Lyn wakes up super early to perform her dawn prayer. It’s Saturday today. It’s her off day. So she plans to do some regular weekend cleaning before preparing for her breakfast. She normally prepares simple late breakfast or brunch for herself on the weekends. She doesn’t go to the DoLin café today as she usually does. Mrs Do called her yesterday telling her not to come. She ordered her to take a good rest at home today. So Lyn just agreed to it. She knows how caring her parents in law are. So she decides that it’s a great day to do some cleaning. She is just wearing a simple green baby T-shirt with a grey pants as she doesn’t plan to go anywhere that morning. She just washed her face and changed to a new shirt. She plans to take a shower later as it is still cold. She will leave the apartment later in the afternoon for her weekly dancing and singing classes. She normally just wears comfortable outfits at home. She doesn’t have to really cover her body parts as she is only staying there with her husband. Though she feels like she is almost alone pretty much the whole time as Kyungsoo doesn’t really stay home. So she just wears whatever she wants.

Ten minutes passed eight in the morning; she goes out from her bedroom. She goes straight to the storage room to get the vacuum cleaner. She starts cleaning the living room. She opens the sliding door so that the fresh air can flow into the apartment. She wipes the coffee table that they normally use. Since she regularly cleans the apartment, there is nothing much to do. She goes to the kitchen and wipes the counter and puts everything back to its place. She also cleans the dining table and changes the dead flowers to the fresh ones she bought yesterday on her way home. This week she chose pink roses. Last week she bought the red ones. She tries to make sure the dining table is always decorated with a glass vase of fresh flowers.

She goes to the reading/movie room next. She opens the door to her favourite room. She smiles at the full shelf. All of her books are properly placed right there. She normally receives a parcel from her family every month. They never forget to send her the latest Malay and English novels of her choice. And because of that, Kyungsoo renovated the room and built a bigger shelf for her, so that she can place everything there. In another corner, Kyungsoo’s DVDs can be seen. He has his own space for them. Since he doesn’t get to go to the cinema these days, he just buys the DVDs instead and watches it at home. Sometimes he asks Lyn to accompany him watching the movie. If Lyn is not interested, she will just sit next to him reading her book. Kyungsoo normally doesn’t mind that as long as Lyn is next to him. At first, Lyn thought that it was weird as they were not a lovey dovey couple but then she realised maybe he just didn’t like to watch a movie by himself. Like if he watches it in the cinema, there are some other people watching it with him though they are literally strangers but at least, he is not alone. So if she is not busy, she will accompany him in the movie room. She puts back all the DVDs Kyungsoo watched last week. Kyungsoo watches almost every genres and he is not picky at all. His love for movie is pure. Lyn arranges all the small cushions on the sofa and cleans the whole area with the vacuum cleaner.

The final room that she wants to clean is her bedroom. Nothing much to clean as she never leaves her room in a mess. She is raised that way. She makes sure her room is clean before she goes to work every day. She just slightly uses the vacuum cleaner to clean the room. She goes to her bathroom and grabs the basket fills with her dirty laundry. She brings it to the laundry room, puts all the dirty laundry into the automatic washing machine and presses the start button after putting the detergent in. She leaves the laundry room and goes back to her bedroom. She cleans the hallway in front of her bedroom and his with the vacuum cleaner. When she is sure that everything is cleaned already, she grabs the vacuum cleaner, she wants to put it back in the storage room. On her way there, she hears a ‘click’ sound comes from Kyungsoo’s bedroom. A second later, her eyes catch Kyungsoo who is rubbing his eye with his hand as a sign that he just woke up. She is surprised as she doesn’t know that he is home. She wants to greet him but then she trips on something and unfortunately she feels like the gravity is pulling her backwards. She closes her eyes tight getting ready to feel the pain.

Five seconds later, she still doesn’t feel the pain, though she is so sure that she is supposed to be lying on the hard floor right now. She carefully opens her eyes. Again, she is surprised to see Kyungsoo’s face right in front of her. She believes this is the closest they have been to each other since the first day they got married 11 months ago. They are literally close. It’s not even an inch space between them. Kyungsoo looks as surprised as she does. ‘What is going on?’ She whispers to herself. ‘Oh, I was about to fall but what am I doing right now? Did he catch me? Impossible.’ She tries to deny it. Realising how Kyungsoo is holding her waist really tight making sure she doesn’t fall and the way her two hands are tightly locking at the back of his neck, it is definitely possible. This is awkward. This is embarrassing. Aigoo. Lyn tries to stand up but she slips and almost falls again. Kyungsoo doesn’t have other options, so he just pulls her into his arms. “I got you sweetheart. I got you. You’re safe now.” He says it slowly to her still holding her in his arms. She doesn’t reject him. She doesn’t hug him back. She just stays still. She is staying still in her husband’s arms for the very first time. She can hear his heart beating clearly. It is as if he just finished a marathon.

“Kyungsoo ssi?” Lyn calls her husband who doesn’t seem to let her go any minutes. He brings his right hand to her face while his left hand is still resting on her waist. “Kwenchana? (Are you okay?)” He asks her looking so worried. Lyn nods. “Ne, kwenchana yo. (Yes, I am okay.)” She replies trying to take a step back. Luckily he lets her go. “Thank you so much for saving me from getting crushed to the floor.” She says to him. She just can’t imagine if he was not there. She can be careless at times. He nods. He still looks deep into her eyes. She looks at him but looks away almost right away. She doesn’t feel comfortable being stared like that. It is creepy. She clears . “I didn’t know that you’re home. I am so sorry for making an annoying noise early in the morning. You must all awake now because of me.” Lyn apologizes. Home which is the apartment they are staying together for the past 11 months, Lyn technically stays in it mostly by herself as Kyungsoo prefers staying in the dorm especially with his busy packed activities. So Lyn is used to be alone during the weekends plus when she checked last midnight, she was still alone.

“No, it’s okay. It’s not your fault. I finished filming around 2.30am, so I decided to just spend the night here since it was closer than going back to the dorm. Plus I don’t have any scheduled gigs for today, so I can just relax and take a rest all day long today. All of us are given a day off tomorrow too.” He explains. Lyn nods. She takes a glance at the wall clock. It is already 10 in the morning. She touches her nose. “So you’re staying home the whole day today? You don’t have any plans to go out or something?” Lyn asks him. He nods. “I don’t think I want to go out today. I am staying the whole day. I’ll have a hectic schedule starting from next week. So I am going to prepare myself mentally and physically for that.” Lyn looks at him smiling. She is aware that they will start preparing for their new tour this coming week. They need to learn new choreography for their new stages. They will be super busy. As far as sh
