Mrs Do approaches Dr Park. “Where is my daughter? Is she fine?” She asks Dr Park but she receives no answers. She then goes to Nurse Kim who is standing next to Dr Park holding a file. “Where is Lyn?” She asks again crying hard. This time, Nurse Kim holds her hands. “Please be patient.” She only says that. Everyone gasps. They seem to sense something. Everyone starts to come closer. Kyungsoo slowly makes his way to Dr Park. “Please tell me the truth. Be it good or bad, I am ready to hear it.” He says to the doctor calmly. He tries to look strong while in fact he is broken inside. He wants to end the long wait. He knows everything that is planned by God is the best for everyone. He needs to be strong. He looks at Dr Park. He nods giving her permission to give them the result. Everyone is waiting. “Lyn survived. We managed to save her.” Dr Park informs them all. Everyone starts to cry happy tears. “Really?” Kyungsoo asks again. He wants to make sure. “Yes, Kyungsoo ssi. She is survived. Your wife made it again.” Nurse Kim answers him. He suddenly falls down. There is no energy left on his feet. He starts crying his eyes out. He is just grateful. He is thankful. I promise.” He says to Seungsoo. He nods. Mr Do looks at his wife. “Honey, our daughter made it.” He says holding his wife tight. Seungsoo is patting his parents’ back. He is glad that his little sister really won the battle. He can’t stop thanking God in his heart.

“Can we see her?” Jae Rin asks the doctor. Dr Park looks at her. “For now, she is still inside. We will transfer her into the Intensive Care Unit. We need to observe her condition. So I am afraid that I am not going to allow anyone to see her for now. She needs to be taken cared very carefully this time. She is still unconscious. She is in coma. We can’t say how long she will be unconscious but just like before, it is all up to her now. I just want you guys to know that she has passed that dangerous stage. Please this way.” Dr Park leaves the group. “I’ll go with you.” Lyn’s older brother, Adam who just arrived at the hospital along with his parents says to Kyungsoo. Mrs Do goes to Lyn’s mom, Mrs Aisyaa and hugs her. Mr Do approaches Lyn’s dad, Mr Eusoff and holds his hands. Kyungsoo runs to his brother in law and holds him tight. “How many of you came?” He asks. “For now, only the three of us are here. Maybe later, all other will come too. I am going to update them what is happening here later.” He explains. He then runs to his parents in law to greet them properly. “Go, the doctor is waiting for you guys. Go quick.” Mrs Aisyaa says to him. Kyungsoo, Adam, Seungsoo, Seungjae, Jeongmin, and Jae Rin go to the Dr Park’s office along with Mr Noh. Mrs Aisyaa takes a seat next to Mrs Do. She is still crying but she is glad after listening to what Dr Park tells them earlier. They arrive right on time when both the doctor and the nurse came out of the operation theatre.

“What actually happened? How did Lyn end up being stabbed? Who did it?” Mr Eusoff asks Mr Do who is sitting next to him. Mr Do takes a deep breath. He knows sooner or later, they need to come clean. The sooner is the better. “This is actually all our fault. We didn’t protect her as we promised. We broke our promise to love her unconditionally.” He says to him. Since the aisle is very quiet, everyone can hear the conversation. No one says anything. They give them space to speak. “What do you mean by that?” Mr Eusoff asks him. Mr Do then shares the whole story without leaving any of it. “We only knew that she was sick last night. We had no idea about the terminal illness she had. I know it is impossible for you to forgive us but I am really sorry. I regret everything that my wife and I have done to your precious daughter.” He starts sobbing. Both Mr Eusoff and Mrs Aisyaa are dumbfounded. They have no idea that her daughter is treated poorly by them. They have no idea that she is that sick. They don’t know that she was suffering here. When she feels like keeping it from anyone is the best way, she will definitely do so. She rather suffers by herself than letting others feel the same way. That is why I made Kyungsoo and your whole family promise me that one thing. I made you promise me to take a good care of her. We still care for her but we were blinded by the lies. I am so sorry. I promise that we won’t do that again to her.” Mr Do says to him trying to convince the couple.

Everyone stays silent for a few minutes. Mr Eusoff is thinking. He is calming his wife down. He then looks at his side where Mr Do is sitting. He takes a breath. “I am not blaming you, Kyungsoo’s dad. I understand. People make mistake. Nothing will change if i keep on being angry at you. I don’t think my little girl will like it if we are to treat you guys that way. I sincerely forgive you. You guys are also my little girl’s family. I know how much she loves all of you. I will let her decide. I hope whatever decision she will make, we all will accept it with an open heart. If she wants to follow us leaving Korea for good, we will bring her along. And if she wants to stay here, we will let her be. I think it is enough for us to keep on making decisions for her. This is her life. This time, let her decide.” Mr Eusoff says to them. Mrs Aisyaa who has stopped crying nods, she agrees with her husband’s statement. “Thank you so much for forgiving us. We really appreciate it.
