Kyungsoo looks at his wife who looks so excited talking about her life in Korea. ‘Thank God she is fine living here.’ He whispers to himself. Actually he is been worried about that. He doesn’t really know what she feels having to leave her family and her country as she has to move here where her family in law is. But she seems to be adapting very well here. Maybe it is because she has been studying abroad since she was young. “I can see how much you love Korea. May I know why?” He asks to his smiling wife. She puts her cup of hot peach tea back to the coffee table. She thinks for a while and pouts. She is not aware of that habit of hers when she is thinking deeply. One minute later, she looks at her husband with a confused look. “I’ve never really thought about that but when you asked me just now, I feel like I don’t really have a reason to love Korea. It just feels like a home to me though it’s only my second time coming here after my first alone trip last year. It somehow offers me a sense of calmness and safety. In my country, I always have a company when I go out, I am not used to going out alone by myself but here, I don’t feel like I need to be with someone. I can just randomly having a walk at any parks if I want to. It’s not that my country is harmful but my instinct shows me I am safe here. So I don’t know how I should answer your question, Kyungsoo ssi.” She tries her best to give an acceptable answer. Kyungsoo nods.

“Do you have anything that you’re not comfortable with living in Korea? Is there anything that you find it hard to understand or adapt to?” He asks another question. He feels like being alone with his wife like this is so rare, so he will grab the chance to get to know more about what she has in her mind. She pouts again. Kyungsoo just smiles looking at her. He understands because he has the same habit. “I think my only problem was to get to know more about the culture because I didn’t get the time to prepare myself to be a part of Korean family. It’s actually my fault for not wanting to know that I was about to marry a Korean gentleman. The first couple of months were difficult but today, I know everything. So I don’t really find anything uncomfortable here because it’s definitely up to me. The available options are only two. It’s either to openly accept the changes and adapt myself to the new environment and be comfortable with it or to keep rejecting the changes and be uncomfortable. As you can see today, I chose the first option and I am happy with my choice.” She sincerely opens her heart up talking to her husband tonight. It surprises her how comfortable she is speaking about non work related things with him. He is not surprised with her smart answer. He is proud of her. He smiles at her sipping on his unfinished Iced Americano. 

“Shall we go now? We have like half an hour to go before the movie. Let’s go to that cute store you talked about earlier. Maybe you can grab some few things there.” Kyungsoo suggests. Lyn just nods and follows her husband leaving the café. Kyungsoo grabs her right hand and holds it tight like earlier. They enter the store and are welcomed by two friendly workers. They bow to both Kyungsoo and Lyn. It is definitely a cute accessories heaven. For those who love accessories, they should go to that store. From hair pins to rings, they have them all. Kyungsoo pulls her to a hair pins section as he realizes that Lyn loves collecting it. And as he has expected, Lyn drops her jaw looking at the variety of choices. He lets go her hand so that it won’t limit her movement to choose the hair pins comfortably. Lyn is happy to be let go. It’s time to choose. She jumps a little bit when Kyungsoo suddenly hugs her from behind. His two arms are literally locking on her waist. She looks for his face but he only smiles as if it is nothing. It might be normal in Kyungsoo’s culture but it’s definitely new to Lyn’s dictionary. When she sees the smile on his face, she focuses back on choosing the hair pins. She feels like the faster the process is, the sooner Kyungsoo will let her go. She chooses three cute pins, one with a silver star, the second one with a ladybug on it and the last one with a pink rose on it. Kyungsoo grabs two more. One with a heart shaped flowers and another is the one with a written ‘Princess’ on it. “Are you done choosing, Lyn?” He asks with is left hand holding her right. Lyn just nods. He takes the three hair pins from Lyn’s hand and goes to the cashier to pay. She wants to stop him but when she sees how excited he is, she just lets him be. “Done, let’s go.” He holds her right hand and leaves the store with a cute pink mini paper bag. 

He looks at the big digital clock at one of the stores in the mall. “I think it’s time for us to go to the cinema.” He says looking at his left where his wife is. Lyn only nods. They both go up to the sixth level of the mall where the cinema is. There are so many couples there waiting. Kyungsoo asks Lyn to sit on an empty green sofa. “Can you wait here for a while? I want to go get our tickets and buy some snacks for us.” He says standing in front of her. “Why don’t we just get them together?” Lyn suggests. He rejects it right away. “Just wait right here. I’ll be back in a few minutes.” He doesn’t wait for her reply and goes right away to the ticket box. Lyn looks around. It is such a pretty and cosy cinema like many seats are available in there for those who are still waiting for their movies to start. She looks at the snack bar. There is a lot to choose from. The varieties of drinks and foods are so massive. They also offer few special combos which is great. She also realizes that there is a bookstore on the same floor which is still open at that hour. She looks closely at the label on their class door. It says it opens from 9am until 3am during the weekend. She plans to go there after they finish watching the movie later. Their movie starts at 12.05 midnight. 

“Ok Lyn, shall we? We can go in now.” Kyungsoo who just arrives grabs Lyn’s hand. She is surprised because just few seconds ago when she looked at him, he was still talking to the staff at the ticket box. “I am sorry I surprised you.” He looks at her who is holding her stomach. “It’s okay. Let’s go.” Lyn says after calming herself. He holds her hand tight and leads the way to the cinema room no 6. One of the staffs helps them with their tickets. Kyungsoo chose seats number D5 and D6 which is perfect. They already are seated few seconds later. Lyn is actually excited to watch the movie because it’s been more than a year since the last time she watched one in the cinema. Someone suddenly comes bringing along a tray of snacks for them. He puts it in on the mini table in front of our seats. Oh, Kyungsoo chose a special couple seat which can be adjusted. It is a lot pricier than the normal seats but it is sure worth it because it is super comfortable complete with a mini blanket and cushion prepared on the seat. She looks around but she can see no one but them. “What movie are we going to watch, Kyungsoo ssi?” She asks Kyungsoo who is sipping on his Sprite. “It’s a movie called ‘True Love.” Just like its title, it’s about a couple who has to leave each other because of their family’s misunderstandings. I am sorry I chose this movie without asking you first.” He now looks concerned as he thought that Lyn might not like the movie. She shakes her head slowly and smiles at him. “I was just asking because no one is coming. I saw so many couples while waiting earlier. There must be more interesting movies that they would like to watch.” Lyn says to him. He only nods hiding his smile. The truth is, he has rented the whole cinema room no 6 because he wants to have a quiet movie night with his wife. So, they don’t have to be worried to get caught. He doesn’t want Lyn to have a chaotic life because of him. When he was waiting for Lyn at the dressing room earlier, he made few phone calls and he successfully rented this room. He talked to the staff at the ticket box earlier about the payment. As he rented the whole cinema, they are given a special treatment which is free snack bar for the night. 

The movie starts three minutes later. Kyungsoo helps Lyn adjusting her seat and his, they are relaxingly rest their bodies on the seat. He holds Lyn’s left shoulder in his arms asking her to rest her head on his shoulder. He holds her right hand with his. “Are you comfortable?” He asks whispering to her right ear. Lyn nods “Aren’t you cold?” He rubs her cold hand he is holding. “A little bit.” She honestly answers. “Wait a second.” He lets her go for a while. He then grabs the blanket and lays it on top of them. He goes back to where he was before. “Are you okay now?” He asks again. Lyn nods and smiles at him. “Thank you.” They both focus on the movie. He offers her a tissue paper when he realizes his sweater is getting wet because of her tears. “I am sorry.” She whispers. “It’s okay. I am good.” He says to her. The movie ends 1 hour
