“Sweetheart, please don’t leave me. I can’t live without you. What is happening to you?” Kyungsoo says holding her tight in his arm. She looks so pale. Everything that happened before, it flashes back and it is enough to scare him. He checks for her pulse. It is there but weaker than earlier. He is not ready to lose her after all that happened between them. “Do you happen to realize something is wrong with Lyn?” Jae Rin asks Jeongmin and Seungjae. “Nothing much but she has not been eating well since she started filming. Other than that, she never said anything. Should we give Doctor Park a call?” Jeongmin suggests. They all agree with his idea. He immediately gives her a call and tells her what happened. “She asks us to bring Lyn to their hospital.” He tells them. “I am driving there right now. Thank goodness the photoshoot today is here in Seoul.” Seungjae says to them. Seoul Hospital was the only place he could think of earlier when Jae Rin mentioned the word hospital. Kyungsoo is in his world right now. He looks at the unconscious wife with so many thoughts in his mind. He feels like he is a fail husband for not being able to detect something wrong with his own wife. They arrive in the hospital in no time as Seungjae really drives as fast as he can. They go to the emergency right away. Kyungsoo carries Lyn and the hospital team is already waiting with a stretcher to run her to the emergency theatre. She is brought there with Kyungsoo and Jae Rin following her behind. Seungjae and Jeongmin go to park their van. Dr Park and Nurse Kim are already waiting for them there. Both of them are surprised to see the obvious pale Lyn. “Please save my wife.” Kyungsoo says to them. “First of all, please wait here. We’ll do what we must. Nurse Kim will help you with the registration procedure. I’ll go inside to see what I can do.” Dr Park leaves to see Lyn inside. She hopes that whatever Nurse Kim mentioned to her earlier is really just a false alarm. They are thinking maybe the illness is coming back but it was hundred percent proven that Lyn was clean from any illness before she was allowed to leave the hospital months ago. She really hopes that it is just a mere fever.

Kyungsoo is looking so blank. He doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t have any idea what is going on. He falls on the floor as he doesn’t have any strength to stand on his feet. He is crying silently staring blankly at the floor. ‘God, what is wrong with my wife?’ He whispers. Jae Rin looks at him. She decides to do the registration procedure as she knows he won’t be able to do it in that shocking state. Seungjae and Jeongmin come few minutes later. “Did the doctor say anything?” They ask Jae Rin who is sitting on the chair outside the emergency theatre. It feels like a déjà vu. It feels like the scene of months ago is replaying again which is not something that they want to ever happen again. They believe Kyungsoo is having the same thought. They keep on praying that she is fine. An hour of waiting feels like a day. Dr Park goes out of the emergency theatre with a very serious face. She looks for Kyungsoo. He rushes to her followed by the other three. “Where is my wife? How is she?” He asks her. “She is still inside. We are going to move her to the ward now. I admitted her to a personal room like before. I just want to check one thing. Is there anything weird about her lately that you guys realized?” She asks them. “They shared earlier that she has not been eating well for the last few months. We thought it was normal because of her exhaustion from the tight schedule. She has been feeling unwell once in a while but it never became this bad. She told me it might be because of the weather and the lack of sleep. Did something happen to her?” Jae Rin asks her. Dr Park nods. Seeing that, all four of them take a step back. They are in denial. They are not ready for anything. “What actually happened? We realized there are some bruises on her arms and some on other parts of her body.” She asks for more explanation because the bruises are obvious and they still look new. “We have been filming for a movie for the past four months. The bruises came from all the action scenes she did herself. She told me not to worry about it because I made sure she would apply ointment on them regularly even I made sure to do it myself for her when she forgot to do so.” Kyungsoo shares the news with them because he is the only one who knows about the bruises. “What??? Action scenes? In her condition right now, it could harm her. OMG! I didn’t expect that.” She unknowingly raises her voice out of surprise. “What is wrong with her? Oh God, this is all my fault for not being attentive enough on my own wife.” He says shaking his head. “It is definitely your fault. She only has five more months.” Dr Park says to him with her serious tone. He falls on the floor crying when she shares with them what is actually wrong with her. They don’t expect that. Jae Rin takes her seat panting. Seungjae is resting his head on the wall. Jeongmin is holding onto the wall to make sure he doesn’t slip. They are blown away by the news that they least expected. They unknowingly cry.

