Kyungsoo is outside of the bathroom drying his hair after a shower waiting for Lyn who is now taking hers. Since a month ago, she started to let her husband take his shower first because she doesn’t want him to wait longer for his turn. It is because of her limitation of movement as the baby is getting bigger, she enjoys taking her time in the bathroom. Rushed shower is definitely a no-no for her. They just went home from having a family dinner with her family at a well-known seafood restaurant that he booked. It is their very first complete family dinner in Korea. There were a lot to update about what is happening back in her country. But the most interesting one is Lyn’s boutique that she started before she came to Korea almost three years ago. Kyungsoo only knew about its existence last year when Sophea talked about it with his wife few weeks before they left. Lyn has Sophea monitoring her business back at home while she is working on it from Korea. When he thought that he has known everything about his wife, he was surprised with this news. No wonder when she designed for their outfits for one of the performance during their wedding reception in Korea, she didn’t look like amateur. She has been doing it for a while. She also sketches for new design of clothings other than reading and writing when she has a free time. It still amazes him at how good she is dividing her time. He is smiling just thinking about his wife. He hears the sound of the door opening. There standing is his wife. She is looking at him with a sweet smile on her face. He approaches her immediately. “Darl, I think it is time.” She says to him. He looks at her scanning what she is talking about. He looks at her feet. Wet! “My water broke.” She says to him in a very calm tone. “What? Let’s go. We have to be in the hospital now.” He immediately grabs her hand and quickly walks to the door. All he has in his mind right now is they need to be in the hospital as soon as possible. She pulls her hand. He turns looking at her. “Seriously? In this?” She says pointing at the pink bathrobe she is wearing. Even he is still shirtless right now. He only wears his pants. “I am sorry. You should wear something. I have to wear something. Where is your outfit? Where is our closet? What should I do now?” He says one after another. She grabs both of his hands pulling him closer. “Stop talking. Slowly take a deep breath and let it go. Calm down. Do not panic.” She says to him. He does what she suggests. He starts to collect his self again.

“Are you okay now?” Lyn asks her panic husband. Kyungsoo nods. “Okay, good. As I mentioned before, panicking and rushing are not something we should do when it is time for me to deliver our baby. Do you remember?” She reminds him. He now remembers. He slowly nods. “Good. Actually I have prepared ahead what I am going to wear on the day I become a mommy. And I also prepare your outfit too. Follow me.” She says holding his hand. They are now inside their wardrobe. She gives him the outfit she has prepared and she takes hers. “Now, you go to the bathroom and change into this and I am going to wear my clothes here.” She says to him. “Can I just change here?” He asks trying his hardest to stay calm. She looks at him. She knows how he is feeling right now. She smiles before nodding. They both change into their new outfits. Kyungsoo changes into his in just a minute while Lyn is taking her sweet time wearing her clothes and she moves to wear her shawl after applying some lotion on her skin. Her husband is standing leaning to the wall staring at her with a very confused expression. “Kyungsoo ssi, could you please pack me some sandwiches that we bought earlier? While I am here, you can help me do that so we are not wasting any time.” She gives him a mission to complete. “Are you sure you don’t need me here?” He asks in disbelief. “Right now? No, I am good.” She says applying some lip balm on her lips. “Okay, call me if you need anything.” He says as he is hesitating. She gives him an okay sign. He then runs out of their bedroom to pack what she asks him to. Lyn is smiling. She knows her body, the contraction is closing in gaps but she knows it is not time yet. She doesn’t want to spend a long time in the hospital waiting for the right time to push the baby out. That is why she is trying to buy the time as long as she can. She needs to know how to deal with the panic husband well. Living with him for the past years, she thinks she knows what she can do with him.

“Sweetheart?” Kyungsoo runs back into their bedroom. “Darl, can we talk for a while?” Lyn asks him something that he doesn’t expect from a pregnant woman who already has her water broken. “Right now?” He asks for a confirmation. She nods as she holds his hand leaving the room. They are now in their living room. “This is going to be the final moment that you only have me in your life. This is the last time of the two of us going to live in this house. After this, our life will be hectic with newborn baby. I just want you to know that you have done well enough to give me the best experience of becoming a girlfriend and a wife, to be loved endlessly by a very caring boyfriend and a protective husband and I feel so appreciated. Thank you so much. After this, I am not only going to be your wife, but I am also going to be a mommy to your baby, our baby, so my used to be flexible time only for you won’t be the same. I just want to apologize now if my focus and time are more to the baby after this. I believe I need time to adjust to this change. But I am not going to neglect you, don’t worry because you matter in my life. You are my happiness, you are my life. You own my heaven. Once I am settled with the new environment of this new world of motherhood, I am going to be like a wife I used to be. I am going to be a wife that can make you happy in and out. Okay Kyungsoo ssi?” She manages to deliver what she has been wanted to share with him. He pulls her into a tight hug crying. He is touched by her beautiful words. “Sweetheart, we are in this together. We are going to enter this world of parenthood hand in hand. We are a team. I am going to reach you out when you can’t. I’ll be here by your side with our baby completing us. For me, you will always be the wonderful wife that I married almost three years ago. You always make me feel so special about myself as your husband. And I can’t wait to feel more special when I become the daddy of our little one. I love you so much sweetheart. Thank you so much for loving me. Your love is the most precious thing I have ever owned in this world. I love you Natasha Lyn, you are my one and only beautiful wife, the mother of not only this little one but more in the future if God wills.” He says approaching her. He has his hands cupping her face left and right as he is bending down to claim her lips. It is the one final kiss from a husband to his wife before they become parents. She is glad because Kyungsoo seems to be calmer now. The plan works thankfully.

