A week has passed since Kyungsoo had that not so great conversation with Damien. He has stopped being too pushy and he really gives Lyn the time and space she needs because it is the main reason why she came back to Korea. She wants to find the answer. The one important answer that she needs to get to find the ending to this relationship is very essential at this moment. It will decide if she needs to stay or leave but no matter what she chooses, she will make sure the kids’ happiness won’t be affected. Being together is great but if they create a chaotic surrounding for the kids instead, it is still useless. By being apart is definitely better for them if that will give a more harmonious surrounding for the kids. Since she has been thinking a lot and the extreme weather changes from hot and wet weather of her country to a cold and dry winter in Korea, it affects her health. She has been unwell for the past two days. That night, after the kids go to sleep, Lyn is alone by herself in the living room. She doesn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the guest room. It is suffocating. She reads a book to help her sleeping. Kyungsoo leaves the mini office after he is done doing his assignment that he needs to submit next week. He has started his master degree. He believes education is very important in life so he decided to pursue his dream. He is on his way to the master bedroom when he sees his wife is in the living room by herself. He approaches her slowly. There is a book on the floor. It must be slipped when she fell asleep earlier. It has been a while since the last time he can witness this view. This is one of his favorite views. He loves staring at his sleeping wife because she looks extra beautiful in her sleep. He is thankful that only he owns this opportunity. He carefully sits next to her. He bends down to look at her closer. He touches the hair strains that cover her face. Few minutes have passed but he doesn’t feel like stopping from staring at the wife that he misses a lot. He bends down to give her a kiss on her forehead. It feels really warm. And that caught his attention. “Is she sick?” He asks himself. He puts his hand on her forehead again before moving to her neck. It is really hot. She looks a bit red too. She has a fever and he has no idea. He tries to wake her up but he stops. He doesn’t want to disturb her. She looks like she is in a deep sleep right now. He decides to carry her to their bedroom. He puts her carefully on the bed. Staying in the living room will worsen her fever. He goes to the bathroom getting a bucket of water and towel. He needs to wipe her body with wet towel to reduce the heat. After two hours of doing it multiple times, her body heat starts to fade away. He is relieved. “Get well soon sweetheart.” He says before leaving to the bathroom to get a new batch of water.

Slowly opening her eyes, Lyn is a little bit dizzy. She looks at the dark unfamiliar surrounding. ‘Where am I? What is going on?’ She says in her heart. She wants to feel her forehead to check if she still has fever but she can’t because her hand is held. She looks to her right. She is surprised to see Kyungsoo there. He is sleeping resting his head on the bed while sitting on the floor. He must be holding her hand to make sure he is awake when he feels her movement. She turns to her side staring at the sleeping husband. He looks tired. She can see a bucket of water and a white towel on the side table. Another towel is still on her forehead. She puts it away. Her husband’s phone is next to her, so she grabs it to check the current time. But a picture of her welcomes her view. She is not sure when he took that picture. She is touched by that small action of his. It is only ten passed one in the morning. It is still very early and she is still sleepy. She wants to get more sleep but seeing him there sleeping very uncomfortably, she decides to wake him up. “Kyungsoo ssi? Wake up!” She moves her hand in his hold calling his name twice before he starts to respond. “Are you okay sweetheart?” He panics looking at her with his pair of round big eyes. “Do you need something?” He asks again before she can even answer his first question. She nods. “What do you need? Tell me.” He says sitting straight. She pulls him. “I need you to sleep here on the bed.” She says pointing at the right side of the bed. She moves slightly to the middle of the bed to give him more space. He shakes his head. “No, I am good. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.” He says to her. “I am sleepy. I need to sleep but I can’t sleep with you sleeping like that.” She is referring to the way he slept earlier. “I can sleep in the guest room.” He suggests. Lyn suddenly moves to leave the bed. “Where are you going?” He asks her. “I am leaving to my bedroom.” She replies. “No, please just stay. This is your bedroom too.” He explains to her. “I’ll only stay if you stay.” She ends the discussion. He hesitates to do as she says. But he slowly climbs the bed lying his body next to his wife who is still looking at him. He can never win. He misses this small detail of their relationship. He smiles. Lyn is back lying on the bed next to her husband. He has trouble to sleep now that he has her next to him. He is nervous. She can feel that. It feels so awkward because the last time they shared the bed was more than a year ago. This needs to go away. Sleeping is very necessary right now. He is surprised when suddenly he can feel movement from her. Lyn pulls his left arm up before resting her head on his chest. She then wraps her hand around his body like they normally do when they sleep together. She does everything swiftly as if nothing ever happens between them. “Goodnight.” She whispers before closing her eyes. He is touched by that one sentence. He misses her so much that he can’t help but crying. He tries his hardest to hold it in but nothing can be hidden from her. She opens her eyes listening to that sound of crying comes from her husband. She just lets him be. “Can I hold you sweetheart?” He asks. She gives him a nod before he wraps his arms around her body pulling her closer. “I love you so much Natasha Lyn. Get well soon sweetheart.” He says before planting a kiss on her forehead. Lyn has both of her eyes close and to dreamland she goes.