Lyn who is still unconscious lying on the bed looking still pale, she is breathing in and out quietly. Dr Park said earlier that it would take her time to wake up because they intentionally put her to sleep so she can take enough rest. She is exhausted. She is drained. Kyungsoo is there sitting next to her holding her right hand tight. He keeps on kissing her hand with fallen tears on his cheeks that don’t seem to stop anytime soon. The news that is shared with them earlier really shocked him the most as he is the closest to her. He looks at his wife. He touches her covered hair before wiping his tears. He feels so guilty looking at the pale wife who looks so weak right now. If only he knew what happened, this could be avoided. That is what he is thinking. Lyn is disturbed by the touch on her head. She wants to open her eyes but the striking light is hurting her. It is still hard to open her eyes but she tries harder. “Sweetheart, are you awake now?” Kyungsoo realizes that she is slowly opening her eyes. She looks at him and she tries to smile. He kisses her on her forehead feeling thankful. “Water.” She says one word. She is seriously thirsty right now. She needs water. “Here, sip on it.” He gets a bottle of water with a straw in it. He helps her to drink it. “Thank you.” She says to him. She feels better now. He wipes before holding her hand again. “What happened to me?” She asks knowing that she in an unfamiliar space right now. It looks like a hospital. “You fainted in the van while waiting for me.” He tells her. “I did?” She asks again. He nods. She tries to get up from lying down. It is uncomfortable talking while lying down. “Do you want to sit?” He asks her. She nods. He helps her placing a pillow at her back so she can sit comfortably. “I am sorry, you must be very surprised to see me unconscious.” She says pulling him to sit on the bed in front of her. He still looks shocked. He starts to cry again holding her hands tight. “Aigoo. I am fine now. Maybe I was just too exhausted, that is why I fainted.” She tries to make him feel better. She smiles bitterly looking at the crying husband. She cups his face lovingly. “I am fine. Darl, please stop crying. I am okay now.” She says looking straight to his eyes wiping his tears. She pulls him into a warm hug. She pats his back hoping that he will stop crying soon.

“I am really sorry sweetheart. I didn’t know.” Kyungsoo says to Lyn with fallen tears. “Of course you didn’t know. I didn’t tell anyone that I felt so weak earlier today but I am fine now. It is not your fault.” Lyn says to him. He shakes his head. “No, not that one but I am also at fault for not knowing that my wife is unwell. I am really sorry sayang.” He says to her. She looks confused. As far as she knows, she doesn’t keep anything from him. “I am really sorry for not knowing that. I really am sorry.” He says it again. “What are you talking about? You didn’t know what?” She asks him pushing him away as she has no idea what he is talking about. “I am sorry I didn’t know that you are pregnant.” He says it out loud clearly. And that caught Lyn off guard. She is taken aback. “What??” She raises her voice unintentionally. “You’re four months pregnant. You’re in your second trimester right now. You didn’t know?” He says to her as she seems to be as surprised as he was when Dr Park announced it to them earlier. He literally fell on the floor out of surprise. She shakes her head and she starts crying very hard. He stops crying as he sees her response. The last time he saw her crying this hard was when she came back from the hospital after being diagnoised with the terminal illness. “I am really sorry sweetheart. It is all my fault.” He says kissing her hands repeatedly feeling so sorry. “Why are you sorry? What have you done?” She says still crying. “I never used protection when we were together. I am really sorry. That was so selfish of me.” He says looking at her. She is confused with his statement. “What are you talking about?” She asks him. “I am sorry I made you pregnant.” He says looking so guilty. “What is wrong with that? Ain’t I your wife? Aren’t you my husband? Aren’t we married?” She asks him multiple questions asking for a reason. “Aren’t you crying because you are not ready to have a baby?” He asks confidently. She looks really surprised by his question. “What?? No!!” She denies his assumption.