Lyn is eating her second sandwich deliciously while Kyungsoo is driving them to the private hospital where she has been regularly having monthly pregnancy checkups. She has her own personal doctor who is responsible to look after her and the baby. She immediately went for a female doctor named Dr Yoon as she is Dr Park’s bestfriend. Thankfully the traffic is fine though it is the weekend. He keeps on looking at his wife. She looks so calm as if she has been in this situation before. “Do you want a bite darl?” She asks him as she realizes he takes a glance at her a few times. “Nope, I am good.” He replies. They will be arriving at the hospital in ten minutes. “Are you surprised as why I am eating a lot right now?” She asks him. He is surprised as she sure knows what is in his mind. “I need energy to push later. If I don’t eat anything, where will I get that strength to deliver our baby? So stop being weird about me. By the way, there is one more sandwich left. You should eat it later in the hospital. You also need energy to support me in there.” She says to him finishing the sandwich in her hand. He now understands why. He is smiling at his wife. Every strange action that she makes whether it is big or small, it always has a logic reason behind it. At 11.20 pm, they have finally arrived at the hospital. The medical team are ready to get her. Kyungsoo made a call informing them that they were on their way to the hospital that is why they are already waiting. Lyn sits on the wheelchair and she is brought to the room they specially booked for the delivery. Kyungsoo follows them behind bringing two bags prepared for today. And also the sandwich left by his wife. Lyn is now lying on the bed. Every machine in the room is beeping informing them the condition of the mommy and the baby. Since she is normal and not having any complication during the pregnancy, she is fine to deliver the baby naturally. She is happy with that news. The contraction is getting stronger and closer in gap. It is almost time to deliver now. Dr Yoon checks the opening. It is already 6cm. She has to wait for a bit before she can start pushing. “It won’t be long until you meet the baby, Lyn. I am expecting in the next hour, the baby will be here already.” Dr Park says to her. She is here to give her support too. Dr Yoon called her earlier telling her that Lyn was on her way to the hospital. So here she is, Nurse Kim is on her way.

Kyungsoo comes to accompany his wife after he is done informing their family. Thank goodness they are still awake. He didn’t get to update them earlier because he was too panic to think wisely. Now he understands why she didn’t want to go straight away to the hospital after the water broke. Every minutes of waiting to deliver the baby will be too exhausting for them especially his wife. He is glad that he didn’t insist to leave for the hospital when she told him that her water broke. For sure she knows the best how to calm him down. It is as if he is under her magic spell. That is one of the superpowers she has on him. His wife who is now in a battle field to deliver the love of their life, she looks super calm handling the contractions. She doesn’t say much but just facing it well. He holds her hand tight as he is kissing her forehead for a few times giving her the support she needs. She has her eyes close tight. He knows that she is having another contraction right now. “Are you okay sweetheart?” He asks her. She opens her eyes looking at the worried husband. She nods as she gives him a small smile. She looks a little pale. It is because of the pain she is having right now. “I am here with you.” He says kissing her cheek. “What time is it now?” She asks him holding his hand tighter. “It is ten minutes before midnight sweetheart.” He answers. She nods. “I think the baby will be here when the date changes to tomorrow. Don’t you think?” She says to her husband. “Why do you think so? You’re not feeling it yet?” He replies with a question. She nods as she is smiling. He wipes the sweat on her face. It is obvious that she is in a major pain right now. “Did you eat your sandwich?” She asks him. “I did but only half of it. I could not finish it. My appetite is gone. It was more like shoving the sandwich in my mouth. It was tasteless.” He answers honestly. She giggles. “Well that is enough to cheer me up later.” She says looking at her good looking husband. “I am good sweetheart.” He says to her. “Do you have the baby’s name ready?” She asks him. He nods. “Do you want to know now?” He asks. She shakes her head. “Nope, I want to wait until the baby is here. Please be patient daddy. Stay calm and do not forget baby’s name.” She says teasing the pretending to be calm husband. Everyone is the room is surprised to see how calm she is right now. She even has a cute conversation with her husband.

