“Lyn, have you prayed?” Kyungsoo asks Lyn when she opens the door for him. He looks at Lyn who is already in her outfit he chose earlier. “Nope, I haven’t. I am going to pray after I wear my shawl.” She says to him. Lyn is yet to cover her hair. He looks at her long flowy hair. She indeed looks beautiful with her hair let down. He is thankful that this side of her can only be witnessed by him. “Me too, I haven’t prayed yet. I was thinking maybe we can pray together.” He suggests. Lyn nods. “Yeah, sure. It is a good idea.” She doesn’t say no to his suggestion. “Go wear your shawl now. I’ll wait for you in my bedroom. Let’s pray there. Okay?” He asks if it is okay for her. Lyn nods. “Okay, I’ll be there in a few minutes.” Lyn leaves her door open and moves to her vanity to wear her shawl covering her hair. She makes sure she ties her long hair before wearing the shawl. Kyungsoo who is still by the door looks at her. Lyn doesn’t take long to wear the shawl. Using few pins, the shawl is prettily covering her hair and neck. No skins are visible except for her face and her two hands. She goes to get her socks on the drawer. She wears it while sitting on the sofa. She grabs her handbag and puts everything inside. He goes back to his bedroom in front of hers. He sits on his bed waiting for his wife. He is actually nervous because this is going to be the second time they will be sharing a room after a year. They only shared their bedroom together back before Lyn moved to Korea. To be exact, few days after they were officially married, that was their first time.  They never stay at his parents’ home. They normally just went there to visit and left without spending the night there together. That is why, Kyungsoo was surprised when Lyn agreed to his suggestion to spend the night there without any rejections. She agreed to it almost right away. Does she forget that they have to share the bedroom? Or she actually doesn’t care about sharing the room together because Kyungsoo won’t do anything to her as he doesn’t love her? If only she knew about the opposite fact, will she agree with his suggestion? Kyungsoo thinks to himself.

Lyn knocks on her husband’s bedroom’s door. She slowly pushes it. She can see Kyungsoo is looking at her. “Can I come in?” She asks for his permission. “Yeah, of course. That shawl really looks good on you.” He compliments her. He wants to say that she looks beautiful in that shawl but it doesn’t come out the way he wanted. He rubs his head. “Thanks. It’s the shawl you bought me last month. It’s my first time wearing it. The material is very nice.” Yeah, Kyungsoo sometimes bought her some new shirts, dresses and shawls. He is really good at choosing them and it amazes her each and every time. “Shall we?” He asks. Lyn nods. They both get ready to pray led by Kyungsoo. Lyn is standing at the back. The prayer ends about 7 minutes later. Kyungsoo reads some special prayers right after that and he turns back to where Lyn is. He looks at her calmly. Lyn slowly pulls his right hand with hers and plants a small kiss on it. Kyungsoo does the same thing to her soon after that. It’s their normal routines after praying together. He sits in front of her and pulls both of her hands. Lyn is just staying still. At times like this, she just goes with the flow. They still have 15 minutes before 5pm. Kyungsoo wants to have a simple conversation with her. “Lyn, is it hard for you to live in Korea as a Muslim?” He starts the conversation. Lyn is surprised to be asked a serious question by him. She looks at her hands hold by her husband. She shakes her head. “Nope, it’s not as hard as I thought it would be. Honestly before I came here the first time which was few months before we got married, during my first travel to Korea, I thought people would see and treat me differently. I was scared at first especially because I was all alone back then but when I arrived, people treated me just like they treated other Koreans. I am not sure if it is because I speak the language but even when I spoke in English, they tried to help me out. I think it’s all about people’s perspectives. I mean anywhere in the world, you will meet people who judge you for what you are wearing and who you really are and some just treat you like you are a part of them. I’ve been to other different countries when I was studying abroad, I spent around 7 years outside, I’ve met those people who enjoy judging but they are only a small group of people. A very tiny one. Majority treat others well. So the same theory applies here too but this time, I think I can count the ‘mean’ people with one hand. I rarely meet them, I am so thankful for that. When I saw them, I normally just ignored them because I don’t want to ruin my day plus I don’t want to waste my time arguing. It is not worth it.” Lyn shares what she feels about it.  

