JESSICA

The cold breeze is brushing through my bare skin. I rubbed on it and sighed. It’s getting colder so I thought maybe I should wear a coat. Ugh! It’s too late. Yoona might notice me. Why do I even care? Oh my God! What’s happening to me?

I just pushed that thought away and quietly made my way to the garden. I decided to stay there for at least five minutes to clear my mind. I took a seat on the bench and looked around. Looking up, I noticed that there are so many stars twinkling tonight. A smile took shape on my lips when I remembered being here when I was still young. Abruptly, a falling star came into the view. My smile grew wider. Just as swift as the falling star travelled, I closed my eyes. Sympathetically, I made a wish.

Please tell me if I have seen the right one for me. Give me a sign.

Letting out a deep sigh, I slowly opened my eyes. My heart almost came out of my chest when I saw who’s in front of me, smiling.

“Hi,” he said.

“S-Suho,” I said his name.

He smiled and said, “I thought we’re gonna meet there,” he tilted his head to the side.

I nodded. “Yeah, I just let a moment passed here. I was surely gonna meet you.”

He shrugged. I was shocked when he took my hand and together we made our way to the oak tree. But we made sure no one sees us. We both know, meeting this late of night, it’s gonna be a big issue especially if Donghae finds out.

We reached the oak tree. He looked over at me and smiled before saying, “You’re beautiful tonight, Sica.”

I bit my lower lip and shrugged. “You always tell me that, Suho.”

“It’s because it’s the truth.”

I hit his arm and said, “Stop it. You’re flattering me!”

He chuckled and I was shocked when he grabbed and hugged me. My eyes went wide but I didn’t pull away. I remained there when he tightened his grip around me. My heart started to beat fast when he called my name, “Sica.”

“Hmm?”

“I’m sorry for doing this but please let’s stay like this for few moments,” he said.

I smiled though he couldn’t see it. “Okay.”

He hugged me for few minutes without even trying to say something. And neither me didn’t say anything. I just stayed like that; hearing his heart’s rhythm. “Suho,” I called.

“Sshh.”

“Suho-ah,” I called again.

“Hmm?”

“I, uhm, I—nevermind,” I stopped. I don’t know how to say it.

He didn’t react instead I heard his sigh. “You’re getting married, right?”

I stiffened. How did he know about that? But I shook my head which made him pull away. He cupped my face and stared down at me, “Wae?”

I sent him a smile and said what Siwon Oppa told me, “I will get married if I know I am sure about it.”

“Aren’t you sure about Donghae?”

I slightly shook my head. “No. I still have something to say so that I will be so sure.”

“Huh?” Confusion is written all over his face but I grew more confident to tell him about it. I let out a deep sigh.

“I know I shouldn’t be doing this, but I can’t take it anymore,” I sighed and took those hands holding my both cheeks. “I think—I think I love you,” I said.

I was worried what would be his reaction to it. He stared at me for a moment but my worry faded when he held my hands tight.

He smiled. “I think it would be better if you said you can’t talk.”

My heart almost broke. What? Oh! I get it. He doesn’t feel the same way about me. He didn’t even say he loves me, too. Feeling the tears breaming in my eyes, I slowly took steps backward and bowed, “Okay.”

I turned around and walked away but then, I heard him call my name. “Sica-ah,” he said. I stopped walking but still won’t face him. “I can’t talk.”

I looked over at him, confused. “What? Wa—“

He stared at me with his smile on and said, “I really can’t talk.”
