Midnight Picnic
Love at Hope AcademyYuri’s POV:
I woke up to repeated rings of my phone and I grabbed my phone off the bedside table and disconnected the call. A few moments later the phone rang again and I looked at the caller ID: Minho. I answered the phone and said sleepily:
“What’s up Minho? Why are you ringing me at this time; don’t you know it’s midnight?”
“Did you forget? You have a friendly gathering with me at about... now.” I bolted up out of bed and said:
“Where are you right now? Mianhe, I’m just coming to meet you.” I could hear him chuckle into the phone as he said:
“Take your time I’m just outside.” I walked over to the balcony window and brushed through the gauzy white curtains. I looked down to see Minho holding a picnic basket and waving at me. I cut off the phone and ran inside. I put on some comfortable shorts and put on a blue t-shirt with short sleeves. I let my hair loose and slipped on some slippers before I tip-toed outside. I saw Minho standing there smiling widely.
“Mianhe Mihno. I was so badly asleep I guess I just got lost in dreamland.” I looked down to the ground in embarrassment. He chuckled and said:
“It’s ok Yuri; you’re here now.” I smiled at him in thanks and allowed him to lead me along the beach to a secluded spot away from the dorms. He set down the blanket and set out food he had prepared. He’d prepared a lot of food.
We sat down and I ate hungrily. I was absolutely starving and to be honest I deserved to eat a lot of food. Hey, I’d almost drowned today! It’s kind of weird how I could think about it so casually. I was wolfing down the food when I caught Minho looking at me.
“Mwoh? What is it?” He chuckled again and shook his head.
“I was thinking about how other girls diet to be skinny, but you don’t really seem to care.”
“Yah! I do care about how I look!”
“Ok but not as much as other girls. Most girls would pick at this food and only eat the vegetables but you’re eating like a normal, healthy person.” I smiled and wolfed down more food. I reached for a kimbap then hesitated and asked:
“Have you done anything to the kimbap?” I eyed him suspiciously as he laughed and shook his head. I didn’t believe him so I sat near him and brought my face near to him as I looked into his eyes. He looked a bit shocked as I asked again:
“Did you do anything to the kimbap?” He shook his head silently. I smiled in happin
