Amber entered the apartment, carrying grocery bags. “Henry usually helps me carry these for me.” She looked around. “Henry, I’m back.”

“I thought he was cleaning this mess I  call my apartment.” She skipped over the empty boxes of pizzas on the floor, and bags of take-out lying around. “Henry, where are you?” She decided to go to the kitchen, placing the grocery bags on the counter.

“Henry, this apartment, especially my room should be clean by now. You promised. And you lost the bet, didn’t you? What happened when I was gone?” There was still no sign of Henry. “I won’t clean my room.” She spoke. “I won’t lift a finger to help you. You lost the bet, Liuser.” She used his Chinese surname to , calling him a loser.

“Wait, he could use that against me. I am also a Liu. I called myself, a Liuser before back home. Don’t ever use that word ever again, Amber” She told herself, even pointed her finger at her face, like she was lecturing herself.

“Henry, where are you? The groceries won’t place themselves inside the kitchen cabinets.” She first checked the bathroom, still no sign of him.

“If I caught you again ing, you know I can’t ever unseen the moment I saw you doing that in your room before. Gross! I think you can’t leave shame behind for months, remember?” She already closed her eyes upon entering her bedroom since she thought of that certain possibility of him doing something gross. “Are you here? Answer me.” 

All she heard was Henry coughing. “Henry, is that you?” Her eyes still closed.

“Who are you expecting it to be, Am?”

Basing on his reply, it was clearly Henry, no doubt. No one could ever say something back to Amber like that. He was the only guy Amber allows to answer back to her in that manner.

“Is it safe to open my eyes?” Amber slowly walks towards the bed, referring to what he does when he thinks he’s all alone.

“Do you expect me do to that while I am sick? You are the one who is sick for thinking that.” He still has the energy to tease Amber even if he was coughing while he said it.

“You have a fever, Hen.” She touched his neck, and then his forehead. He weakly laughed. “This isn’t a laughing matter, Hen.” He once again tried his very best to laugh at her.

“What’s so funny?” She looked at him.

“You are calling me Hon, you know, short for Honey.” He smiled.

“The . I said Hen, short for Henry, not Hon, Liuser.” Amber placed her hand over , mentally cursing, and hoping Henry wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. 

“Liuser” He repeated, “like you called yourself before and I bet your friends used to call you that, Liuser.” He used that said word against her.

“You checked the contents of my account. How dare you?”

“How dare I? You are the one who commented, ‘hey, it’s me’ for me to know that you already added me as a friend.”

“That comment didn’t given you the right to read the things I posted there.”

“Whatever, Liuser” He pulled the blanket over his shoulder.

Amber was about to punch his arm. “Be thankful, you are sick, or else, your arm could hurt so bad right now.”

“Oooo, I am scared.” Henry teased as he closed his eyes, and yawned.

“You have a fever since you have been busy with all your activities. Your frail body can’t handle that much work.”

“I am not fragile.”

“You are like a glass figurine. You are that fragile.”

“No, I am not.”

“Yes, you are. And since you are sick, I am forced to clean my room when you should be the one cleaning it.”

“Who said that you are going to clean? You are going to take care of me by sleeping beside me.” Henry hugged Amber by the waist, not letting her stand up.

“Let go. I need to answer my phone.” Amber was trying to get her phone from her pocket.

“No, I won’t.” Henry didn’t do what he was told.

“Hen!”

“Fine. Let whoever that is ruin our moment.” Henry turned away, pouting.

“Oh, it’s Zhou Mi.” She answered her phone, “Hello, Mi-ge. What’s up?”

“Hey, Mi-ge, thanks for ruining everything.” Henry moved closer to Amber so Mi could hear his voice.

“I ruined everything? What is Henry talking about?” 

“Don’t mind him. Why did you call? Victoria is not here, if she is the one you are looking for."

“Never mind then, I thought you are with Song Qian. I want to talk to her but she’s not answering her phone. Clearly, you are with Henry, not with her, I guess she’s busy eating out with Kyuhyun or Changmin, or both.”

“I thought you are not the jealous type.” Henry teased, since he positioned his ear near Amber’s phone, causing his cheek to touch her cheek, to hear what Zhou Mi was saying.

“Shut up, Xianhua.”

“Mi-ge, I have a favor to ask you.” Amber spoke.

“What is it?”

“Henry’s sick, and I need someone to drive to miss a’s dorm, it's Jia's birthday. You also join the party. And–” Henry interrupted what Amber was saying. “How about me? I can drive you there.”

Amber just looked at him. “As I was saying, Mi-ge, Henry's sick so he couldn’t join me, and I had a traffic violation and the police confiscated my license so I couldn’t drive there. ”

“Over-speeding again, huh?” Henry teased and Zhou Mi laughed.

“I did not. My offense was I was beating the red light and that was my second time already.”

“Okay. Sure. I’ll drive you there. I also know Jia and Fei but we are not close like you are with them. It’s kinda awkward to be there.”

“It won’t be I promise.”

“Okay. What time is the party?”

“Around 5 pm.”

“Oh I see. Be there around 4:20, 4:30 around that time.”

“Thanks Mi-ge. See you. Bye.”

“Bye.”

“You are going to leave me alone.” Henry coughed, acting all weak.

“I need to go Jia’s party. She’s a good friend of mine.”

“But… but…” He coughed again.

“But you are sick, I know. Just stay in bed and rest until I get back.”

“I will start picking up some trash to lessen your work when you are back on your feet. When you are not sick anymore, you can continue cleaning the apartment and my room.” She ruffled his hair and pinched his cheek.

“Sleep.” She fixed his pillow and blanket, and kissed his cheek.

Henry wanted to kiss her. “Op, wait.” She stopped him from kissing her on the lips, placed two fingers on his lips. “You are sick. I can be sick if you kiss me. So no can do.”

She walked toward the door, and turned off the lights.

“Amber, you ready?” Zhou Mi asked as she let him inside the apartment.

“Just gonna check on my patient, and we are ready to go.” Mi followed Amber towards the bedroom.

“Is he wearing floral pajamas?” That was the first thing Mi noticed.

“He doesn’t have change of clothes when he went here. So I lend him the floral pajamas, Krystal and Sulli bought for me on my birthday since I will never ever wear it.”

“I really need to take a picture of this. The guys will laugh their asses off.”

“Send that to me afterwards, okay? I am too lazy to grab my phone out of my pocket.”

“Sure.”

“How is he?”

“Still has a fever. He just needs a lot of rest.”

“Amber, what happened to you? Are you alright?” Jia heard Amber coughing, and noticed how tired Amber was.

“I am okay.” Amber yawned. “A bit tired and still enjoying your birthday party.” She was holding her phone all night.

“You look like you are expecting a call.”

“Sorry about that. I am…”

“Worried about Henry, I know he’s sick, Mi told me. I was expecting Henry to come with you, but you came here with Mi. I thought I could finally tease you and Henry and say ‘You two look great together’ or ‘Well, I never expected, a dog and llama could fall in love with each other’.”

“Better luck next time then.”

“I will think of way better things to say.”
