Crossing your arms, you scowled slightly towards a blank wall across from you. Your boyfriend took no notice, smiling and laughing loudly with his stylists and co-stars in the most recent music video of his.

How many times had he needed to re-film that kiss scene? Four? It seemed excessive. When he turned around to look at you, you smiled, offering a small wave and redirecting your attention to something else. It would be embarrassing if he were to notice your envy, growing like a disease with every moment you spent on set.

It wasn’t that you thought he actually liked the other girls more than you. Everything he did told you otherwise. Natural jealousy, however, set deep in your bones and you glared at everyone who leaned flirtatiously in his direction.

He stood up; lead carefully over cords and lights back to the set. The director dictated some new arrangements, finally satisfied with the setup.

“Perfect. Let’s film that last scene one more time.” Sitting up in your chair, you looked over the sea of assistants and filmographers to see him lean in towards the girl. Their lips brushed gently, barely touching as his hands curled slowly in her hair. You didn’t notice the frown painted lightly on your lips, nor did you see the inquisitive stare from one of his band mates.

“Are you okay?” His fellow member had walked over, sitting next to you in the adjacent swivel stool.

“I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?” He gestured over to your boyfriend, talking with the girl starring in his video. “That doesn’t bother me. It’s just acting.” He gave you a knowing look, cocky a suspicious smirk on his face. “Stop it! I’m not jealous!” He laughed, poking you playfully in the ribs.

“Sure you aren’t.” You tossed a napkin from the table next to you, hitting him softly against the side of his head. Your boyfriend wandered over, taking your hand between his cold fingers.

“What’s up?”

“Nothing.” You smiled at him, noticing the other girl tilting her head in your direction. You shook his fingers away from yours, looking toward the ceiling. He offered you a confused expression, almost hurt by your apparent rejection.

“What was that all about?”

“Hm?” You looked again to the girl. “Nothing.” Hesitating, you opened your mouth to speak again. “I don’t think your co-star likes you talking to me.” You stressed the words with unintentional venom. He grinned.

“You’re jealous, aren’t you?” You shook your head fervently.

“I am not! Not at all!” He laughed again, poking your sides with relentless vigor. You squealed away from his touch, reeling at the ticklish sensations running along your sides.

“You’re jealous! So jealous!” You hit him playfully against the head, smiling brightly.

“Just a little. I’m not that jealous.” He patted your head affectionately.

“I know. I’m just teasing. Mostly.” He offered you a mischievous smile, and you laughed loudly in response. The girl from his music video looked over, a disappointed and dejected look in her eyes.

“I think I know who’s jealous,” you said, tilting your head slightly towards her. He turned around and sighed.

“Did she really think I actually…?” You shrugged.

“I have no idea. You’re quite a catch, you know.” He laughed again, his hand dropping to meet your fingers again.

“Well, I can see why you would be jealous. I’m fantastic.” You knocked your joined hands against his temple, and the two of you laughed loudly, all tension forgotten.
