Jessica POV

“Urgh…”

I groan as soon as the ray of sun touched my face. I tried to cover my face using the blanket but it was as thin as a paper plus it’s white. Whatever cover I do the light will still pass thru it.

“Aish… Stupid house… doesn’t have a window or curtain…” I mumbled to myself as I lazily stood up and walked outside the balcony of my room.

Wherever I look there was already light everywhere. The birds are flying freely on the sky as the waves touch the sand. Where am I you asked? I’m actually at Jeju Island right now. After the wedding Tiffany and Taeyeon closed the company for one whole month for their honeymoon. Of course I protested but when Yuri agreed, I didn’t protest. Why? Because Kwon Corp. is the major stock holder for our company, so whatever she says is authority.

[Speaking of that tanned goddess monkey. I haven’t seen her since I woke up. Where the heck is she?]

I scanned the area for a possible monkey goofing around then I spotted two people walking hand in hand. A smile spread across my face at the sight of Yuri and my son, why didn’t I call her seobang? Because she’s not my seobang period! No questions asked. I watched them as they walked hand in hand towards Yuri’s beach house. I waited for a minute then–

“UWAAAAA!!”

“Just right on cue…” I chuckled to myself when I heard my son crying. I know him well, I bet he’s already hungry and when he’s hungry no one can make him stop crying. I expected another cry but there was none.

Jessica walked downstairs only to find her Yuri and Jisook lying lazily on the sofa. Jisook was on his bottle while Yuri was drinking water. Both have the same drinking position and both have the same facial expression. Jessica can’t help but chuckle at their cute antics. Hearing the chuckle, Yuri quickly turned to Jessica who was standing on the foot of the stairs.

“Good morning Sica~” Yuri greeted Jessica sweetly but the smile on Jessica’s face quickly faded as soon as she made eye contact with Yuri.

Yuri POV

Without saying or greeting me back Jessica proceeds to the kitchen. My heart aches when Jessica ignored me. She’s been doing that for about a week now but what can I do, the princess hasn’t forgiven me yet. I haven’t even confessed my feelings for her yet. I’m such a coward. These past few weeks I’ve been trying my hardest to melt Jessica’s heart but the latter kept ignoring me. I even push Taeyeon to do this one month vacation so that I can spend my time with Jessica and Jisook.

1 and a half weeks have passed and our relationship hasn’t progressed yet. She’s still ignoring me and only talking to me if necessary. Every other night Jisook will sleep with me and on the other he will sleep Jessica. I somehow pictured this vacation differently. I thought I will be able to sleep beside Jessica again, alright guys don’t be byun! Of course Jisook will be in the middle >_<

I smiled sadly and lifted Jisook with me and together we went to the kitchen. Jessica was just sitting there and zoning out. I can’t help but smile at myself, Jessica spacing out is really a cute sight for me.

“Sica-ah… I cooked breakfast for you… it’s your favourite.”

[I know I can’t be shaken now, now that we have a son, now that I have Jisook to boost my confidence a little. I can do this! Yuri hwaiting!!]

“I’m not hungry…” Jessica was about to stood up.

“Please Sica? You haven’t had breakfast with us since the start of this vacation.” Yuri pleaded.

Jessica didn’t dare to look in Yuri’s eyes because she knows that once she does that her heart will start to melt again. Jessica let out a defeated sigh and sat back down.

“Kamsahamnida Jessica…” Yuri smiled charmingly at Jessica but the latter didn’t see the smile because she kept ignoring Yuri.

Yuri smiled sadly again and placed Jisook in his high chair and she sat down beside her son in front of Jessica. The deafening silence engulfed Jessica and Yuri, the only noise that can be heard was Jisook’s plastic eating utensils that he kept on tapping.

Occasionally the two will tend to Jisook’s needs but every time they will react at the same time, Yuri was always the first one to retract because she knows that Jessica knew Jisook more than her. Minutes later, the silent breakfast had already ended.

“Thank you for the meal.” Jessica stood up from her sit and placed her plate on the sink.

Jessica was about to wash her plate when a hand stopped her. It was Yuri. Jessica’s heart started to beat in an irregular manner. A sensation she’s not unfamiliar with because she always feels this way every time Yuri will touch her. Jessica quickly retracted her hand afraid that her body will act on its own.

“I will take care of this… you go and stay with Jisook. I bet he misses you already.” Yuri smiled sweetly at Jessica and this time she was able to see it. Jessica quickly walked towards Jisook, afraid that Yuri will see her blushing face.

When two was no longer in room Yuri heaved a heavy sigh and continues washing the dishes. When she was finally finished she walked out from the kitchen only to find her son and Jessica playing with the sand outside. Yuri smiled while watching her son and wife Jessica having fun in the sand.

“Pa… appa… appa…” Jisook kept mumbling words.

“What’s that baby?”

“Appa… appa…”

“You want to go to appa baby?” Jessica asked and Jisook nodded his head like he understand what Jessica was asking him.

“Yuri?” Jessica broke Yuri’s trance.

“Neh?” Yuri blinked a couple of times and smiled at Jessica.

“Jisook wants you…” Jessica smiled back. Yuri felt her heart did a back flip.

Yuri hurriedly went to Jessica and Jisook. The trio started playing in the sand like a perfect happy family. Yuri will seldom look at Jessica and every time the princess will catch her, she can’t help but looked down and blush. Jessica on the other hand can’t help but smile seeing the shy Yuri.
 

Phone conversation:

“Yoboseyo?”

“Yah Taengoo!”

“Yul? What’s up buddy?”

“Are you busy?”
 

“Tiff are you busy?”

“Not really no… why Jessie? Is there something wrong?”

“I need your advice…”

“I need your advice Taeng~ please~ please~ please~”

“Yah! Don’t use your aegyo on me... it’s disgusting. So what is it that you want?”

“It’s Jessica…”

“It’s Yuri…”

“Oh? What’s wrong with Yuri?”

“She’s making me crazy…”

“She’s making me crazy Taeng…”

“How’s that?”

“One moment she’s scary and cold and now she’s actually smiling at me…”

“Isn’t that a good thing Yul?”

“Jessie isn’t that a good thing? At least now you know that she’s sincere.”

“You know I don’t want my heart to get hurt again…”

“Take a chance Jessie…”

“Take a chance Yul before someone takes her away from you.”

“What do I to do then?”

“Confess my brother…”

“Confess Jessie…”

“What?! Are you out of your mind?! I’m the girl in this relationship or whatever. I was the one who conceived Jisook. I can’t confess…”

“Jessica Jung Sooyeon! You’re not getting any younger and your son is already growing he needs a family.”

“Kwon Yuri you’re son needs a family! So stop whining and man up! arasso?”

“Yea… I guess…”

“Good! Go start preparing for your confession… goodnight buddy.”

“Goodnight Jessie…”

“Thanks Tiff…”

That night two hearts were restless. Two minds can’t stop functioning. Their hearts and minds both drifted off to the same person who owns their hearts. Yuri walked out to her balcony and watched as the stars shines brightly while Jessica was just lying on her bed.

Jessica woke up because of the strumming of the guitar. She slowly stood up and saw that the space beside her is already empty.

“So that’s why there’s no whining and kicking beside me.” Jessica chuckled to herself and slowly made her way to the source of sound.
