In the following week, Suri’s normal schedules changed from calm to hectic. She’d missed breakfast and lunch sometimes; she had to end her day shift quickly, and met up with the Wu’s ladies.

Suri had to quit her bartender job as well and keep the waitress job only. Nowadays, Suri would come home at two in the morning right after her night shift ended.

Kris had told her to quit working, but Suri insisted on keeping doing what she’s doing. Suri said “As long as I’m still Kim Suri Ana, I’ll keep on working. So when the day I bear your name comes, then I’ll stop, maybe.”

Kris has never met anyone like Suri before; she is hardheaded, straightforward, humble and kind at the same time. The more time he spent with her, the more he’s starting to change. And everyone around him can see it.

It was yet another weekend, Suri was supposed to have her night shift later that evening, but Kris had it his way by calling in her manager, telling him that Suri was sick, and the manager of course bought the lie.

He knocked a couple of times on her bedroom door before entering. The clock that was hanged on the wall had just struck 2 sharp in the afternoon.

“Suri-ah! Wake up! I’m taking you out for lunch.” Kris said as he switched on the light, there he found Suri buried under the soft thick blanket, pillows everywhere on the bed.

‘She must’ve been so tired lately,’ he thought. A smile leisurely made its way to his lips. Kris shook Suri’s shoulder again “Suri~ Wake up.”

Suri mumbled out gibberish, ending every sentence with “Leave me alone.” Pulling and covering her face with the blanket again.

“Okay”, Kris chuckled, pulling the blanket off of her yet again “Get up. I’m hungry!” Suri muttered some more nonsense, lying on her stomach.

In the midst of waking Suri up, Kris, however, accidentally smacked her bum. And in seconds Suri jolted up from her sleepy state, quickly scurried over to the corner of her room.
