I was really running out of ideas...until I came across EXO showtime (Cos i think im getting into exo recently) and I watched the third episode (celebrating Chanyeol's birthday) and I may or may not have borrowed that idea for this.

"Why are we here, hyung?"

Seokjin looks around at the busy streets around him. Enough shops. Prime place for shopping for presents. Well, Jimin doesn't know this yet, but the rest of Bangtan is here to buy him a present each. They're to set out in groups and with the given allowance, find the perfect present for their little Jiminnie.

Seokjin looks over at the kids and, notwithstanding Jimin, divides them up. Namjoon, Yoongi, himself and Jungkook are the best at keeping secrets, while the other three are very likely to give themselves away. Therefore...

"Jungkookie will be coming with me," Seokjin says. "Jimin-yah, you go with Yoongi and Hoseok. Namjoon-ah, you go with Tae."

"Is this your grand master scheme of splitting the maknaes up so they don't cause trouble?" Namjoon asks cheekily as he takes Taehyung's hand.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Seokjin smiles, and he makes a 'shoo'-ing gesture to them. 

Jimin follows Yoongi and Hoseok as they make their way down the streets of Hongdae. Seokjin takes Jeongguk's hand and they walk down another street. Namjoon leads a sleepy Taehyung down another streets. They promise to meet back at the same spot an hour later.

"I want that, hyung," Taehyung points to a Gudetama keychain and Namjoon sighs.

"We're supposed to buy a present for Jimin, Tae."

"Oh, really?" Taehyung rubs his eyes in surprise. Namjoon's still not used to seeing Taehyung blonde yet, especially after Jeongguk just happened to throw the whole bucket of paint onto Taehyung's head during art class. They'd tried washing the paint off, but it was impossible. Taehyung can be the second Yoongi.

"Hmm..." Taehyung seems to be thinking hard, but in the end, the two of them are drawn into that trinket shop with the Gudetama keychain.

"Okay, I'm gonna get this for Jiminnie," Taehyung holds up the Gudetama keychain that he saw earlier.

"You have your own allowance you can pay for it yourself," Namjoon says as he looks around the shop for any other trinkets that looks suitable to be a good birthday present for Jimin because Namjoon believes he is a good hyung. He eventually finds an Angry Bird bookmark and he decides it's probably the best present that he can find for Jimin at the moment.

After paying for the gifts, Namjoon and Taehyung realize they've still got tons of money left.

"Let's go get food!"

"Jiminnie-hyung likes bread. Jiminnie-hyung likes dancing. Jiminnie-hyung likes...that."

"What?"

Seokjin pauses to see what Jungkook is pointing to. Tracing Jungkook's line of vision to a shop selling clothes, he realizes that Jungkook's pointing to scarf with Crossy Road character designs on it.

"Jimin likes Crossy Road?" Seokjin shakes his head.

"He likes mochis too," Jungkook points out. "And Pokemon and Digimon and anything that's cute."

"Ah," Seokjin shakes his head as he leads Jungkook towards the clothes store.

Eventually, Jungkook latches onto the Crossy Road scarf and refuses to let go, so Seokjin lets him buy it. Seokjin himself finds a nice, warm jacket with the Pokemon logo on it (and a very cute Squirtle) and decides to buy it for Jimin. He even finds a snapback with the words "Dance till you DROP" that would look really cute on Jimin. 

Right after exiting the clothes shop, Seokjin and Jungkook find themselves staring at an empty road. 

"Let's go look for Mario," Seokjin decides.

"I want that, hyung!" Jimin points to a kimbap stall. Yoongi stares at the kimbap instantly, his mouth waters too.

"Yeah! Let's go get that, hyung!" Hoseok cries, skipping towards the kimbap stall. "And let's get tteokbokki too!"

"Tteokbokki is spicy," Jimin whines as he follows Hoseok.

Hoseok and Jimin spend some of their allowance on tteokbokki and kimbap. Yoongi huffs at the two of them, but stuffs a piece of Jimin's kimbap into his mouth. Chewing greedily and noisily, the three kids walk on down the road.

Yoongi decides that they'd need to lose Jimin soon, and let himself be lost in a toy store or something. Eventually, the three of them find themselves in a toy shop (as expected, Jimin and Hoseok were both attracted to the music playing in the shop.).

"Jimin-yah! Come look at this!" Hoseok cries, smiling as he puts on a Darth Vader mask, scaring the crap out of Jimin. Jimin squeals and grabs a Nerf gun from the display rack. Yoongi takes this chance to look around the plushie section. Well, there's got to be something here that Jimin would like. Yoongi picks up a Pooh Bear plushie. Jimin likes Pooh Bear...he just about likes anything that's in the plushie department.

"Alright," Yoongi takes a plushie of just about everything in the plushie department. He walks up to the cashier, and surprise, surprise! He's got enough money to pay for everything, but now Yoongi is dead broke. He walks over to Hoseok and Jimin with all the plastic bags in his hands. He'd got everything gift wrapped so that Jimin doesn't know what they are.

Hoseok and Jimin have made a mess of the aisle--Iron Man, Batman and Darth Vader masks are scattered on the ground, with toy lightsabers from Star Wars and Nerf Guns and bullets on the ground. Oh, if Seokjin is here he'd be so mad.

"Clean it up, now," Yoongi points to the ground.

"But it's my birthday, hyung," Jimin pouts.