“So why are you crying sweetheart?” Kyungsoo asks wiping Lyn’s tears. That question makes her cry again. “OMG! I am really sorry.” He says holding her tight calming her down. It is weird to see this side of her but this is just a part of pregnancy he guesses. Lyn slightly pushes him as she wants to explain why. “You witnessed it yourself how I did all those dangerous demanding scenes for the movie, the harmful fighting scenes, the bouncy horse riding, I did them all not once but many times. Those activities are definitely not for pregnant women. Four months have passed but I was not even aware that the baby is here inside me. I didn’t take good care of my self, I didn’t eat properly because I lost my appetite since we started filming. I feel so guilty. But I also feel grateful because the baby is protected from any danger. I didn’t know how the baby survived with all those shaky extreme movements I made for the movie. It is definitely God’s mercy for the baby to stay protected.” Lyn says to him sharing her feeling. “Sweetheart, it is definitely God’s power for the baby to survive. And I also believe that she/he was holding onto mommy’s tummy tightly when you were doing all the action scenes. I think the baby follows you in that aspect.” He says to her unknowingly making her curious of what he is trying to say. “What do you mean by that?” She asks him demanding for a quick explanation. He touches her face. “We’re going to be parents to a strong-will baby who doesn’t know how to give up. A baby who only knows how to keep fighting and stay strong just like you, the mommy who is carrying the baby.” He shares what he is thinking. She looks at him with her two teary eyes. She is having a mixed feeling right now. “I hope the baby is fine and it didn’t affect her/him in any ways. The baby is safe, right?” She asks him. He nods. “I am hundred percent sure sayang. Dr Park told us earlier. She said the baby is strong just like the mommy.” He says to her. She is relieved. She looks down at her still flat tummy.

“I am really sorry little one, I had no idea that you were already here when I did all those dangerous movements. I am going to do well in the future. I will take good care of myself for you. Thank you so much for letting me finished my works completely. Why do I feel like you are copying how I popped in daddy’s life? You announce your presence in a very cute way. You chose today because mommy is free now, didn’t you? My smart little one, I want to thank you for holding on. I hope you will always be a strong healthy baby. Mommy loves you so much.” Lyn says rubbing her stomach. Kyungsoo is smiling looking at how adorable she is talking to their baby. “I was scared when I saw you crying really hard earlier. I thought you were not ready to be the mother of my children.” He says placing his hand on her stomach feeling the baby. “It is such a beautiful gift for me, for us as a married couple, it is everyone’s dream to have kids of their own. And ours happen to come in a very unexpected way because we never planned. I believe the mommy side of me has always been ready since the first day I got married to you. It is just natural for a woman to have that feeling. So don’t ever think that way. I am grateful for being given the opportunity to carry my own child. How are you feeling? You’re going to be a daddy sooner than you think.” She says before asking him a question. He pulls her into a hug before kissing her forehead. He is looking at her affectionately. “I almost fainted when I was told that we are going to be parents in five more months. I was really surprised but I was really thrilled to hear that wonderful news. I didn’t expect it to be this soon because you know how we just started living as real married couple but I am thankful for this beautiful gift. Little one, daddy wants to thank you for holding on strongly. Daddy will take a good care of you and mommy. If you want to eat anything, please let mommy know. Daddy will look for it for you. Daddy can’t wait to see you. Sweetheart, did we just choose our nicknames for the baby? I am daddy and you’re mommy?” He asks looking at her with his hand resting on her stomach rubbing it lovingly. “I don’t know. We might change it to something else later. It is just something that came up in my mind.” She says smiling.

“Are you really ready to be a daddy at this age?” Lyn asks her husband who is sitting in front of her. “Sweetheart, I am actually eager to be the daddy of your kids, my kids, our kids. I have been ready since the day I proposed to you to be my wife. But I guess I was too slow to make a move. Actually few weeks ago, I thought to myself on how to talk to you about having a baby since we would be done with the filming soon. I wanted to know what your point of view on this topic. It is important for me to know what you feel because you are the one who is going to carry the baby. It is your body, I can’t force you to carry my child without asking for your opinion, though I can’t wait to see the mini us. I really want to be the father of our kids. Who knows that the few times that I showed my love to you before we started filming actually made the baby. Sweetheart, I am more than ready to be the daddy of our children. This is like one of my biggest dreams since I met you at the airport, the day I knew that you were real. I could only see you as the mother of my kids. This is such a beautiful gift for us. I plan but God plans the best. He sure knows when it is the perfect time for us to be parents.” Kyungsoo answers her simple question sincerely. Lyn is touched by the way of his thinking. She doesn’t have any idea that he has been looking forward to becoming a daddy. She smiles looking at the adorable side of her husband. “Darl, I can see the daddy side in you. And I believe that you are going to be a cool daddy to our kids. I am honestly touched by your honest answer. Thanks for being so considerate. Thanks