Kyungsoo wakes up that morning in a very good mood. He smiles while opening his eyes after a good night sleep. It has been a while. He feels like a dream to still have Lyn in his arms that morning. It is already five thirty in the morning. It is time to pray the dawn. He moves to check if her fever is gone or not. He touches her forehead and neck, he is thankful that the fever has gone. He cups her face rubbing her cheek with his thumb trying to wake her up. “Sweetheart?” He calls her. She responds to it opening her beautiful eyes. “Hmm?” She replies. “Are you okay now? Can you pray?” He asks. She immediately nods. He helps her to sit. “Good morning sayang.” He says kissing her forehead. “Morning.” She replies. “Can I use the toilet first?” She asks him. “Yeah, of course sweetheart.” He replies before both of them leave the bed. She is surprised to see a well designated bathroom for a couple. There are two sinks, a very big bath tub and a pretty shower. She sees one pair of pink slippers and one pair of black slippers by the door. “This is yours and finally the owner of this sink is here to use it. I designed this one for you. I hope you like it.” He says pointing at the inner side sink. “I won’t be long.” She replies closing the door. That morning feels very special because after a long hiatus, they get to pray together again. After reciting a special prayer for the happiness and health of their family, Kyungsoo turns around to sit in front of his wife. He touches her forehead again to check if she is really fine. “Sweetheart, I am sorry I didn’t know that you were sick.” He says holding her right hand with his. She shakes her head. “It is okay. It was not that bad. But thank you for staying up late to look after me. It works I think.” She says touching her own forehead. She feels way much better right now. “I am relieved. So today, just stay at home, I will send the kids to school before I go for my class.” He suggests. The kids started to attend a playschool since they turned three years old. It is a good place where they can meet with the same aged friends. They are also taught to socialize and to communicate with their friends. There are so many beneficial and fun activities provided there. Since Lyn came back to Korea, she volunteers to send and fetch the kids from school because Kyungsoo normally has classes from morning until late in the afternoon. When she was not around, Seungsoo or her parents in law help him out but now that she is here, she doesn’t want to burden them since she can do it herself.