“Lyn ssi, are you okay? Do you want to drink something?” Dr Yoon asks Lyn as she looks a little bit pale right now. She looks at her doctor. “Can I?” She asks. She immediately nods. “Yes, of course.” She replies. Kyungsoo helps her drinking the warm honey water he packed from home right away. “Thank you. Why do you look so pale?” She asks her husband. He shakes is head. “I don’t like seeing you in pain sweetheart. I feel so guilty for making you go through this battle alone.” He says to her resting his forehead on hers. He is quietly crying. He can’t help it. “Aigoo, I am not alone. You are here with me. I am fine. Don’t worry. Just stay by my side, this is more than enough. I am just thankful that you are not afraid of blood. It is a good job darl.” She says convincing him that she is in a very good state. “Kyungsoo ssi, Lyn is a very strong girl. So you also need to be strong to give her more support. Everything is going to be just fine.” Nurse Kim says to him. He nods. “I am strong sweetheart. I am strong for you.” He says to his pretty wife. She smiles before frowning closing her eyes tight. She holds her husband’s hand tight. “Let me check the opening again.” Dr Yoon says as she is taking her position. She looks surprised to see what is in front of her eyes. “It is time!” She says as all the nurses are on their spots for the mission. Nurse Kim comes to stand on Lyn’s left with Kyungsoo on Lyn’s right side from the beginning. Dr Park is next to her bestfriend. Lyn is getting herself ready to push. She is using the breathing techniques that she has learnt from the classes she attended. She has been applying all the information she got from the classes in induring the pain of contractions and now it is time to apply it on the pushing. This time the pain is the massive one. She tries her hardest not to be defeated by it. “On three, you can push the hardest that you can, Lyn ssi. One, two, three. Push! Push!” Dr Yoon directs her. Lyn gathers her energy and she starts pushing the best she can but the baby is still not there. “Okay, relax. Take a deep breath, let it go. We can try again. I can already see the baby’s head. Are you ready mommy?” Dr Yoon says to her. She nods smiling. “Okay, one, two, three. Push!” Lyn again pushes for the second time but this time, she puts more strength on it. “There you go. Well done Lyn ssi!” She can hear the sound of her crying baby for a few seconds before it fades away. It seems like the baby is announcing its arriva by that little crying. Lyn takes a deep breath before letting it out slowly. She is relieved that their first born is finally here. “Good job sweetheart. That was so cool. I love you so much.” Kyungsoo whispers to his wife. He gives her a kiss on her lips. “That is our first kiss after becoming parents.” He says to her. She smiles. The nurses are cleaning the baby and do all the procedure for the new born. “Born at 00.06 on the 10th of October of 2020, weighing 3.5kg, congratulation, it is a boy.” Dr Park announces. The parents are all smiling looking at their baby. They are beyond thankful for this gift. “We have a boy sweetheart.” He says to his wife. She nods before she starts frowning again. “What’s wrong Lyn?” He asks looking so worried. “It is painful.” She says in a very low voice but still he can hear it. “Doctor! My wife!” Kyungsoo asks for their help.

Dr Yoon and Dr Park turn around looking at Kyungsoo. They then focus on the mommy. “Doctor, I think Lyn ssi is having another baby.” The nurse who is now cleaning Lyn informs the doctor as she can see something. “What???” Everyone doesn’t expect that. Dr Yoon immediately takes her position back replacing the nurse. She looks at it herself and the nurse is not lying. ‘This is impossible.’ She says in her heart. She is surprised but she needs to compose herself and starts acting like a professional doctor. “Lyn ssi, you did great just now. I know you’re exhausted but I need you to stay with me. We are going to do everything all over again. You’re having another baby. Push on my count, okay?” She confirms it to the couple. Kyungsoo is surprised. Lyn is not that surprised. She nods giving her full attention to the doctor. She is breathing steadily. “Sweetheart, you can do it. I am here with you.” Kyungsoo says kissing her hand. “Okay, one, two, three. Push! Push!” Another quietly crying baby is born to the world. Thank goodness she doesn’t need to do it twice. She doesn’t have any enough energy left. Everyone in the room is surprised to see the second baby arrival from the same mommy. “Born at 00.12 on the 10th of October of 2020, weighing 3.5kg, the surprise is a baby girl. Congratulation! Lyn ssi, Kyungsoo ssi, you are now officially parents of a pair of twins, a handsome baby boy and a beautiful baby girl.” Dr Yoon says to the couple. It is a miracle. For the past five months that they have been coming for regular check ups, she never saw any signs of Lyn carrying twins. That is why they are only preparing for the arrival of one baby but one of the nurses mistakenly brought another crib that it makes two of them in the room. It is just perfect. Thanks for the unexpected mistake, the baby girl has a place to lie. “Sweetheart, we also have a girl now. What a surprise!” Kyungsoo says to the wife who just went for a battle to deliver his kids as he looks at the expert nurses taking care of the babies. Yeah, he can say kids now because he is now a daddy to a baby boy and also a baby girl. “Sweetheart?” He calls her but she is not responding. She has both of her eyes closely tight. He tries to wake her up but she is not moving at all. “Lyn?? Lyn??? Sweetheart?” He calls her over and over again. She doesn’t respond. Dr Park comes to check. She is surprised to see the unconscious new mommy. “Please move for a while.” She says to Kyungsoo but he refuses. He doesn’t want to leave her side. She moves to the other side of Lyn. She checks her pulse and everything. She is frowning. “What is wrong with my wife Dr Park?” He asks her crying. She keeps her eyes on her without saying anything. She checks her pulse again to confirm.
