Flashfic: Silence
Changed By Youa/n: Henry-centric flashfic
In the past, I was afraid of the deafening silence.
I was afraid of forever being in that state, alone.
I could not hear a thing, only my voice and no one else’s.
There are times that I couldn’t even talk to myself that is how tired I was of hearing no one else but my voice.
Along the way, my wish came true. It wasn’t silent anymore. I am not alone.
But at that moment I was even more afraid of what I could hear, what they were saying about me.
Eventually, all eyes were on me.
But sadly those said eyes were only looking through me, not at me.
And you were the only one that looked at me, defended me, and protected me from them.
Now, I am neither afraid of the deafening silence, nor even the sound of their voices
As long as you are here with me, chanting my name, as I sing and perform.