“Are you sure? You will be late for your class.” Lyn reminds Kyungsoo. He shakes his head. “Nope, my class starts at nine today, so it is fine. I can send them off to their playschool before going to my class.” He says. “Okay then but let me fetch them later in the afternoon.” She replies. “Are you sure? I can ask Seungsoo hyung to get them.” He suggests. “No, I am fine. I’ll do it. He must be busy with his newborn baby.” She says to him. “Okay.” He doesn’t want to argue. “Go get ready. I am going to make some breakfast before waking the kids up.” She says before standing up. He grabs her hand. She turns to look at him asking what is going on. “Thank you sayang.” He replies. “For?” She is confused. “Thank you for everything that you have done in my life. I am one happy man to have you by my side.” He says looking at her. “You’re welcome! Go! You sure don’t want to be late.” She replies before leaving the room. Though she hasn’t told him her final decision, he is just thankful to see this warm side of her. He is smiling by himself before going to the bathroom to wash himself. She goes to check the kids first. They are still sleeping. They share the same bedroom but sleeping on two different custom made beds. Kyungsoo had the beds made according to the twins’ favorites. The first time she saw the beds, it really amazed her looking at how adorable they looked. The beds really present their personality. She carefully closes the door before going to the kitchen. It is easier to wake them up after she is done preparing the food. She needs to make some breakfast and prepare three lunchboxes for the kids and their daddy. It is her morning routine since she came back to Korea. Since she doesn’t have to send the kids to the school, she doesn’t have to rush because she doesn’t need to prepare herself to leave the house. She normally puts the fastest speed she can so she can send the kids to school right on time but today is an exception. She can take her time to prepare a more complete breakfast. So today’s breakfast is going to be really Korean. Some brown rice, a warm Kimchi Jjigae and some egg rolls are enough to feed the hungry stomachs. For the lunchbox, she is making some tuna and vegetable wraps for her kids and husband. The twins enjoy eating just as much as their daddy does. So their taste is pretty similar. The best thing is they are not choosy when it comes to food. They are always open to try her new creations. So it makes her excited to learn new recipes because she always has someone to give her honest reviews.

By 8 in the morning, the kids and the daddy are done eating their breakfast. They always try to spend that short quality time in the morning together before everyone is off to do their activities. Lyn helps the kids brushing their teeth before preparing them to leave the house. “We’ll see you later mommy. We love you so much.” Both of the twins say to their mommy hugging her tight. They also kiss her cheek left and right. “Love you too my little boy and girl. Enjoy your day at school. Remember to always..” She doesn’t get to end her sentence as the twins continue her words. “Behave, be respectful, be helpful and enjoy.” Both Kyungsoo and Lyn laugh at their cute voices imitating her. “Are you imitating me little ones?” She asks them with her round eyes wide open. They both shake their head. “We just follow what mommy always says.” Jeen Soo says hugging her. “Look at that. Okay, daddy is ready. You better go now. Here is your lunchbox. Make sure to finish it at school. I pack extra food in here in case your friends want some.” She says giving the kids their lunchbox. “Thank you mommy. Daddy, we will wait for you in the car.” Both of them say as they leave to the door wearing their own shoes. “This is yours. What time will your class end later?” She says giving the lunchbox to him before fixing his jacket. Kyungsoo looks at his wife who is acting weirdly. She treats him very warmly this morning. “Today’s final class will end at 4pm. Take a good rest at home. Don’t overwork yourself.” He reminds her. She nods. “Have a good day.” She says smiling at him. He feels so attacked by her smile. Normally she will only pass him his lunchbox and moves to wave at the kids but today she feels very different. She pays her attention on him. This is the first time after what happened. He keeps on staring at her trying to digest everything. “What are you thinking about? It is time to leave now. You sure don’t want to be late.” She breaks the silence. He slowly approaches his wife. She doesn’t make any step back like she usually does. She only stands still looking at him. He then pulls her into a hug before kissing her forehead. He grabs that chance. “I’ll see you later sweetheart. Don’t forget to eat your medicine.” He says before leaving the house. She nods waving at the kids who are already waiting in the car. She doesn’t avoid the hug and the kiss because she owed him a good sleep last night. That is the least thing she can do to pay him back. When they leave, Lyn goes to the kitchen to start preparing for their afternoon snack. She has to make good dough. Since she will be staying home the whole morning, she takes her time. One important thing she has to do today is only to fetch the kids later this afternoon. So she doesn’t rush.

