“Urghhhh!” The bed stirred a little and a hand stretched out from underneath the thick blanket. The hand got the phone from the night stand that was buzzing uncontrollably. Then Yuri’s head popped from underneath the blanket. “Yoboseyo?”
“What the heck Yul?! What happened? You haven’t called since 3days!” the voice on the other side yelled. It was Taeyeon.
“Yah! Taeng-juhmma! Stop yelling you’re giving me a headache!” Yuri slightly raised her voice but not fully.
“Yul what happened? Where are you now?” Taeyeon asked. This time she wasn’t yelling, her voice was soft and worried.
“I’m currently in Cali right now” Yuri answered calmly. “Why do you ask?”
“Yah! I’m just worried you know! You just suddenly disap–wait! Did you just say Cali?! As in California???!!” Taeyeon raised her voice again.
“Neh” Yuri answered brightly. “I’m in America right now”
“What the heck Kwon Yuri?! What are you doing there??!! What do you want me to tell uncle and auntie?!”
“Following my heart?” Yuri answered indifferently. “It’s your call Taeng…if you want to lie or tell them the truth I’m okay with whatever you do. Gomawo~”
“Aigooo~ the things I do for my dongseang…” Taeyeon sigh on the other line. “Alright…alright…just take care…and go back home immediately”
“I will…I will…” Yuri smiles like a dork on the other line even though Taeyeon wasn’t able to see it. “Gomawo…saranghae~”
With that said Yuri ended the call with a big smile on her face. She stretched out her hand again and placed the phone on the night stand. She went back to her original position, face and stomach lying on the soft mattress. Her head was lying on her folded arms. She was about to go back to sleep when someone laid half of her body on Yuri’s back.
“Saranghae? Are you cheating on me already Kwon Yuri?” an angelic voice whispered right in front of Yuri’s ear sending shiver s down her spine.
Yuri let out a chuckle. She reached behind her back to touch the girl’s face. “That was my cousin, Sica…don’t be jealous”
“I’m not jealous” Jessica immediately retorted as she rested her head on Yuri’s back. “I was just asking”
