"Yeah. I'm never buying Pillsbury again."
Stupid You,
Gaheun's POV:
How can he be so stupid? How can he be so irresponsible? He's just so... So... STUPID!!! UGH!!! and he's so stubbourn. What an idiot. This isn't one of those silly arguments we had. This is about his life. Doesn't he understand?... How am I supposed to live, knowing that I breathe because he died? How does he expect me to be okay? Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.
There's a knock on the door.
"What is it?!" I yell loudly, sounding more angry than I meant to be. Oops.
The person just knocks again.
"I said what already! Just open the door!" Still sounding exasperated. Calm down, Gaheun, Hyungjoo and Hyukshin shouldn't be yelled at for nothing.
The doorknob slowly turns, and the door opens just as slow. I see Hyungjoo's hair, but nothing else; he probably doesn't know that it's sticking out from behind the door. He walks so slowly and so carefully. No wonder, he's coming into the room balancing three huge mugs on a plate. He sits on the bed, and slowly puts the tray down. Mmm... Hot chocolate. Weird, Hyungjoo? Hot chocolate? He seems too boyish to even know how to make it.
"Don't be mad…" He tells me worriedly as he hands me a mug.
"Hmph." I reply, putting both hands around the mug, unable to supress my anger.
"Oh... C'mon...C'mon... C’maaaaaan" He says, shaking my shoulder lightly.
"Hmph." I answer, looking away to hide my smile. There’s really no way to stay mad at them… it really isn’t their fault… but still…
"MY MASTERPIECE IS COMPLETE!!! Muahahaha!!!" Hyukshin yells as he runs in, also holding a plate in his hands. He halts to a stop in front of me, and puts down the plate, looking proud. Why he was so proud? I have no idea. Those were some poorly shaped cookies. The only thing I could see that would make him so happy would be that there are so many. Different shapes and sizes, odd shapes and sizes. Some of them weren’t even round…
"..." Hyungjoo and I just stare at it, not knowing what to think of his 'masterpiece'.
"So? How is it? Good?!" Hyukshin asks excited.
"...Yeah... It's really... Creative." I manage to smile. Hyungjoo just bursts out laughing, hysterical. Hyukshin's smile turns into a frown. Aww... Hyungjoo always bullies him.
"You know what it is, right Gaheun?"
"...Uhh... Sure... It's... A..." I honestly couldn't find anything that looked like it.
"It’s a sentence. Can't you read it?" A sentence?... Oh hey, is that my name?
Hyungjoo stops immediately. His face confused as he examines the ‘masterpiece’. "What? Lemme see." He takes the plate into his lap, shaking his head from side to side to try to read the sentence.
"Oh I'll just tell you..." Hyukshin shrugs.
"No!! I can read it! Thanks Hyukshin! That's so sweet of you!" I interrupt him. Aww... He actually put effort into it. It doesn't look edible, but it's the thought that counts! Hyukshin smiles, a little embarrassed.
"'Cheer up, Gaheun'?" Hyungjoo reads. "Cool" He says, about to grab one.
Hyukshin smacks his hand away. "Nonononono. I made it for Gaheun." Cute, sometimes he’s like a little kid. One of those really sweet ones, haha.
"What?! But... But... " Hyungjoo tries to rebut.
"Oh we can share! I can't finish it anyways!" I interrupt before they argue.
"Yeah, see? It's called sharing, Hyukshin." Hyungjoo says.
"Ugh" Hyukshin replies, rolling his eyes.
We sat around and ate for a while, taking our time.
"You know... In my defense, the cookie dough was hard to try to mould." Hyukshin begins, while eating a cookie.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's all the cookie dough's fault." Hyungjoo answers, shoving another one into his mouth. So much complaining for someone who’s been inhaling them for the last 10 minutes.
"Yeah. I'm never buying Pillsbury again. Well... At least not for my cookie art." Hyukshin adds seriously. I laugh, are they really having this conversation?
The front door opens, and we all become quiet. Hyungjoo and Hyukshin immediately become serious. Hyungjoo reaches for his back pocket pulling out his signature butterfly knife,
"Hyukshin stay here. You know what to do." He mumbles quietly, as he opens the door a little.
"Bu-" I try to say, but Hyukshin's hand covers my mouth. Great, now he's got crumbs and probably chocolate smeared all over my face. Thanks Hyukshin… Thanks.
Hyukshin doesn't remove his hand, making us just sit in silence, listening.
It was silent for a long time it seems.
"AAAAHH!!" A voice shrieks. A squeak sounds right after this exclamation, and then something heavy falls to the floor. The thud is followed by an object tattering on the floor. Hyungjoo.
Hyukshin let go immediately and ran to the window, pulling it open. Right after he opens the window, we hear laughter...? It wasn't Hyungjoo's, but it sounds familiar... It sounds like Kim Bum?
