I was going to talk with Suyoung until I walked behind Kai who was busy talking to his cousin, said, "I do like her and I don't plan on letting her go. If you hurt her in any way, don't think I'll hesitate to hurt you back." Ohoo this is interesting. His cousin left abruptly and I went up to him. "You're having a tough time." I said to him and he turned around. "I heard your little confession." I said to him while smirking and his face was like --. "Uh about that.." "Were you telling the truth or you were just saying that so she'll stop bugging you?" I asked him and he hesitate for a moment. "This is between you and me. I just want you to tell the truth. Im not going to kill you if you said you lied just now." "I was telling the truth." He said while rubbing the back of his neck. "Good for you then. I hope you keep your word about not letting Suyoung go." I said while giving him a pat. I went to Suyoung after saying that because I know Kai's face was red as a tomato.
Suyoung's POV :
The boys told me about Kai's cousin saying that she had a crush on him ever since they were young. She confessed to him two years ago but he rejected her. She never got over him. "They are not actually cousins." Kris told me. "What do you mean?" "Her dad a.k.a Kai's uncle is actually an adopted son so basically they are not blood-related at all. That's why she kept on chasing after him." "He actually rejected her nicely but she never know when to quit. And Kai was fed up with that. She's like his ex or something that's how much he dislikes her." Kyungsoo continued. "Oh, she left." Sehun said and he wasn't lying. She's not with Kai anymore instead, Seung hyun oppa is talking with him. "Why does Kai look like he's panic?" Lay said. "Seung hyun hyung can be really scary." Chanyeol oppa said and all of them nodded in agreement. Seung hyun oppa then gave him a pat and Kai was as red as a tomato. "Suyoungiee~" Seung hyun oppa called me. "Oppa!" "Annyeonghaseyo sunbaenim." The rest of EXO greeted him and bowed to him. "Annyeonghaseyo, are you enjoying the party?" "Yes." They answered respectfully. "Oppa, did you say something to Kai?" "No, we were just talking about business." Kai came and stood next to me. When Seung hyun oppa was busy talking with the rest of EXO, I whispered to Kai, "Oppa, are you okay? Your face is red." "Uh,yeah im okay." "Okay then." I said to him while taking a sip of my drink. I feel like he's staring at me but maybe it's just me? "Hey, where did Minjoo go?" Chanyeol oppa asked Kai. "She left." The others sighed in relief when Kai answered that. "You guys don't like her that much?" Seung hyun oppa asked and they all nodded in agreement. Kai didn't said anything. "She even snapped at Suyoung when Suyoung was trying to help her just now." Baekhyun oppa told Seung hyun oppa. "And Suyoung was still worried about her." Chanyeol oppa said. "Well, she looked like-" "Suyoung, when you try to be nice to people and they snapped at you for trying to help, just ignore them after that." Seung hyun oppa advised me. "You know Im not like that right?" "I know, this is a tip for you that you're well known now." "Suyoung is too nice~" Xiumin said and the others laughed at me while agreeing with that statement. "You should go to mom and dad. They wanted to talk to you just now but couldn't talk since they were busy with the guests." Seung hyun oppa said and so, Kai and I went to mom and dad. "There they are! You looked beautiful!" Mom said while giving me hug and dad was talking to Kai. "You did well on your speech just now." "Thank you, Mr.Lee." "Just call me dad now. You're my son-in-law." "Awww~ aren't you two getting along now." mom said and soon, Kai's parents joined us. "You can call us mom and dad too~ kekeke~" Mrs.Kim said and mom asked, "Aren't we a happy family now." "Well, ever since we announced that you two are engaged, everyone had done a background check on you." Mr.Kim said to me. I got a little nervous after he said that but dad assured me that everything will be fine since I have Kai to protect me. "As an example, here comes one of them." Dad said and a few guests came to us. They look really scary for some reason.
Kai's POV :
A few guests came to us and greeted us. Our parents were talking to another guest after these two came. "It's been a long time since we last saw each other, Kai-ssi." One of the guests said to me. "I actually wished that I won't have to meet you again." I muttered and Suyoung nudged my arm a bit. "Heh, rude as ever." He said again. "What do you want Jongsuk?" I asked him. "Im here to congratulate you on your engagement. Nice to meet you, Suyoung-ssi. Im Park Jongsuk." "Nice to meet you too, Jongsuk-ssi." "I know that you're brothers are good looking but I never expect that you would be very very beautiful." This guy is so cheesy. Suyoung laughed awkwardly and said, "Thank you for the compliment." He's eyeing her too much. "Well, you've said what you wanted so go and enjoy the party." "I thought that we should catch up on a few things." "We don't have anything to catch up with." "Then, I guess it'll be only the two of us then, Suyoung-ssi." I glared at him when he said that and Suyoung didn't really know what to say to him. "Suyoung, can you grab me a drink? Im thirsty." "Sure." After she went, I went closer to Jongsuk. "Just scram so nobody has to get hurt." "Aren't you protective of her? What, are you afraid she'll fall for me?" I scoffed at him. "Fall for you? I think you need to stop being delusional or check your eyes. It's pretty obvious to me that she doesn't even want to know you." "You're so confident. You were also confident with Seri but what happened? She-" "Shut your mouth and scram. This is my last warning. You go near Suyoung, I'll make you regret it." I tried to be calm but this guy is asking for it. "Calm down, your killer eyes are coming out." Just then, Suyoung came and he said, "Well, I'll see you again soon Suyoung-ssi. Congratulations again." "Thank you. Have a good time." She said and Jongsuk gave me a smirk but I glared at him. He knew which buttons to push. He just had to say that name. "Oppa, are you okay?" I looked at Suyoung and she looked worried. "Im fine." "Are you sure? Your going to hurt your palms if you keep tightening your fist like that." She said while looking at my fists. I realised that my hands turned into fists when I was talking to Jongsuk just now. I loosened my fist and she passed me the drink. "Did something happened?" She asked carefully. "Nope." She didn't said anything but just replied "Okay. So, you two look close." She said in a sarcastic way. "We were in the same high school before. He's older actually." "Then, why were you.." "Rude?" "Sort of." "I don't like him and never will. You should stay away from him. He's not really a good person." "He did looked scary a bit. So, okay." I smiled at her and then the guests continued coming so we were talking with lots of people. Soon, the party ended. "Everyone, thank you for coming and have a good night~" We said our farewells and the only ones that were still with us were our families and EXO. "Well, we'll see you soon. Thanks for inviting us and have a good night." EXO said to us. "Im pretty sure you two are tired so have a good sleep and you can come in late tomorrow for work." Dad said. "You did a good job today! Both you and Suyoung." Mom continued and Suyoung's parents said the same thing and we said our goodbyes and went in our car. Suyoung was already yawning and looked pretty tired. "Are you sleepy?" "A little. I had fun though but I don't remember all of the guests." I chuckled and said, "You don't have to remember everyone. I don't remember them sometimes." "But you know how to say the right things to them. If it was me, it would be written all over my face." She said while laughing and I laughed at her. "Yeah, I can imagine that." We reached our house and changed our clothes. I was already sleeping the moment my head landed on my pillow. She was taking off her make-up and dress then she went to sleep.
