They were driving themselves home when Soo Jin’s phone suddenly rang.

“Ne? Right now? I need to be there immediately? 2 days? De, I understand.”

“Problem?” Onew asked when her call ended.

“I need to attend the press conference in place of one researcher. There is an emergency on her part and I need to take over.” She said and looked at Soo Ki who was sleeping. “Can you manage to take care of her while I’m away?”

Onew looked at her with his tell-me-you-are-not-serious  look.

“I promise it will be for only 2 days. I just… you know, I can’t say no since he is my boss. I have to be obedient.” She said.

“You’re not going home for 2 days?”

She nodded. “It’s an out of town conference and we have to be there. After that, we have to start editing the report to present it as a whole to our director. One cover requires a lot of time. I hope you understand.” She felt sorry for it.

“No, it’s okay. I’ll take care of her, don’t worry.” Onew said.

As soon as they arrived home. Soo Jin rushed upstairs to pack some things.

“I’m going.” She said after 15 minutes.

“Already?”

“Yes, I’m really sorry I’m in a hurry. Please take care of Soo Ki for a while for me. I’ll be back in 2 days.”

“Have you said goodbye to her?”

“She’ll just cry if I do. Once she wakes up and asked where I went. Tell her I’m going back really really soon. Please take care of her, thank you.”

She was rushing when her phone rang again. “Yes, sir. I’m on my way. Yes. Yes. Okay.”

After few seconds, the door was shut closed. There was Onew standing in the middle of the living area, with Soo Ki sleeping on her room.

“Eootookae?” He tilted his head a little. What should he do now that Soo Jin was gone for some days? He shook his head.

“Jinki-appa, hwaiting.” He said.. clutching his fist closed.