Lyn is getting herself ready to leave the house to fetch the kids from school when she suddenly hears a loud voice from outside of the house. She immediately goes to where the CCTV monitors are placed and she is surprised to see Damien harassing Kyungsoo. It is not even one in the afternoon. Why is her husband here? The class is cancelled? But the big issue here is, what is Damien doing in front of the house? He is holding Kyungsoo’s collars very tightly. For now, it looks like they are fighting verbally. She better stops them before they start fighting physically. She immediately puts her shoes on before opening the door surprising the two of them. “What are you doing to my husband?” She asks approaching them pointing at Damien. “Lyn, stay back.” Kyungsoo warns her not to come closer. He is not reacting to Damien’s attack because he doesn’t want it to be more serious. It looks like Damien is not in his right mind right now. He tries to make him stop doing whatever he planned to do. Kyungsoo doesn’t want him to hurt her. But of course she doesn’t listen. “Why aren’t you answering me? Let my husband go. I am warning you now.” She says standing closer putting her hands on her waist glaring at him. “Hi Lyn! I miss you! I am not doing anything. I am just letting him know that you are mine. I am here to save you.” Damien says smiling at her. She is confused. Kyungsoo is glaring at him after listening to what he just said. “Excuse me! I am her husband. How dare you said that you missed my girl?” Kyungsoo says grabbing his collar. So, both of them are grabbing each other’s collars right now. The view is not that pleasant. Lyn takes a look at her husband. So far it doesn’t look like he is hit by Damien just yet. Damien just smiles looking at Lyn ignoring Kyungsoo. “Let him go right now. You better do it while I am still being nice to you. This is my final warning.” She sends him the second warning. She doesn’t have time to wait for the third warning. He doesn’t seem to care. “I am not going to let him go until he agrees to divorce you.” Only weird words come from his mouth. “Did you make any funny promise to divorce me in front of him?” Lyn asks her husband. He shakes his head. “No way! I will never do that.” He replies. Suddenly Damien pushes him away and he falls on the ground because he is not ready for it. “That is it.” Lyn grabs his two shoulders before hitting his abdomen with her knee. She then pushes him away just as hard as he pushed her husband. He is now on the ground holding his painful stomach. “Why did you hit me?” He asks breathing with lots of difficulties. He is surprised. “Didn’t I warn you?” She asks standing in front of him. Kyungsoo grabs her hand stopping her from approaching Damien. He doesn’t want anything to happen to her. She turns to look at him. He is holding his waist looking at her in disbelief. He never sees her hitting anyone other than in the movie. “Now tell me why you are here today.” She asks him. He slowly stands up. “I am here to kill him so that I can marry you.” He says before running towards Kyungsoo who is standing next to Lyn.

Lyn who is surprised to see Damien suddenly in action doesn’t wait long but to stop him. She kicks the calf of his left leg before turning around to hit his chest with her elbow. And that sharp unexpected step of hers makes him cough really hard. He is back on the ground. And of course the pain is worse than earlier. “Let me tell you something. I am not that well today. But as you see, it doesn’t affect my ability to stop you from hurting my husband. Since you know my family, I am very sure you know what I am capable of doing. So are you planning to ruin your pride by being beaten by a sick me? Or do you want to stop now and leave? I am giving you the time to think.” Damien looks confused to see how hard Lyn is trying to stop him from hurting her husband. He looks at the couple in disbelief. Kyungsoo doesn’t get to do anything because she was too professional stopping the attack. “While you are thinking about that, I got something else to say. Just for your information, there are so many CCTVs installed all around this house, so I can call the police now and let you be in the prison for harassing my family. I mean there is no point for you to do this. I am married and I have two beautiful kids. Why do you still want me? There are so many girls out there you can pick. Why me? This is a silly thing to do. You are wasting too much to fight for this. You won’t win this battle.” She says to him who is still in pain. “But you are supposed to be mine. He took you away from me. You are my girl.” He says confidently. She sighs. “Damien, is there something wrong with your head? I am asking just in case you are amnesiac.” She asks him because this is just too much. “No, I remember everything. I don’t forget anything.” He replies. “Okay good, so that means you are aware that you were the one who forced your parents to cancel their proposal to get us married many years ago. You were not ready for the commitment. You wanted to enjoy your single luxurious life before you wanted to tie any knot with anyone. You said you were only twenty six. You didn’t need anyone to control you. Correct me if I am wrong.” She asks waiting for his response. Kyungsoo is doing the same thing. He is still standing close to his wife. “It was all correct. I was not ready but now I am ready.” He replies without any guilt on his face. “I was not married until I was almost twenty seven. Where were you in those seven years? You were busy changing girlfriends as if they were shoes. You were tired with one, you moved to the other one. So stop claiming me yours when you never own me, not even in your dreams. I was not even aware about this thing until last week. So what makes you thing that I am yours? This is ridiculous.” She says to his face as he is now standing. He tries to hold her hands but Kyungsoo stops him. “Don’t you ever dare to lay your hand on my wife! She is mine.” He says to Damien pulling Lyn closer as he stands in front of her now. Here comes the jealous protective husband.

