“You do know that I’m not your girlfriend, right?” Jessica asked after she took a fork-full of japchae.

“I purposely left that one out” Yuri smiles at Jessica. “I wouldn’t want the plushies to be taken away from me”

Jessica smiles and did that thing again with her hair then proceed in eating.

Yuri returned to eating as well.

After they finished eating, Jessica dragged Yuri again to wherever she wants.

The plushie? They are now safe in Jessica’s arms.

Yuri doesn’t know if Jessica is having a fun time with the fair or having a fun time dragging her because she somehow does it often, not that Yuri mind.

“It’s almost 10?” Jessica pouted as she looked at her watch.

“Should we go?” Yuri asked.

“But we haven’t ride the Ferris wheel yet” Jessica sulked. “And it’s their last night tonight”

“Yuri?”

“Huh?” Yuri blinked a couple of times.

Yuri turned to Jessica who is giving her a worried look.

“Are you okay?”

Yuri flash a half smile. “I’m fine. Let’s go ride that Ferris wheel”

Jessica beamed then dragged Yuri again to the Ferris wheel.

Good thing for them it was already late at night and not so many people are lining up for the ride.

“The view is nice up here don’t you think?” Jessica happily said as they reached to the peak.

They have a perfect view of the whole town plus some part of the neighbouring town.

Being at the top means the wind will most definitely be strong.

The wind blew harshly and because Jessica isn’t wearing any jacket on, she shivered.

Of course that didn’t go unnoticed by Yuri’s watchful eyes. And Jessica rubbing her hands on her arm was too obvious to not notice.

So Yuri scoot a little closer to Jessica. She took off her jacket and draped it around Jessica’s shoulders.

Yuri’s face was too close for Jessica’s liking and from another person’s view it may look like they were kissing with Yuri all over Jessica.

“T-thank you…” Jessica mumbles as she look down to hide her blushing face. “What about you? Aren’t you cold?”

Yuri smiles and shook her head. “I’m fine, right where I am”

Jessica blushed harder–she seems to be blushing often around Yuri–because she thought what Yuri meant was ‘she was fine beside Jessica’.

Internally, Jessica is squealing like a high school girl but on the outside, she’s giving Yuri a blank stare of love.

“Sica” Yuri snapped her fingers causing Jessica to return to the world.

Jessica stares blankly at Yuri. “Did you just call me Sica?”

“Err–” Yuri sheepishly rubs her name as she backs away from Jessica. She didn’t meant to say it out loud it was just, it rolled out of her tongue mindlessly. “You don’t mind, right? I mean I can call you Jessica again if you like”

Jessica immediately shook her head. “I don’t mind, Yul”

Jessica meant it as a tease, giving Yuri a nickname but somehow it sounded right.

Yuri flashed a smile at Jessica and the latter did that again, the thing with her hair.

Yuri can’t help but found it adorable.

“Sica?”

“Hm?”

Yuri touched the panda plushie on Jessica’s arms. “Can I ask you something?”

Yuri looked at Jessica straight in the eyes. “But if you don’t feel like answering its fine”

“What is it?”

“What’s with the panda?”

Jessica looked down on the pandas.

A soft yet sad smile appeared on her beautiful face. “I visited a fair once before this. I was about 9… no, 8, at that time. I saw a panda plushie and ask my father for one. Just one. God he ”

Jessica let out a sad chuckle whilst Yuri silently listens. “He at shooting games. He stayed at that stall, he tried many times just to get that panda but he so we left the fair with no panda plushie”

“Where are they?” Yuri asked. “Your parents?”

Jessica stares at the panda smiling plushie. “Mom is dead. She died because she was sick”

Jessica let out a sad chuckle. “She told me she’ll be leaving but she’ll be back. And guess what, she never came back”

Yuri had this worried look on her face. “She’s your nightmare…” she stated.

Jessica slowly nodded her head. “I have abandonment issue because of my mom. Every time I wake up in the middle of the night and I’m alone. All I can remember was her walking out of my door”

“And Dad?” Yuri changed the topic because it was too depressing for her liking.

“Dad…” Jessica let out a sigh. “We aren’t in speaking terms at the moment”

“I’m sorry”

Jessica turned her head to Yuri, who is now looking away from her.

“I shouldn’t have asked for a very personal questions”

Jessica shrugs. “You’re bound to know sooner or later might as well come out clean”

Yuri turns her sight back to Jessica. “I would’ve told you something about myself in exchange for what you said but… as you know, my condition”

“I’m not forcing you so you shouldn’t force yourself. It’s not like I need to know your past to know who you are”

Yuri and Jessica were staring at each other, smiling, then they suddenly felt the Ferris wheel stopped.<
