Stupid You,
Listening to music helped to cool down my fear... But not enough to let me sleep. I lay on my bed, staring up to the ceiling. The door knob wiggles slightly, and opens just a tiny bit.
"Gaheun?" Donghae asks quietly, peaking his head into the dark room.
"Yeah?"
"Oh, so you are awake," He says, fully opening the door.
"Yep." I answer. He stands at the opening of the door, not moving a muscle. Now THAT'S creepy, I thought, laughing a little.
"I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. So you can go now if you want, I’ll be fine." I tell him, he was probably just checking up on me before he went to bed.
"I'm sorry... The movie was a dumb idea." He apologizes, looking really guilty.
"…How sorry do you feel?" I ask. I have an idea...
"Terribly, terribly sorry."
"Sorry enough... To stay up with me?" I ask, hopefully. Quite honestly, even being awake by myself is enough to scare me at the moment. Donghae smiles and nods before walking into my room. I sit up, and shift over to make room for him.
"Okay, so... What are you MOST afraid of then?" Donghae asks curiously. That's a good question... But if I had to choose one...
"A lot of stuff," I answer, he laughs out loud.
"That's not a good answer!" He says, still laughing.
"Well it's the truth!!"
"Haha, okay fine..."
I'm not sure how or when it happened, but I was lying down on my bed, with the back of my head resting on Donghae's thigh. Donghae was sitting against the wall, his legs straight out in front of him, legs almost reaching the edge of the bed. I guess I was too into the conversation to notice that I moved positions.
"By the way... Thanks for staying here with me while Yejin is away...she shouldn't have asked you to stay here. You don't have to stay for the whole time she's away though, I can handle myself."
Donghae smiles, "It's not a big deal, even if she didn't ask me, I would've suggested staying with you anyways," He answers in a light tone.
"Well... It's not your responsibility, so I wanted to let you know that you could go if you wanted,"
"Why would I want to leave? My girl is right here," He says teasingly as he pulls me up and hugs from the side, squeezing me tightly.
I squeal a little, "Ewwww... Your girl? You have one? " I ask. We always joke about this topic.
"Mhmmm... Right here" He replies, squeezing me tighter to the point where I’m practically sitting ON him (awkward right?), and then putting his face to the side of my head, smelling me by inhaling deeply.
"I think you're confused... But, I'm not your girl" I say to him, trying to look as serious as possible.
"Oh really?" He answers, amused and trying to follow my seriousness.
"Mhmm." I nod
"You sure about that?"
"100%"
"Well then, I guess something had to be done about that"
"Huh?"
"Well... Seeing as you're not my girl... I'll just have to make you mine,” He says jokingly, as he pulls me closer to him, trying to kiss my cheek.
"Eeewww!!" I shriek quietly, turning my torso slightly to the side so I could put both of my hands on his chest to push him away.
We continue to laugh and fight like this until we make direct eye contact. Our laughter stops, and we just stare at one another. No thoughts run through my mind at the moment, it’s just blank. He still has his arms around me, my arms still on his chest. He slowly begins to tighten his hold around me, pulling me closer, not removing his eyes from mine. He tilts his head towards mine, and stops when his nose is right beside mine. He looks down at my lips for a second, then back at me eyes... His gaze... it’s different from before. He gently rubs his nose against mine for a brief second. He pulls me even closer, and touches his lips against mine. We stay still for a second, until his lips begin to move, and without even thinking, I follow. He moves his hand to the nape of my neck gently guiding it, as he deepens our kiss. I tilt my head downwards, separating our lips so I can catch my breath. He leans his forehead on mine, as we both take a few moments to breathe. Without moving my head, I open my eyes and turn my gaze to him. He was looking at me as well,
"Well... Do you know what this means?" He asks, still slightly catching his breath.
"…What?"
"... You're definitely mine now," He finishes, smirking slightly. I just roll my eyes as I smile, and gently push against his chest so I can sit back on the bed instead of sitting on him.
We ended up talking again, about some nonsense stuff, some personal stuff, our usual topics. To my surprise, I was wrong. Maybe it's because he stayed up with me again, but I fell asleep.
