After 10 months working in SM, the busy hectic working schedules seem to be normal to Lyn. Sometimes she spends the whole day in her office working on translating and video conference meetings with the abroad teams or with companies which are interested in working with EXO. There are times when she has to follow EXO to their filming sets or interviews to interpret and translate for them. At times like this, it normally takes them hours to wrap up. That is why skipping meal is not something new to her. Plus she can’t eat everything that is served for them. As a Muslim, she needs to watch what she intakes. The safest meals for her are salads. Her favourites are avocado salads and salmon salads. And she always makes sure she fills her office mini refrigerator with varieties of chocolate bars and flavoured milk. So that when she is hungry, she can just grab them. She always has a small bag of candies and energy bars and a bottle of mineral water in her bag. She doesn’t want to repeat the moment when she almost fainted because of her low sugar the second month she started working. Since then, chocolates have been her favourite.

She is in her office busy studying a file with a paper work for the upcoming Music Bank in Thailand which will be held the next month. EXO is invited to participate. After a meeting they did yesterday, they decided to accept the invitation. So Lyn is working on it right now. She wants to send them the answer the latest by tomorrow morning so that they can proceed with the preparation and everything. Her phone rings when she is reading the notes she made during the meeting yesterday. It is Jae Rin unnie. “Hello. Yes unnie?” Lyn greets her. “Lyn, can you come to the practice room like right now? I need you here.” She sounds worried. Lyn doesn’t ask more. She knows something is going on. “Okay unnie. I’ll be there in 5 minutes.” Lyn replies shortly and ends the call. She makes sure that she shuts the notebook down before leaving the office locked.

Seungjae and Jeongmin both stand up and run to her. They know that Lyn has no appointments for today; they are surprised to see Lyn is rushing to go somewhere. “Where are you going Princess? Is everything okay?” Seungjae asks her. She smiles at them. “Yes, I am totally fine. Jae Rin unnie just called me. She said that she needed me there in the practice room. So I am going there right now.” Lyn explains to them. “Oh, Okay. We’re going there with you.” Jeongmin says while turning off their computers. They bring along their small book and a pen. Just in case they need to jot something down. Lyn just stands there and waits for them. She normally tells them to just stay but they always insist to follow. That is why; she doesn’t say anything and just lets them do whatever they think right. It’s their job to be with her anyways.

They go to the fifth floor of the building where Jae Rin unnie is waiting. She smiles when she sees Lyn with her two assistants. “You don’t have to bring them along.” She says. “They want to come along, unnie. They will get mad at me if I don’t allow them to do so.” She says that looking at her already smiling assistants. “What’s up unnie? You sounded so serious on the phone. Why do you need me here?” Lyn asks her. Jae Rin claps her hand. “Oh, right! Do you know a song called ‘Perfect’? She asks Lyn. “Perfect by Ed Sheeran?” Lyn asks her back. “Yeah, that song. Do you know?” Jae Rin asks her again. “Yes. I know that song but I am more familiar with the cover version of it sung by Tyler Ward and Lisa Cimorelli. Why unnie?” Lyn asks. “Perfect! Here is the lyric. Come in inside.” Jae Rin gives Lyn a piece of paper with Perfect’s lyrics. Lyn follows Jae Rin inside. She sees someone sitting in front of the mirror looking down to the floor holding a piece of paper in his right hand. She is greeted by EXO members who are standing at one corner with Chanyeol holding his guitar. She doesn’t see Kyungsoo around.

“Here is the help! She will help you until you get the right emotion for the song.” Jae Rin says to them. Mr Noh looks at them with a very wide smile. He even gives her a thumb up. Suddenly the guy in front of the mirror looks at them. It’s Kyungsoo. He looks so surprised. “Lyn surprisingly knows the song. She can sing with you. Go practise with her Kyungsoo ya.” Jae Rin suggests. Lyn looks at Jae Rin with her big round eyes in disbelief. She feels like she misheard it or something. “Lyn, please help him. He has been practising for the past two hours but he couldn’t even pass the first verse. Please. Do me a favour.” Lyn looks at her then she looks at her husband. He looks like he doesn’t like the idea. “I don’t think I can help with the mood. It’s better for you to call Ahn So Ra instead. It’s a better choice.” Lyn suggests another idea which she thinks brilliant. Kyungsoo stands up and nods. “Yeah, I don’t want to practise with her. Call So Ra instead. Find her. I’ll practise with her.” Both Kyungsoo and Lyn look at Jae Rin with their hopeful eyes.