“Lyn, please stop pretending that you are happy here. You don’t belong here. Let’s go home to where your family is. Leave him and be my wife. I will never hurt you. I will make you happy. Stop forcing yourself to be where you don’t want to be.” Damien tries to persuade Lyn. She slightly pushes Kyungsoo to give her way. She looks at him. “No one forced me to be here. I am here because I chose to be here. This is where I belong. I have my husband and my kids waiting for me here.” She replies. This statement gives Kyungsoo more hope in this relationship. “But the articles wrote that you guys are no longer together. So please stop pretending. He doesn’t even love you.” He says to them. “Damien, whatever you read from the articles that you merely found in the internet is not valid. This girl, Natasha Lyn Eusoff, she is my wife and she will be mine until the end of my life. I can assure you that. I know it is painful for you but this is the truth. I know I don’t have to prove you anything but I want you to know one thing. I love my wife so much. I have loved her even before I met her. I didn’t hesitate to make her my wife because I am so sure that she is meant to be mine. So stop assuming. You are obviously wrong. My love for her is not something for you to judge. Plus it was your loss for choosing freedom over her many years ago. You have nothing to claim that she is yours. She is never yours to begin with. So please stop now.” Kyungsoo corrects what is wrong while holding her closer to him. He also enlightens him while wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Damien looks surprised to hear what Kyungsoo has got to say and to witness what is happening in front of him. Lyn is in Kyungsoo’s arm. He knows that she is not just any girl who will allow anyone to lay their hands on her. “But Lyn, you don’t love him, right? Please be honest with me.” He says begging. Kyungsoo is nervous to hear her answer. “My feeling for him has got nothing to do with you. Honestly, no matter what I feel for my husband, it won’t change the fact that I am not meant to be yours. So please stop doing this. Go home and build your own family. It is still not too late to find your true love. I don’t want because of this silly thing, our parents who have known each other long before we were even born to be awkward around each other. The close relationship between the two families should not be affected because of this. I am sorry I hit you. I didn’t have any choices but to stop you from making unnecessary actions. Please leave now. I am not going to call the police. Just leave and start a new life without all this mess. Have a safe flight back home.” She says to Damien. He looks at the couple. “I am sorry for this disturbance.” He says as he walks towards the gate. Kyungsoo is staring at his wife. He is in disbelief. ‘Lyn is staying with me? Is this real?’ He whispers. Honestly when he heard Damien’s name last week, he thought that he was the biggest candidate to replace his title as Lyn’s husband. Seeing him in front of the gate earlier really broke his heart. He is thankful that it didn’t happen like he thought it would be. His wife is still here with him. Lyn turns around looking at her husband. “Did you get hurt?” She asks touching his waist. She looks worried. He shakes his head. “If I can’t own you, no one can!” She suddenly hears someone’s voice approaching behind her. Kyungsoo is staring at Damien who is holding a sharp knife with his right hand. Kyungsoo immediately pulls Lyn into his arms before turning their bodies around. Damien’s real target was Lyn but now the knife is aimed towards the husband. She only got to see that knife at the very last second. It already happened when she realized that it was a dangerous situation.

