It’s been 5days since the incident with her father and Jessica is still under house arrest. They’re still giving each other cold shoulders with Jessica just answering with a brief yes or no when asked. She’s glad that her mother is in the house so she can have someone to talk to.

“Sweetheart?”

Jessica tore her gaze away from the book she was reading and turned to the door. “Hi mom…”

Mommy Jung entered the room and sat on the bed. “What are you doing?”

Jessica showed the book she’s reading. “Reading…”

Mommy Jung sadly smiles at her daughter. “I’m really sorry for keeping you in the house like this. If I we—”

“Mom…” Jessica gently placed her hand above her mother’s. “It’s okay. I’m glad actually. In our state we get to bond more making up for those lost times when you’re not around”

Mommy Jung smiles warmly at her daughter. “Don’t you miss your friends?”

“I do…” Jessica smiles. “But I’ve got my bestest best friend right here with me. So I’m good”

Tears were welling up at the corner of Mommy Jung’s eyes. She can’t believe that, even though she wasn’t around that much and her father is misguiding her, Jessica grew up to be sweet and family-oriented like her.

Before everything turns emotional, mommy Jung quickly flashed a teasing smile. “How about Yuri? Don’t you miss her?”

“I do…” Jessica lowered her head and shyly admits as a pink tint appears in her cheeks.

Mommy Jung giggled at her shy daughter whilst Jessica just pouted and playfully glared at her mother. They were in the middle of their bonding when Jessica’s door slowly opens causing them to halt. They both turned to the door and Mr. Jung is standing there.

The mother and daughter is the perfect definition of bipolar. The more days they spend with each other the more Jessica realize that she’s just like her mother. Or her mother was like her when she was in her teens. One minute, they’ll be giddy and chuckling but when Mr. Jung is around they’ll be serious and indifferent. These is their silent protest against the head of the family, thought they know that Mr. Jung is oblivious to it.

Mr. Jung cleared his throat. “We have guests. I expect you two to be down in 5 minutes”

Mommy Jung casually stood up. “Change your clothes sweetheart. I’ll expect you in my room in 3”

Jessica politely nodded her head and went for the bathroom. Mommy Jung didn’t say anything and just walked passed her husband.

“You should know that I’m doing this for her” Mr. Jung spoke before Mommy Jung could even enter their room.

Mommy Jung turned to her husband. “I know… but this—the one talking to me right now—is the Lord Jung of the mafia world not Jessica’s dad”

With that said, Mommy Jung left her dumbfounded husband. Mr. Jung let out a sigh and ran his fingers thru his hair. He thought for a moment, before completely walking down to meet their guests.

The Jung Family is now in the living room together with their guests. And if Jessica’s memory serves her right, their guest is Mr. Henney and his son, Daniel Henney. Mr. Jung is seated on the lazy boy whilst Mommy Jung and Jessica were seated side by side on the couch. Mr. Henney and his son are sitting opposite them.

Mommy Jung is sitting comfortable on the couch casually sipping on her tea whilst Mr. Jung and Mr. Henney talks about business as usual. Daniel remained silent whilst Jessica kept fidgeting. Mommy Jung noticed Jessica’s simple movement and she can’t help but worry.

“Something wrong sweetheart?” Mommy Jung whispers at her daughter.

Jessica flashed a smile but Mommy Jung was able to spot that it was a forced one. “I’m fine mom… don’t worry”

Mommy Jung decided to not pry because they were in the watchful eyes of her husband plus they have guests. She made a mental note to talk to her daughter later.

“So when will the wedding takes place?” Mr. Jung asked.

After the question was asked, Jessica immediately jerks up this was understandable for mommy Jung. But when, from the corner of her eyes, she saw Daniel jerks up as well, it left her questioning. Though it was a little body language still Mommy Jung was able to see because after all she’s a mother.

“I think its best if the wedding takes place after Jessica’s graduation” Daniel spoke up causing Jessica to turn to her with a glare but the man was oblivious to it. “In that way the preparation won’t experience hold ups because of Jessica’s school”

Mr. Jung and Mr. Henney nodded their head, agreeing with Daniel’s statement.

“I don’t see any problem to that…” Mr. Jung spoke. “Besides that will give us ample time to plan the wedding of the century”
