“Yeah… Mr. Byun ordered a few pieces… We need them by tomorrow morning… Aha…” Taeyeon exclaimed. It was 9 AM, and she was seated on her desk, making a few calls that Baekhyun had ordered her to finish this morning.

“Okay… I’ll check with factory… Thank you!” She gave a sheepish smile even though she knew the caller won’t see her. She was just so greatfull that her calls finally came to an end, because ever since she stepped into the office (7AM) she’s been on the phone. Taeyeon looked at her reflection in the window and pouted, she could almost feel her right ear burning, and her left cheek swollen.

“He just likes seeing people suffer…” She sighed in misery and looked back at her reflection again. “… Sadist!”

“Sadist?” A voice came from the door that made her jump in her seat from surprise, Taeyeon’s widened and she could almost feel her heart pumping widely, she turned around slowly then sighed in relief because the person behind her wasn’t Byun Baekhyun, it was just Chanyeol.

“You almost gave me a heart attack!” She rose from her place. “I thought he heard me…” She hissed and he chuckled at her reaction.

“Yah, you still remember that?”

“So what if he hears you… he knows you hate him anyway” He chuckled a bit more and she gave him a questioning look.

“I don’t hate him… I’m just fed up with his attitude…” She began walking away from her desk and towards Chanyeol, who just gave her a small smirk and listened intently to what she had to say.

“Baekhyun is such a… he’s such an !” She let out a frustrated breath that she didn’t know she was holding and Chanyeol couldn’t help but break into laughter. He knew Baekhyun has been crushing on her for a few years now but he never knew he was this stupid in showing it.

“Just so you know…” Chanyeol started as soon as his laughs died. “… Baekhyun only tortures the people he really loves.” He gave her a wide smile, hoping for her to understand what he was trying to tell her.

“Yeah, whatever…” Taeyeon just shrugged it off and walked back to her desk with a tired look on her face, and Chanyeol sighed silently in disappointment.

 “Taeyeon…”

“Hmmm…” She answered while she was checking some papers.

“Can you do me a favor?” Chanyeol asked with a low, questioning tone that made Taeyeon lift her head and look at him. Something about him seemed weird now, like his mood changed drastically in a couple of seconds; she nodded at him and waited.

Chanyeol swallowed a lump in his throat and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself, he reminded himself that he came for something and he wasn’t leaving before it’s done.

“Can you…” He started in an unsure tone. “… Can you take care of him?”

Taeyeon bit her lip, she knew Chanyeol all too well to know something was definitely wrong, but she didn’t push it, and she was a bit confused as to what that meant, taking care of him?

“Yah Park… you okay?” She tried to sound pissed but her voice came out full of concern and worry. Chanyeol sighed a laugh and dropped his gaze to the ground.

“Always responsible…” He whispered, and she smiled faintly at the comment. “Is that a promise or what?” He raised his back at her with a smile, and she just nodded at him.

“It’s weird… you still standing there without me murdering you.” She chuckled a bit. “… I still hate you, you know.”

“Ha!... Yeah, I can feel the hate… get over it Taeyeon it’s been a long time now.” Chanyeol smirked, and she raised an eyebrow at him, crossing her arms against her chest.

“Such nerve… I wake up alone in your bed after you ditch me, next day you act like we nothing happened between us… such an .”

“And I’m proud to be!” Chanyeol winks at her and she acts disgusted at his attitude, he starts walking towards her while she takes a few steps back until her back touches the wall, and Chanyeol is right in front of her at a very close proximity, it’s almost uncomfortable for her. Chanyeol starts leaning down slowly with her shrinking under his fierce gaze.

“I have to admit… that night was unforgettable… you still haunt me in my dreams every now and then.” He whispered into her ear and then pulled back a little so he could look at her, there faces a breath away from each other.

They stay like that for a few seconds, gazes locked with lustful eyes, heat and tension filling the air, or maybe just for Taeyeon, because honestly Chanyeol feels nothing towards her. Sure she’s hot, but his best friend like her, it was a onetime thing and it’ll never happen again, Chanyeol vowed to himself a long time ago that Taeyeon will stay off his limits no matter what.

“I hope I’m not interrupting anything?” A sound makes them jump away from each other; both of them look at the direction of the door to see a relatively short, well-dressed, handsome man, with loads of eyeliner smothering his eyes.

“Baekhyun-shi…” Taeyeon fidgets a bit and Chanyeol clears his throat, moving away he walks to his best friend and gives him a wide apologetic smile.

“I was just teasing her…” He pointed out, but Baekhyun gave no reaction, he just eyed him with a bored look, and then turned his stare to his assistant.

“Did you finish the calls?” He asks formally, looking all cold and distant, and Taeyeon drops her stare to the ground as she nods.

“Fine then…” He takes a look at Chanyeol then back at her. “… Bring me an ice chocolate mocha-chino, double shot, extra chocolate syrup…” He orders and turns back to his office with Chanyeol trail
