Seungjae comes to Lyn’s office bringing along a cup of hot tea for his tiny boss. He makes the tea himself. Ever since the poison case, they try to make Lyn’s drink themselves. They don’t allow any deliveries. They make sure they go to the café and buy it themselves without asking others doing it for them. They don’t want the same thing to happen for the second time. Lyn is smiling looking at him. “Here, I made tea for you.” He places the cup in front of her. “Thanks oppa. I can make it myself.” She replies sipping on it. “It’s okay. I don’t really have anything to do outside.” He says looking at Lyn who always looks so happy. No one will believe it if they told them that she is living her final days on earth and that she is going to leave this world soon. So far, the only people who know about the truth are Seungjae, Jeongmin, Jae Rin and Mr Noh. They promise to keep it a secret. When they asked when she is going to inform her husband about her illness, she only answered that she is still thinking about it. They don’t want to force her so they just go with the flow. “Where is Jeongmin oppa?” She asks him. “Oh, he is with Mr Noh. He needs some help.” He shortly answers. Lyn only nods. “What are you doing?” He asks. She smiles at him. “Oh, I am doing the final correction of my thesis. It feels like a dream that I am on my final stage of completing my doctorate degree. It still feels like yesterday that I went for my interview to get my scholarship for this.” She says to him. Lyn has completed the viva for her thesis last week. Viva is a procedure done to defend a thesis. She is given an exception to do it via video conference. She passed it with an excellent remark. To her, she is thankful for being given the time to finish it before she leaves for good. It is like her long child dream and she finally made it. This is her final correction before her thesis is officially published. She is so excited.

“I am so proud of you Lyn. Even you’re not that well right now, you managed to finish it. You sure know how to juggle between the two busy worlds. The two are the working world and the writing world. It is sure not easy but you did it with flying colours. Both Jeongmin and I are so proud of you Princess.” Seungjae says to her. Lyn smiles. “This is like one of my final ‘need to be done’ lists before I leave. I don’t have that much time left oppa. I need to rush.” She says to him being really honest. He wipes his tears. “I know that is why I am so amazed. Make sure you make one copy for me, okay? I want to keep it as a memory.” He says to her. “Okay! I will make sure my family send you a copy of my thesis.” She replies to him. “Are you ready for later Lyn?” He asks. She smiles widely. “Yeah, I am so excited. I can’t wait. I’ve been looking at the clock since this morning. Strangely, today feels so slow. Don’t you think so?” She says to him pointing at the clock on the wall. Seungjae laughs. “I don’t think so. I think only you who feel that way.” He says to her. “Feel what way?” Jeongmin enters the open room. He takes a seat next to Seungjae. “It is nothing. Lyn said to me that she feels like today feels so slow. And I said to her that I don’t feel that way. What do you think?” He asks Jeongmin. He shakes his head. “Today feels normal. It doesn’t feel slow to me. It must be you’re the one who is affected because you have a date later.” He says teasing her. She just smiles shyly.

“Oh, I got something to tell you about Hyun Joong ssi. He called me just now. He wants to see you this week if you’re free. He wants to discuss something with you. What do you think?” Jeongmin asks her. Lyn has met Hyun Joong, Ahn So Ra’s boyfriend once. She is lucky because she managed to track him of course with the helps from her two assistants. And surprisingly, Hyun Joong has no problems to see her and discuss the matter with her. So far, he is giving a good cooperation and they have started to think about a new plan. “Really oppa? That is good. Maybe he is ready to meet me now and proceed with our next plan. I think I can see him the day after tomorrow. I don’t have anything that afternoon after work. How is that?” She says to him. They both nod. “I’ll call him again later and I will let him know. Hopefully this time, he will agree with the plan and we can help someone out of the unnecessary problem.” He says to her. “I hope so oppa. I think he is my last hope to help my husband and his family.” She says to them with her hopeful eyes. “What time are we leaving later?” Seungjae asks her. “Actually I am not so sure because Kyungsoo ssi may come here to fetch me up later but it is not comfirmed yet. If there are any changes, I will let both of you know.” She says to them. They both nod when suddenly Kyungsoo appears at the door holding a big brown envelope. “Speaking of a devil, here he is. We will leave you two.” Both Seungjae and Jeongmin are smiling teasing Lyn who starts to blush. They nod at Kyungsoo before closing the door and leaving the couple alone.