"You still made the mess. Clean it up," Yoongi doesn't waver even with the puppy eyes that Jimin is shooting him. Jimin and Hoseok get to work immediately but reluctantly. Hoseok hangs the masks back since he's taller, and he leaves Jimin to keep the other things. Hoseok sneaks off to find a gift as stealthily as he can, and it works. Jimin doesn't notice him leaving.

"Okay, looks good," Yoongi ruffles Jimin's hair as Jimin points to the plastic bags that Yoongi is carrying. "What are those, hyung?"

"Presents for someone in school," Yoongi sticks his tongue out. "Not for you." He lies straight through his teeth, and luckily enough, Jimin believes him.

"I wanna buy something for Hana too," Jimin smiles, his cheeks becoming redder and redder and Yoongi can only chuckle, throwing one arm over Jimin's shoulder like what big boys do.

"Let's walk around and find out what to buy Hana then."

Jimin and Yoongi make one big round trip around the toy store, and Jimin ends up picking a kit where you can make your own bracelets and necklaces with the beads and string they provide. He pays for it, and at the same time, walking from another counter, is Hoseok, who is also smart enough to ask the cashier to gift-wrap it. It's giant, and Yoongi can't guess what Hoseok's even bought for Jimin. It's something heavy, because Hoseok is lugging it around behind him.

Now that their shopping is done, they're ready to find the rest.

"You're broke too?" Namjoon laughs at Yoongi the moment they approach the meet-up point. Yoongi nods. They find Seokjin and Jungkook a while later, and Seokjin, with his new phone, calls for Bang PD to pick them up.

When the group is back home, Seokjin swaps the presents around in the plastic bags and lays them out on the table. At least Yoongi and Namjoon are mature enough to keep Jimin entertained while Seokjin sets up the place. Seokjin already has Jimin's cake prepared in the fridge.

"Ready!" Seokjin calls.

The door bursts open and Jimin runs out, squealing, followed by an irritated Yoongi and a screaming Hoseok. Jungkook and Taehyung run after Jimin as Namjoon stands in the doorway, confused. Jimin sits himself down at the couch and looks at all the birthday presents.

"Alright, here's the catch," Seokjin grins. "These presents were bought by your brothers. You can only keep the present if you guess who bought it for you correctly!"

Jimin's face falls, "Huh?"

"Like, this," Seokjin picks out the scarf that Jungkook bought for Jimin. "Who do you think bought you this?"

"Kookie!" Jimin cries, pointing to the scarf. "Kookie and I were playing Crossy Road the other day." Seokjin laughs lightly as he hands the scarf over to Jimin. Jimin hugs the scarf tightly to himself.

Meanwhile, Namjoon and Yoongi have somehow managed to sneak past Jimin and have lead Taehyung, Jungkook and Hoseok to the kitchen, where, upon Seokjin's instructions, have decided to grab the cake to march into the living room later.

"How about this one?" Seokjin asks, holding up the heavy dance machine thing that Hoseok bought for him.

"Hoseokkie-hyung! Hoseokkie-hyung is the only one who likes dancing more than me!" Jimin hugs the dance machine tighter to himself.

Jimin is good. "This one?"

Jimin stares at the trinket that Seokjin is holding up. The one that Namjoon bought.

"It must be Joonie-hyung." The corners of Jimin's eyes crinkle as he smiles and receives the bookmark that Namjoon has bought him. It's really fancy--with a picture of the red Angry Bird. Jimin's had a fascination with Angry Bird once. Plus, Namjoon likes reading books, so the connection isn't that hard to make.

Seokjin holds up the Gudetama keychain. This one, Jimin takes a little longer to guess.

"Is it yours, hyung?" Jimin asks, and Seokjin shakes his head. The expression on Jimin's face is absolutely crestfallen as Seokjin keeps the present where it is.

"How about this?"

Jimin mentally kicks himself when he sees the next present. It's that of a cute snapback and a jacket.

"This must be yours, hyung!" Jimin giggles and he hugs the jacket to himself. He immediately places the snapback on his head. 

"Last one," Seokjin holds up the giant bags of plushies.

"Yoongi-hyung's! I saw him carrying a lot of things today!" Jimin picks out the plushies one by one and squeals as he sees Pooh Bear, Mickey Mouse and other familiar characters. He squeals the loudest when he finds Tsum Tsum amongst them.

"Alright, so it's just the Gudetama key chain," Seokjin gives the keychain to Jimin anyway.

The door to the kitchen opens and Jimin finds his other five brothers walking through the doorway, with the strawberry cake in hand.

"Happy birthday to you~!" they sang as they parade around Jimin and his presents. Jimin hugs his presents tightly as they set the cake down in front of him.

"Make a wish!" Taehyung cries.

"I wish that Taetae won't get mad at me for not knowing what his present was!" Jimin wishes, and Taehyung laughs, tackling Jimin playfully. Jimin closes his eyes, makes a wish, and blows the candles out.

"What did you wish for?" Namjoon asks eagerly.

"You can't tell the wish!" Hoseok flails his arms. "Or else it won't come true!" 

"Yeah, Hobi-hyung's right! You can't tell the wish!" Taehyung nods. 

"Okay, I won't tell," Jimin laughs, until there's a pressure on his cheek. He looks up and finds that Jungkook has just gifted him with a kiss on the cheek for his birthday and he's now looking away shyly.

"Aw come on, Jungkookie!" Jimin grabs Jungkook's shirt and pulls him down to sit beside him on the couch.

"Cake time, everyone!" Seokjin removes the candles before the wax can drip down onto the cake. He cuts the cake up into seven slices and hands one slice to each person.

"This is the best birthday ever!"
