“In case you start panicking again, I’m just letting you know that I’m going to work and will be back around midnight or so. – Suri” Kris rolled his eyes, crumpling the note in his hand and left the condo.

“Good morning Mr. Kris.” His driver-slash-bodyguard, JaeSuk, greeted him with a professional smile. Kris nodded and gracefully enters the back seat.

Kris fished his phone out of his pocket and dialed in his secretary’s number. “Lia, cancel all my appointment at lunch today and tell them to reschedule, I have to be somewhere.” He informed and ended without hearing another word from Lia.

“Jaesuk, I need you to pick up a dress and a pair of-” Kris chuckles as he recall the way Suri wore a dress with a pair of converse, he approve of the looks, but not for tonight’s occasion.

“And a pair of shoes appropriate for dinner. All of that are already paid, I just need you to pick it up at the boutique that Nara always took me to.” Kris ordered.

Jaesuk nodded with attentiveness “To whom should I send it to?” His eyes fixed on the road ahead of him.

“Send it home and put it in my room.” Jaesuk nodded again and come to a gentle stop in front of the Wu’s building.

Kris left the car and head straight to the conference room for his early meeting with his soon to be join-venture steel company.
 

“Suri!” Her co-worker half scream and a half squeal as they called her. Suri raised an eyebrow, questioningly.

Since it was still 11 in the morning, an hour before the lunch madness, the situation in the restaurant was calm enough to let the employees talk to each other.

Suri was busy cleaning the table when her colleague, Minah, called. “Don’t give me that look. I’m the one who should be doing that.” She said.

“What?” Suri scrunched her nose in confusion. Minah rolled her eyes, annoyed “You’re engaged? Since when?”

Suri couldn’t form a proper sentence at the moment, but managed to ask “Who told you?”

Minah rolled her eyes again “He’s here. Is your fiancé Kris Wu? As in Wu freakin' Yifan the heir of Wu’s trading-textile-metal-and all sort of business his company controlled?”

“Where is he?” Suri looked around in alarmed. Minah smirked “He’s on his way here; he’s talking to manager-nim for a moment.”

Suri heaved a sigh “Don’t tell anyone.” She spoke in a hushed tone. “I won’t but I think they already know since Kris emphasized the word fiancée-” Minah quotes the air “-out loud along with your name in the same sentences.”
