For aeons, since the dawn of time and creation of mankind, each human had a guardian angel by his or her side. They would take care of them and guard them in their sleep. However, not all angels are the same. Their powers, personalities and ranks vary amongst them and only the selected few billions of angels would guard the humans.

There is one among them who stood out the most because her task was not to guard them, she was ordered to kill them by orchestrating their deaths so they could be sent into the Afterlife to decide whether they would either go to heaven because of the good deeds they did when they were still alive or be condemned to hell for their sins. And that particular angel, also known to humans as the Grim Reaper or the Angel of Death, is you.

Every single day, somewhere on earth someone would die and you had to prevent them from scattering themselves and run away from Afterlife. Over the course of time, you grew bored and annoyed because you had to travel all over the world to look for this human. Not that it was hard but it was the same routine every time, you wanted to experience something exciting and fun for once.

'Another soul to reap, ma'am.' Your helper informed, you got up reluctantly from your recliner and walked towards the world map on the wall. 'Which er is it?' You muttered to yourself. You wore your cloak and got your scythe, with a snap of your fingers, you were instantly transported to where you wanted. The dogs whimpered when they sensed your dark presence, you ignored them and walked over to the cadaver that lay before you.

The soul stood there restlessly, looking at his dead body before him. He saw you and attempted to run away but with the help of your scythe, the blade hooked into his soul and you sent him down into the world of Afterlife. Just when you were about to go back, you saw a human standing there and he seemed to be staring straight at you. He saw what you did to the soul.

'You can see me?' You asked the human, curiosity sparked in your grey eyes as he nodded shakily. 'Do you know who I am?' You asked again and the reply was the same. The moment you saw him, his past and his future were presented to you. You knew exactly how and when he's gonna die. 'You are the Angel of Death aren't you?' You gave him a slight smile, your hood has covered half of your face so only your mouth could be seen.

'Are you going to kill me now that I have seen you?' The man asked again. 'Your time has not come yet, I will see you again. When you're at my doorstep.' You turned to leave. 'Wait--!' He tried to grab you but pulled down your hood instead, your face was revealed and he just stood there staring at you. 'How dare you...!' You gripped onto your scythe, no mortal has ever done that and you felt surprised.

'I'm sorry, I just wanted to ask if I'll see you again. Not at my death bed but... Never mind, what's your name?' His dimpled smile made you feel strange, it was all fuzzy and tingly inside and you don't understand why. 'Its you.' You simply answered and disappeared into black wisps, leaving him standing there in the alley. He smiled as he repeated your name again in his mind, loving how it sound.

'Eren!' You yelled for your assistant and he came in a flash. 'You called, mistress?' He asked and you nodded. 'Bring me a book on humans from the Underworld Library. I need to do some reading.' You ordered and he left. You thought to yourself about the encounter with the human earlier.

What is this I'm feeling inside? It feels unfamiliar and I do not like it one bit. No mortal has ever seen my face, let alone detect my presence and yet, this human could see me and have a conversation with me. He must have a really powerful gift
