

“ what?” Mrs park turned her questioning eyes Hyeon's way. Never in a million years would Mrs park had guessed Hyeon would date some spoile