Lyn leaves her seat and runs to her husband. “Kyungsoo ssi you’re early today.” She says trying to hold his hand. He refuses. She is surprised. She then looks into his eyes. There is no warmth in those beautiful eyes. The only things she can see right now is only hatred, disappointment and sadness. She is confused. “What is wrong Kyungsoo ssi?” She asks him. He then throws the envelope he is holding on her face. Lyn steps back two steps out of shocked. She takes the fallen envelope and takes out everything inside. She is surprised to see it. “What is this?” She asks him. He smirks at her. “What is this?” He replies sarcastically. “Shouldn’t be I am the one who ask you that stupid question?” He says later pulling the pictures forcely from Lyn. It accidentally cuts her left palm. She starts to feel dizzy. “Why did you see him? Hyun Joong, he is Ahn So Ra’s ex boyfriend. Why did you meet him behind my back?” He starts raising his voice. His face is all red out of anger. Lyn looks at him. “I can explain Kyungsoo ssi. It’s not like what you think. These pictures, they are not as what they look. This is misunderstanding.” She says to him hoping that he will listen. He shakes his head. “I think it will be wiser for me to trust the pictures than whatever comes from your mouth. Stop lying to me. Stop telling me lies. I am so disappointed in you. I thought you were different. I thought you were innocent. I didn’t know that you cheated behind my back.” He says to her not giving her the chance to explain. She shakes her head. “I never cheated on you. I swear to God I never did that. Please trust me Kyungsoo ssi. You’ve known me for more than a year now. You should know who I really am.” She says to him. “Yeah, because I only knew you barely a year, I shouldn’t put my trust on you too much. I am so stupid for doing this crazy thing.” He says holding his head sitting on the floor.

Lyn sits in front of him trying to hold his hands but he pushes her away. “Don’t touch me with your dirty hands. No wonder you don’t mind me not sleeping with you. You got the pleasure from someone else.” Kyungsoo says to her. “Shut up Kyungsoo ssi. Don’t you dare saying that to me? You don’t know me! I am not that cheap!” She yells at him being so disappointed with her husband. She starts to cry frustrated. “Yeah, I don’t know you. You know what, my parents are right. You’re scary. You look innocent when you’re actually not. So Ra is right about you. I should have stopped doing this silly plan. I should have ignored you the first time I saw you. I shouldn’t have married you from the very first place. I regret it. Marrying you is the biggest mistake in my life.” He says to her staring at his crying wife. She is dumbfounded. “I have wasted my time for you. I have wasted my money for you. I feel so disgusted of myself for kissing you and holding you. If only I knew it earlier, I wouldn’t do that to you. You’re disgusting.” He says it words by words. Lyn doesn’t say anything. She is just quietly crying looking at her husband’s monster side. “No wonder when people ask you if you love me or not, you constantly say that you don’t love me. You have someone else out there. I am so sure you don’t love me because you love that guy. I think So Ra hates you so much because you keep on taking away her beloved ones. First it was me and now Hyun Joong. She hates you for a reason. I don’t know you’re this cheap. You deserve to be treated this way.” He continues. He then grabs her left hand and pulls the ring out of her finger. He then pulls the necklace he gave her few months ago from her neck. It is definitely painful but she tries to hold it. “You don’t deserve to wear these. I am taking them back. Don’t ever call me again after this. I don’t want to see your ugly face anymore. I am not going to divorce you. I want you to live in misery for the rest of your life. That is the price you need to pay.” He says that holding her face before letting it go. He stands up and leaves the room.

Jeongmin and Seungjae rush to Lyn’s office after seeing him leaving. He looks miserable. They can see blood on his hand. They are worried. They quickly open the door just to see the shaking Lyn.
