Kris’s POV
As soon as my car came to stop in the parking, I got out of the car, automatically locking it without looking back.
My long legs fastened its pace to the elevator, once I’m in; I pressed my floor’s number, the top one indeed.
And once I reached my penthouse, the light of the entire place was dimmed down, there were few candles. What surprised me were the rose’s petals and the young boy (18) dressed in a waiter uniform.
The boy greeted me with a smile and “Good evening Sir, your wife instructed me to tell you to follow the rose’s petals direction.”
I nodded anxiously, putting down my briefcase and straightened my jacket. I gave him a small smile and did as he said, follow the petals path.
The rose’s petals stopped just right in front of my balcony. Then onwards, everything I saw on the balcony took my breath away.
First was the candle light dinner. Second was this beautiful girl standing by the railing, her back was facing me. I sneaked up quietly behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
Suri jumped a little then giggled when she realized it was me. She must’ve been deep in thoughts to have not realized I was behind her.
“Surprise!” Suri beamed, her eyes twinkled in happiness. I leaned in and kissed her “Thank you~ You look beautiful.”
She smiled, holding my hand and led us to the table. I, as a gentleman, took the chair out for her and let her sit first. Then I took my seat.
I gaze at her with adoration in my eyes, caressing her hand “You did all these?” I looked at the preparation Suri poured her hearts out at; the petals of those roses, candles, dinner at the balcony, the food.
I couldn’t tell if Suri was blushing or not because of this dim light, but I know that she’s still beaming of happiness.
“Well, your mom and I did. She came up with the rose’s petals, this dress and that waiter, and we both came up with the idea to put the table here and put some candles around. The food is all me.” She said with excitement and sense of proudness of herself.
I mouthed “Wow” and smiled spread across my face “It’s amazing. Thank you.” I kissed the top of her hand. This time, I definitely saw the blush spreading on her cheeks.
The dinner had went great, Kris ended the dinner by dancing romantically with Suri. She loved every second of the time she spent with him. Kris was nice enough to tip the waiter for his service.
They danced to one more song before calling it a night. Kris turned off all the lights and said that he’ll take care of the rest in the morning.