Kyungsoo nods. He is glad that he is married to a very calm and smart wife as she usually knows how to tackle problems with some unthinkable ways. He feels relief. “Kyungsoo ssi I really want to thank you for being a very hardworking Muslim. I know it must be difficult for you to change your way of life but you never stop trying. I am so grateful for that. Thank you so much for being a responsible husband.” Lyn finally manages to say that to him. She has always wanted to tell him that. He smiles at her. He is touched as him working hard is acknowledged by his wife. He still remembers how he struggled during the first day of Ramadhan, the fasting month. He felt like dying but thankfully Lyn thought her some ‘know hows’ to handle the hunger. That was his biggest challenge since he reverted. After fasting for 30 days straight, he felt like he got healthier. Only then he realized the good benefits of fasting. He even taught other EXO members to fast. Some succeeded to fast the whole day and some others managed to last for half a day. That was hilarious but a very new experience for them. “Thanks for being so supportive. You have never tired of answering my questions which sometimes can be silly.” Kyungsoo says to his wife. Lyn smiles at him. “I am always available to help.” She shortly replies. “Okay, shall we go now? Do you have something else to put inside the luggage?” He asks her. She nods shyly. “Yeah, I forgot to put something in.” She answers. “Go get it. I’ll bring the luggage out in the living room and after that we can leave after I check everything.” He says to her. Lyn nods and leaves the room. 

Kyungsoo parks his car near the entrance of the ‘Happiness Mart.’ As he said earlier, he is going to do the shopping with Lyn. She is wearing a dark blue long dress chosen by Kyungsoo. She matches it with a glittery grey shawl. She is wearing her three inch black and white polka dot heels. Kyungsoo who is wearing a dark blue sweater, dark grey pants and black sneakers grabbing a shopping cart before entering the mart. They are welcomed by the workers. In one glance, people know that they are married couple because of what they are wearing. Kyungsoo convinces Lyn that no one will recognise him because he covers her face with his black hat and his glasses. They go to the fresh fruits section first. Lyn wants to get some apples for the pies she is making for tomorrow. Kyungsoo is standing next to her holding the cart. She chooses the apple carefully. Her husband takes his phone out and snaps few pictures of her. Basically Kyungsoo is enjoying his time going shopping with his wife. This is his first experience. It’s not that he never accompanied his mother going to the mart but this is his first time coming here with another woman who is his wife. It feels totally different. It is exciting and fluttering at the same time as he feels like they are a normal couple right now.  He never feels this way before. She pushes the cart as she is done getting everything in that section. He follows behind. They move to where baking section is. She looks for the flour she normally uses. Kyungsoo looks for the paper plates and cups his mother asked them to buy. Thankfully it is in the same aisle where Lyn needs to be. He sure doesn’t want to leave his wife all by herself. Lyn checks her shopping lists to make sure she already grabs everything. She nods. “I am done. Do you need to get something else Nampyeon nim (Mr Husband)?” She asks her surprised looking husband. “Why are you calling me that?” He asks his wife. “I am afraid that people will overhear if I call you with your name like usual. Isn’t it cute, Nampyeon nim?” She smiles at him after whispering to him. ‘Oh God, help me. My beautiful wife is killing me with her smile.’ Kyungsoo says in his heart. “Yeah, it is super cute. This Nampyeon nim needs to get something. Come.” Kyungsoo says to her grabbing her hand.

“Let’s go to the snack section. I want to grab some chocolates and chips for the kids tomorrow. The DoLin’s staffs normally bring their family members along when we make a party at home. So there will be some kids too.” Kyungsoo notifies his wife. She smiles widely. Kyungsoo knows Lyn loves kids. When he saw her interacted with her nieces and nephews, he knew that Lyn is going to be a wonderful mom in the future. Of course she is going to be the mother of his future children. “Oh, really? Should we get some ice creams too? Or maybe some candies?” She suggests in a very excited tone. “Yeah, good idea. Let’s find some chocolates first and we’ll go to the ice cream section later.” Lyn nods. She agrees with his suggestion. She then leaves Kyungsoo behind and goes to the next aisle where the snack section is. Kyungsoo only shakes his head smiling and slowly pushing th
