Late Night Shopping
Changed By YouThe plot for this one-shot came from a simple tweet - that Amber is stingy - [link]. A stingy person is someone that doesn't want to spend too much when buying things - whether it is something important or just some random thing.

Henry and Amber loved to go to a certain supermarket in the middle of the night since there was a 24-hour supermarket near Henry’s dorm and since Amber was always hanging out in Henry’s dorm they usually end up shopping there.
“That team are not doing well lately. They .” Amber commented upon entering the store.
“It’s too early for you to conclude they will not improve their standing.” Henry defended.
“How dare you question my knowledge about basketball, Tennis Boy?” Amber jumped in the shopping cart Henry was pushing.
“You just can’t get over the fact that I, Tennis Boy beat you in basketball on your birthday.” Henry bragged, grabbing things from the shelves.
Amber put them back where it belonged, “You obviously cheated.”
He grabbed them again and put them in their cart, stuck his tongue out.
Henry grabbed so many different things that he saw that night and Amber never got tired on returning them in its proper shelves the second Henry dropped them in their cart.
“Henry, stop putting things in our cart. You don’t need all of this.” Amber hit Henry’s hand and he grabbed the things Amber just returned.
“Why are even buying vanilla-scented soap, a red toothbrush, slippers, and a bath towel?”
“Are you going for a vacation or something? And you are not telling me about it.”
“We are in the middle of SJ-M activities this year. I can’t just have a vacation.” Henry placed a bath robe on Amber’s lap since she was sitting inside the cart.
“Stop! What’s going on?” Amber shouted, and she didn’t care of every employee duty that night could hear her.
“What?” Henry, with a bottle of shampoo in his hand, asked Amber.
“Don’t give that look of yours like there’s nothing fishy going on.” Amber pointed at him.
“Fine, you caught me. There will be a girl sleeping in the dorm that’s why I am buying all this things for her.” Henry pushed the cart to the next aisle.
“Stop! Who is this girl you are talking about?”
“You already know her.” Henry ignored Amber’s request of stop pushing their cart. “I think you know her way more than I do.”
“Really? When did I meet her?”
“Why are you so curious? I think someone’s jealous.” He smiled at her.
“Jealous?” Amber laughed. “Don’t pull out the jealous card on me. You are the one who’s always jealous of Kris.”
“Keep denying it, Ms. Jealous.” He teased.
“So who’s the girl?” She asked, shifting back to their old topic.
“If you’re not jealous, then why do you keep on asking? He pointed out, as he searched for a certain face cream since he already grabbed the hand lotion that was included on his list.
“Never mind then. I don’t care anymore.” She tried to act like she wasn’t curious anymore.
“So which is better between these two?” Henry showed her two facial creams.
“The one on the right, that’s the cream I use.” Amber reasoned.
“Cool.” Henry spoke, as he examined the packaging of the said cream.
“That’s why you brought me here with you, to buy some stuff for that girl of yours.” Amber concluded.
“Think whatever you like, Amber.” He continued on pushing their cart. “Think whatever you like.”

“You’re seriously giving me the silent treatment.” Henry laughed.
Amber just looked at him.
“Tell me why we are here then.” He said.
“What are you talking about?” She rolled her eyes at him, annoyed.
“Since you’ve been concluding stuff in your mind why we’re here, so tell me why we are here.”
“We’re here because of a girl you obviously like since you’re buying things for her now. And you didn’t even tell me about her.” Amber explained with her bowed down, pouting.
“I told you once that I like you and you laughed at me.” He recalled.
“That’s a different case. I know you’re just joking at that time.”
“No, I am not. How many times will I say to you that I meant what I said to you?” Henry defended as he pinched her cheek. And Amber cutely touched the cheek that he just pinched.
“I only spend this much when I am with you.”
“Plus I brought you here with me because the girl I am talking about likes the same things you like.”
“See, you just admitted it. You do like a certain girl that I just found out tonight.” Amber pouted at him again, jumping out of the cart. “Riding in this cart is not fun anymore.”
“Like I said before, you know this girl.” Henry insisted. “So I won’t tell you her name since you already know her.”
“Buy the things you needed to buy and so we could go home.” Amber ignored what Henry just said.

Upon waking up from another sleep over at Henry’s dorm, she immediately went towards the sink to brush her teeth. She just rubbed her eyes when she saw a familiar toothbrush and a note taped on the mirror.
“Amber, since you always use two of your fingers to brush your teeth because you’re too lazy to actually bring your own toothbrush here, I bought you one. A red one since that’s your favorite color.”
That morning Amber smiled like a fool while brushing her teeth and then she wiped her hands using the towel that was usually placed where Henry hang his towel. She once again noticed a taped note. – “Hey, Llama, this is your towel from now on.”
And bit by bit, she noticed everything that he bought last night was neatly arranged in Henry’s shared bathroom with his dorm mates. And even properly labeled them with her name and placed them beside his things for her to easily locate them.
“Like I said I only spend so much for the girl I like.” Henry stood by the bathroom door, with a smile on his face and a messed-up hair.
