“I thought you don’t do prom?” Taeyeon asked the person beside her.

Yuri turned to her side. “And let you go alone? I don’t think so. I’d rather be here so I can be with you”

“You do know that you two sound like lovers right?” Hyoyeon joined the conversation. “I really hate it when I’m the third wheel. And before I forget you two look exceptionally dapper”

“We know right” Taeyeon answered then flips her hair.

“I can say the same to you, Hyo.” Yuri added. “You look very well dressed. I feel underdressed beside you two”

Hyoyeon looks very elegant with her black suit pants, black long-sleeves, flesh coloured tie, with matching black coat and her silky blonde hair was let lose.

Taeyeon tied her hair in a bun to emphasize her facial features and was wearing the same outfit as Hyoyeon minus the coat for it was too hot and she doesn’t want to be all sweaty so she decided to shred the coat off. Luckily she did or else she and Hyoyeon would’ve mistaken as twins because of their matching outfit.

Yuri on the other hand was the underdressed of them all but looking handsome as always. She was only wearing a stripped long-sleeves shirt whose sleeves are rolled up until above her elbow. A navy blue vest above her shirt to add elegance and skinny black jeans.

The trio were talking and laughing. They were enjoying themselves whilst the other around them–more like the pairs or couples–were dancing with their respective partners. They were in the middle conversation the music stopped and the stop light was focused on the entrance. Of course, TaeRiHyo aren’t exempted, they too were staring at the door.

Their place, luckily, has a full view of the entrance. Two princesses entered the place. Tiffany look very pretty in her pink dress with matching pink flower as clip. Whilst Jessica, looks very gorJess in her yellow dress. Simple yet very beautiful and elegant.

Taeyeon’s normally little eyes turned round. For her, no words can express how beautiful Tiffany is. Well, Tiffany is normally beautiful but now, she looks like a goddess from above went down only to give Taeyeon a heart attack. Yuri, on the other hand, she looks like she’s not breathing. Then flashback of what she and Taeyeon were talking entered her mind.

Yuri never let Taeyeon’s side. Even though they weren’t talking each other’s presence are enough as comfort. Taeyeon is playing with the flower in her hand whilst Yuri had her eyes close. What Yuri is thinking? Taeyeon doesn’t know and she doesn’t either want to ask because she knows Yuri won’t tell.

“Yul?” Taeyeon broke the silence between them.

“Hm?” Yuri answered without opening her eyes.

“Can I ask you something?”

“Fire away buddy”

“Have you ever looked at Jessica and see a woman, not Jessica?”

Yuri slowly opens her eyes and turned to Taeyeon. “What do you mean?”

Taeyeon stopped playing with the flower and lay down beside Yuri. “I mean, for example, Jessica walked inside a room. When she enters, have you ever felt the world will slowly stops and it felt like you two are the only person in the world. Then your gazes will locked and the whole world has successfully stopped”

Yuri bit her lip, hoping to stop her chuckle from coming out. Because what Taeyeon said was too cheesy, she wanted to puke. “You mean have I ever saw Jessica the way you saw Tiffany?”

“You can put it that way”

“Then my answer would be no” Yuri said straightforwardly. “I don’t see Jessica in that way”

“Oh…” Taeyeon said dejectedly.

“Why?” Yuri turn to Taeyeon because the tone she made, made the former curious.

“Nothing…” Taeyeon shook her head. “I just thought you know, you have something for her”

“What made you think that?”

“Well, with the away you act around her” Taeyeon shook her head. “Maybe it was all in my head. Like Tiffany liking me, all in my head. Forget I ever said that”

Yuri blinked, once, twice, many times. She never believed in what Taeyeon said she feels. The slow-mo thing was so surreal for her but she’s experiencing it first hand, now, with Jessica. is slightly agape as she continues to stare. Then suddenly, her world stops when Jessica turned her way and they locked gazes. Yuri’s lips curved upward mimicking Jessica’s action she was about to stand up but a figure blocked her view and the magical feeling immediately stopped.

“What was that?” Yuri asked as she looked around. She got startled, it felt like someone pushed the play button and everything start to move normally.

“What was what?” Taeyeon asked.

“Nothing…” Yuri shook her head to get it back on place. “Where’s Hyo?”

“Getting us some drinks. You okay man?” Taeyeon asked worriedly.

“Fine…” Yuri sat back down properly. “I’m fine”

Yuri rubs her eyes then runs her hand thru her hair. What has gotten into me? She kept asking herself over and over again.

“Yuri?”

Yuri immediately looks up when she heard that voice. “Hi Sica”

Jessica smiles sweetly. “You look nice”

“You look beautiful” Yuri doesn’t know but her heart is beating widely now.

Jessica bowed a little to hide the growing blush on her cheeks. “I thought you don’t do prom?”

“I’m with–”

“Jess?” Tyler, Jessica’s date, interrupted their conversation.

Jessica look back and saw Tyler signalling her to return. She then returned her attention to Yuri. The tanned girl smiles. “You should go back, Sica. He’s calling for you and I think Tiffany is uncomfortable without you there”

“I’ll see you later?” Jessica was reluctan to go back and Taeyeon, who has been watching them silently, can tell.

Yuri nodded her head. “I’ll save my last dance for you”

“I’ll hope for it” Jessica blushed. She quickly hide it by turning around and walking off but of course it didn’t go unnoticed by Taeyeon’s sharp eyes.

As soon as Jessica left, Hyoyeon returned with glass of wine in hand. “What did I miss?”