“Kyungsoo, you must be joking, right? Have you forgotten that So Ra can’t sing? If she can be any help, I won’t turn down your request and I won’t ask this busy girl to help you.” Jae Rin says to Kyungsoo. Mr Noh approaches them. “Just do it with Lyn. What is wrong with that? It’s just a practice. I am not asking you to do some funny business here.” Lyn doesn’t want to make thing worse. “Mr Noh, Jae Rin unnie, let’s not force him. It’s not helpful. Let’s just wait for Ahn So Ra. I think she will give him the support he needs. I personally don’t think he needs a duet partner but he needs the mutual feelings which I don’t think I can be any help. Keep looking for her please.” Lyn begs Jae Rin to call his missing girl friend. The room becomes so quiet after Lyn says that. “Please excuse me.” Lyn wants to leave. ‘When your husband needs someone else more than he needs you, you should know when to leave.’ She whispers to herself. She wants to open the door when she sees Ahn So Ra is standing there smiling. “Oppa! Are you looking for me? I’m here! Sorry I am late.” She pushes Lyn on her way to Kyungsoo. She pulls him into a hug. And standing there, Lyn the wife witnesses everything. Not only her but everybody in the room does. They keep on looking at the lovebirds and Lyn. As usual, Lyn looks so calm. To be honest, she doesn’t feel anything. She is used to it.

“Lyn, do you have a second?” Mr Noh stops her from leaving. She looks at him. “Yeah.” She answers. “Do you happen to know about ChenBaekXi (CBX) going to debut in Canada?” He asks her. Lyn nods with a smile. “Yes. I heard about it. Is it true?” She asks. “Well, it is still under planning stage. I just want to ask if you can help us with the paper work and everything. I am so sorry. I know you have a handful work right now but I don’t see anyone else better than you. Even CBX suggested you to work with them in this project.” He explains. “Honestly I am super busy right now but I think after all the current projects move to the next stage, I can make some time for CBX. I am actually happy to help because this is absolutely a meaningful project for them.” Lyn answers giving a positive answer to him. “CBX! You got her. She is in!” Mr Noh shares the news. All three of them are jumping around with joy. “Thank you so much for not rejecting us. We will work hard.” Chen says to Lyn. “You don’t have to say that. Anyways, congratulation guys!” Lyn gives them two thumbs up.

At one corner, Kyungsoo who is listening to the whole conversation can’t focus on his practice. He is still struggling. Ahn So Ra is not that helpful. She is struggling to follow the melody and to pronounce the lyrics. She tries her hardest not to show her weakness especially in front of Lyn. She knows how everybody loves Lyn. She is jealous of that. She is jealous of her getting all the attentions. She suddenly receives a call from her manager who is also a boyfriend of hers. ‘Thank God!” She whispers to herself answering the call. Actually she previously asked her manager to give her a call 15 minutes after she enters the room. She doesn’t want to waste her free time doing something that is not fun. She just wants to show people as if she cares about Kyungsoo. She plans to leave for another schedule. “Oh really? But I am helping Kyungsoo oppa here. Can’t you cancel the appointment? Aigoo. Ok then. I’ll be there in 5 minutes.” She ends the call. “Oppa, I am so sorry. I have to go. I didn’t know that I have another schedule this afternoon. I really want to help you here but I have no choice. My manager can’t cancel the appointment. I hope you understand.” Ahn So Ra explains to him. “It’s okay. I understand. Good luck!” He replies. She then leaves the room and gives Lyn a sharp stare.

“Lyn noona!” Chanyeol calls Lyn when he sees the discussion between her and Mr Noh has ended. Lyn looks at him and goes closer. “Yes Yeolie.” She looks at Chanyeol who looks worried. “Can you help me with the key? Actually I am going to perform ‘Perfect’ with Kyungsoo this Saturday. Only three days left and I haven’t practised a thing. I need someone to sing it for me, so that I can get the right rhythm and tempo. Do you have time? 10 minutes would do. Please help me.” He looks at her with his puppy eyes. Lyn takes a seat in front of him. “Shall we start?” She puts the lyrics’ paper in front of her. She waits for Chanyeol to give her the queue.