Kyungsoo is panting really hard. Lyn is shaking her head denying whatever she has in her mind. Damien is smirking as he is now looking at the couple. He is satisfied. “Kyungsoo ssi?” She calls her husband. Kyungsoo is confused. He doesn’t feel anything. It is not painful. Damien is laughing his heart out. Kyungsoo turns to look at him. I don’t want to leave you with someone who is not worth it. Now I know that he really loves you and you will be protected well with him around. I apologise for my uncontrollable obsessive behaviour for the past months. I wanted to take you away from him when I first read the article. I know that you are married but I didn’t want to give up. I don’t want to regret it later. At least I tried. Kyungsoo, please treat her well. You are lucky to have someone precious like her as a wife. There is no one as special as her in this world, Kyungsoo. I have known her for so many years. You are right. It was my loss for giving her up for something temporary. I should have married her that time. I should have made her mine. But I know she was never mine to begin with. You guys are meant to be together. He nods. “I promise that I am not going to hurt her and I will always love her with all of my heart.” He replies. Damien nods smiling bitterly. “I am going to really leave now. I pray for your happiness. I will always remember you as my first love that I am stupid enough to let go, Lyn. I am not going to disturb you anymore. Though I fail to make you mine, I hope we can still be friends.” He says smiling bitterly before leaving the house for real. She has her eyes on him until he disappears. She is still surprised after what happened. She stands still as if she is nailed onto the ground. Kyungsoo is worried to see her not moving and not saying anything at all. “Sweetheart? Are you okay?” He says holding both of her shoulders. She slowly nods. Kyungsoo embraces her in his arms. He is thankful that nothing bad happens. She stays quiet in his arms until she remembers something. “The kids? I need to fetch them. What time is it now? They must be waiting.” She says looking for her phone. “Sayang, we still have time. Let’s fetch them now. Where is your handbag?” He asks her. She lifts both of her shoulders. She still looks confused. Kyungsoo decides to run inside to get it himself in the house. When he goes out, Lyn is sitting on the steps still looking lost. “Let’s go.” He has to literally pull her to the car. She still doesn’t say much. She only answers to kids’ questions in a very simple way. She mostly remains silent up until they are back home with the kids.

Lyn opens the door of the car and she tries to stand up but she falls on the ground. And that really surprises Kyungsoo and the kids. “Mommy! Sweetheart!” They call her simultaneously. They run towards her and they start to panic to see her condition. She looks pale and weak. Her head is very heavy right now. It seems like her fever is back and becomes worse. Kyungsoo immediately carries her inside the house. He runs to their bedroom and puts her on the bed carefully. The kids are following them looking so worried at the drastic change of their mommy’s condition. She looked fine earlier this morning when they left for school. But why is she looking so weak right now? That is what they have in their mind at the moment. Kyungsoo touches her forehead. The abnormal heat can be felt. He takes her shawl off and s her clothes. He does it in just a minute. He turns around and only then he realizes that his kids are standing in front of the bed looking so worried. He approaches them. “My babies, mommy is going to be fine. Don’t worry, okay? Daddy will take good care of mommy.” He says kneeling in front of them. They both stare at him with their pair of round eyes. “Can we help?” Joon Soo asks him. Kyungsoo smiles as he is patting the twins’ heads. “Of course! But first, can you go change to your new clothes? You two can do it by yourselves, right? After that, you have to eat the cheese pizza that mommy prepared earlier as you requested. When you’re done, you can come here and accompany mommy. Okay?” Kyungsoo says to his kids. There was cheese pizza in the kitchen when he went to get Lyn’s handbag earlier. The twins requested for it this morning. Though she was not fully well, she still managed to make one for them. They both nod as they leave the bedroom. Kyungsoo is back to his husband mode. He gets a bucket of water and towels just like what he did last night. He changes Lyn’s clothes into more comfy ones after he wipes her whole body to reduce the heat. Lyn is still unconscious. She looks so surprised after what happened earlier. That is why her fever is back. She was already recovering well this morning. He leaves the bedroom to make some porridge for her when he is sure that his wife is resting well.
