“So you want the good news or the other good news first?” Luhan teased as he leaned back in his seat, smirking in pride at Kris, earning him a glare. Luhan chuckled at how impatient Kris seemed but continued anyway. “So I guess you want the good news. Fine, Tao heard from Taemin that Chanyeol’s a mess, like literally. The dude doesn’t even wanna go to work. He stays at Baekhyun’s house, acting like a whiny and thinking of ways to get closer to your bride-to-be’s father.  Congratulations by the way.”

“What other news do you have?” Kris then asked with satisfaction faintly evident on his face.

“Tao sent the pictures to Taemin’s dad’s office… ooohh I can’t wait for the fireworks that are yet to come!” Luhan squeaked like a girl, his eyes blinking with enthusiasm, and Kris couldn’t help but chuckle at how ridiculous he looks. Luhan suddenly stops and turns to stare back at Kris with a serious look, his arms falling beside him.

“Does she know yet?...”

“Who?” Kris gave him a bewildered look.

“Ji eun, duh!” Kris looked back at him for a second, he actually was oblivious of that, and he didn’t know how Ji eun would take such new. Being married forcefully wasn’t something easy to take, and he knew how in love she is with Chanyeol, but he kinnda liked her, and he was determined to stir her heart, to make her fall in love with him instead.

“I’ll take that as a no.” Luhan exclaimed with a bored look, and turned to look at the door. “… How do you propose we hurt your boyfriend?”

“He’s not…!” Kris blurted out all of a sudden, but stopped when he realized what he was about to say.

“You’re such a bad boy, betrayed him all of a sudden… turns me on.” Luhan teased, earning yet another glare from Kris. He laughed at the reaction but soon came to a stop, turning all serious again.

“CHEN!” He screamed at the door all of a sudden, making Kris jump in his place in surprise. A kind looking young man, with honey brown hair, and handsome features stepped into the room, bowing to both Kris and Luhan. Kris returned the bow, but Luhan didn’t seem to care and smiled at him, gesturing for him to sit down beside him.

“Say Hi to Kim Jongdae aka Chen, Suho’s new partner.” Luhan exclaimed with a wide smile, his eyes forming little crescents.

“Partner?” Kris raised a brow in confusion. Luhan heaved an annoyed sigh, and turned to look at the taller latter.

“Yes, partner, partner in bed, what’s so confusing?” Luhan spoke with an impatient tone, and Kris’s eyes suddenly widened, threatening to fall off from his face.

“No! No! No! Nu-uh! Absolutely not! I’m not gonna let you drag Joonmyun into such thing! No!” Kris rose from his seat in protested and blurted out for a few seconds, with Chen and Luhan staring back at him, one in confusion, and one in amusement (of course the amused one’s Luhan.)

Luhan’s amusement turned into a light chuckle, which made Kris halt in his protest to give him his infamous death glare, but like always, Luhan seemed unfazed with the anger the tall latter showed.

“Sit down -face you’re wasting my precious time.” Luhan smirked, and Kris obeyed like always.

“I thought you liked Ji eun…” Luhan began his smirk getting wider as he stared back at a furious Kris. “… but I guess that I was wrong. You love angel-myun… you’re just too scared and selfish to admit it.”

Kris heaved a sigh and turned to look away from Luhan, he didn’t get why he suddenly got angry after hearing what Luhan said, he thought he was okay with Ji eun, no, better than okay, he thought he liked her, and that he was okay with moving on away from Suho. Luhan realized the internal conflict Kris with having with himself, he sighed silently, closing his eyes and shaking his head in disappointment, then turned to look at the blonde latter.

“You always have to make things complicated don’t you… Look…” Luhan began, making Kris turn to look back at him with a cold look, yet some kinnda pain was evident in his eyes all of a sudden.

“… It’s okay to love someone, you’re not gonna be weak by choosing that someone over your parents… actually that’s normal.” Luhan began with a soft warm voice, making Kris raise his brow in confusion. Was Luhan really being sentimental?

“… I know how scary it can be, I’ve been in your shoes. You don’t have to choose money and parents’ love over your own happiness Kris… So I’m giving you one last warning, you could stop all this if you want to, Chen would never meet Suho, and you could run back to your lover-boy, apologize, and have him back… it’s your call.”

Luhan was being extremely serious that it surprised Kris himself, he didn’t know what to say, he was speechless all of a sudden, to stop all this? To not hurt Suho? To be with him forever? It all sounded nice for Kris, too nice. He’d love that, to be with Suho forever. He can’t deny that the past couple of months were the best in his life, him and Suho all alone, no one knowing about them, their relationship was their own little secret.

But Kris knew that this happiness would soon come to an end, when he needed to face the real life, to face the homophobic society. Being with Suho was just a dream, a dream so far away from him, a dream that would never come true, no matter how hard he tried, because in reality, he had to be the perfect son, to obey his parents who sacrificed so much for his sake. His parents deserved happiness as well, and he saw how his mom looked when she found out her only son wasn’t normal, when her only son was gay, she was horrified, she cried for hours, she even refused to speak to him.

Kris didn’t want it to come to this, but seeing the hatred in Suho’s eyes when he came to his house, how he threatened him, how he mocked him, how he called him selfish. Suho’s cruel words echoed in his mind, he could already picture the short
